There's plenty to talk about the Dolphins as they prepare for the Combine next week.
So this is a good time for a live chat.
I'll be here at 2 p.m. and if you are here, we can discuss the team. If you cannot be here then, leave your questions or comments now and I'll address them. You can check back later to see my response to your comment.
Topics on the table:
All free agency -- Miami's own and those about to be cut loose by other teams.
The draft. Who fits. Who doesn't. Miami's needs.
Anything else that comes to your mind.
Before anyone asks: The team has said the new logo will be unveiled in April. So that's out of the way.

Some of you cats are just wasting your breath. Ireland is still the GM. Tanny will be the starter next year.
Maybe it doesn't work out. Maybe it does but were not getting a new GM or QB this offseason. Move on.

"We used to always keep a verteran backup on the roster. Apparently though Moore isn't ready to give up on starting."
Moore might not be ready to give up on starting but I don't think GM's believe he's a starter. It looks like the only possibility is Cleveland but are they just going to bench Weeden after they just drafted him in the first round??? Weeden didn't have that bad of a season for a rookie either considering how few weapons he had.
KC??? No way. Not with Andy Reid. Moore isn't versed in the WCO.

Convince yourselves of what you want. Comparing Eli to Tanne is ridiculous. Eli comes from NFL genes, his dad was a star QB. By 12 years old the Manning kids already knew more about football than NFL rookies do.

Rick,
Well said. However if Long gets franchised or gets re-signed I'll actually understand why the Ireland hired a plane to fly over the stadium during the game. LOL!!!

Dofan Rick, also there would need Moore if gnou Tanehill was out injure and sdnds the team for six weeks even moths longer so they refd protect romthis and still gmnaes played that counted.

Okay...Then why did Eli suck his first three seasons in NY??? Are you going to tell me that the NY media wasn't starting to question if Eli was a bust??? B/c I live here & I remember that until Eli went on that first playoff run that resulted in his first SB there were a LOT of people wondering if the Giants didn't blow that pick.

What are your thoughts if that were to happen?
Posted by: johnny | February 17, 2013 at 04:38 PM
WNP,
I'm not all about franchising Long but the fact that they might want him back could be a good sign. I don't really have the warm and fuzzies about Martin at LT.
Maybe we'll get lucky an they can get Long resigned and still have a few bucks left to sign a few playmakers.
Posted by: Dolfan Rick | February 17, 2013 at 04:39 PM
Why not try T-Hill at WR?
Posted by: Mike | February 17, 2013 at 04:42 PM
Uh playmakers....Eli won two SB's against the most formidable coach/qb duo in history. What more can you ask for and what are you babbling about?
Posted by: Carl | February 17, 2013 at 04:43 PM
Marc, do ya have a John Beck jersey too? IDIOT!!
Posted by: LMFAO | February 17, 2013 at 04:44 PM
The Dolphins new logo has been finalized and I was able to get a peek at it because a friend works with the NFL's design team that was part of the process.
I can tell you it is NOT the one that circulated around (and the Herald is still showing for some reason). Other than that, I will only say it looks absolutely awesome, both futuristic AND a nod to the past--as you will all see for yourselves in April.
They're good at hiding it, too. There are NO links to anything that looks like the real deal.
Posted by: the seer | February 17, 2013 at 04:54 PM
Marc you see what I mean? You were a Henne fan until the end. In two years Tanne will be playing for the Jags just like Henne.
Posted by: Carl | February 17, 2013 at 04:57 PM
Carl, you running out of names to use bro? Its very obvious who you are and equally funny that you cant go more than two days without coming up with an alter ego in order to put people down for their opinions. You write normal football posts undr one name, yea we know who you are, and then attack ppl under other names because youre crazy.

Carl you're a stupid idiot. You're opinions are worthless. Thanks for stopping by moron.

lets clear the air when chad was our I did support him and wanted him to succeed ,now that he failed and moved on I can't really care about him either way.we are supposed to root for our team and our players.
I have followed and rooted for the Phins for over 40 years through the up and the downs
Posted by: Marc from nj | February 17, 2013 at 05:27 PM
After watching Tannehill in both college and pro I have no idea how he was drafted in the 1st rd.
Posted by: Phinmanski | February 17, 2013 at 05:29 PM
Time to wake up:
However, the stat book simply says otherwise. Ryan Tannehill has one of the lowest QB ratings in the entire NFL (72.5, which is 33rd of 36th in the NFL).

From the same article:
If you look at the Dolphin offense as a whole, the statistics are alarming. They rank 27th in points and 29th in total yardage.

Tannehill is 7th in the league in accuracy so there you go doubters and his qbr is 76 not to bad for a rookie
