Dolphins interest in DE Michael Bennett makes sense

Agent Drew Rosenhaus has a gift for getting the Miami Dolphins interested in his clients.

Sometimes that's been a problem such as the year he got tight end Eric Green to Miami as the signature free agent signing when the team really needed a defensive end. Sometimes, it's blessing.

Consider this a better moment because the Dolphins are interested in prospective Tampa Bay free agent defensive end Michael Bennett, a Rosenhaus client.

Bennett, one of the top pass rushers on the free agent market, is visiting the Dolphins today, The Herald's Adam Beasley has confirmed.

It makes sense.

Bennett, a five-year veteran, had nine sacks last season and the Dolphins desperately would like to add a classic 4-3 defensive end to put on the other side of the line opposite Pro Bowl defensive end Cameron Wake.

Bennet also makes sense for Miami because of the familiarity. He played at Texas A&M under Mike Sherman, now the Dolphins offensive coordinator. It's not a stretch to believe Sherman knows his former player.

Bennett has 13 sacks in the last two seasons (in 30 games) and 15 sacks in his career. Tampa Bay has said it wants Bennett back but obviously has not done enough to get him.

Ireland plays checkers while all the other GM's are playing chess.

Training day was a great Movie, like the bad Denzel. The movie he made Flight I just saw on demand the other day plays a junkie pilot and one of his better acting jobs for sure.

yeah, Seattle is loaded, assuming Wilson continues to improve......although that may be a big assumption once teams gameplan for him--but they're nasty good, great D, Lynch is a monster, now Harvin along with other good WRs--Vegas odds have them as one of the top 2-3 favorites to win it all--they're better than Atlanta.

You know as much about beef, Magoo, as about Football. I can gather that.

Later!

Should we really be worried, is long really handcuffing JI ? There must be a plan in place

Would You Rather Have This FA Class!!

El Moringon, El Morringon=====O))?

Oscar, You should live about 4 more years my friend,Seek Jesus for help.

No, I chew other things besides teeth. Mind your Grammar.

Kaepernick has more potential than R.Wilson. SF is still a better team. R.Wilson has plateau'd. Harvin is not that good and supposedly a headache.

F' Pete Carroll!! Almost AS HARD AS BRADY!!

While we're at it F' Jim Harbaugh!!

I am Jesus, so are you, and you.

Look at this fukkk saying Russell Wilson has plateaud. I need a break from here.

Watch your language.

;;;;;;)) Hasn't said a thing. You are the one putting words in my mouth.

Explain how Moronga is your favorite cut of Steak.

Do you chew Moronga Oscar?

Say what you want about Sean Smith. Now that he's gone, I'm sure we'll realize the one thing he was good at.

How many times do you here commentators talking about how the Corner just couldn't ellivate enough to hang with Calvin.......or Fitz........or Andre Johnson?

How many times did you see these Big Guys just taking the Ball away, just muscling the more diminuative corners?

I'm not saying we should have kept Smith by any means. I don't want to come up short at Corner(**For the second year in a row**), but I'm hopeful we can upgrade him. I can't forgive the guy-Plain and Simple-PERIOD!

Allow me to explain............

As a Rookie in that Pre Season game? Awwwwww.........What a Tease. He makes that one handed interception at the goal line! A thing of **B-E-A-U-T-Y**! The Promising looking Potential, The Gladiator we've been missing!

Turns out he's afraid of contact, takes plays(running)off and couldn't catch a cold!
================================

(Ahem...)...Excuse me for I digress. This post was supposed to be about the one good thing Smith could do.

As aoon as I started typing, I forgot all about it. All I could think of we're all the dropped Int's. I started picrturing them in my mind.........IN CHRONILOGICAL ORDER!

Fvck Sean Smith and May The Kansas City Chiefs enjoy his "Talents" as much as we did!

ValHalla!!!!

Doug Flutie was A better QB than Russell Wilson.

i don't care if his parents called him Spalding!!

the midget has plateaued, and adding Harvin doesn't help.

Wilson 2nd Year will be worst than his first year.

S.Smith and Dansby Were Partners.

The Dolphins lost more starters then any other team in FA.

I hope they line up Sean Smith on Wallace so we can tear him up.
Sean Smith 6ft 3, TY Hilton is a midget and he still scoring on hail mary's against Sean Smith.

i don't see the dolphins signing any free agent corner backs. the dolphins ain't going to pay for over priced corners that are on the market that have been busts over and over again like ansomugh how ever u spell his name the 10+ mil a year man that get's cut after 1 year everytime he sings with a new team! the dolphins right now have marshall and patterson under contract which i see the dolphins keep marshall but cutting dimitri patterson how ever u spell his last name the guy the picked up towards the end of the year because he is to make like 7 mil against the cap and ain't worth it! so they have 1 corner under contract worth noting plus like guys like mccann and so on that are rookies that played ok towards the end of the year! look for the dolphins to draft like 3 corners in the draft probly all in the first 2 rounds! i would not be surpised if the dolphins stand still and don't sign anybody in free agency for the corner postion but then draft 3 guys at corner in round 1 and take 2 guys in round 2! because right now it seems like we will get keller for TE and winston for right tackle and bennet for DE so then the only other postion that we would be in need of is corner really bad! so look for the dolphins to probly move up in the draft and select milliner at cb so the dolphins will move up from the 12 spot to like the 6th spot give up a 2nd rounder and get dee miliner then with there other 2nd round pick select another corner and then maybe even in the 3rd round pick up another corner! then with there other 3 and 4th round picks go o-lineman and there 5th pick go kicker cause i don't see fields staying with the dolphins much longer making 3 mil a year that is alot for any field goal kicker! espically since he was not elite last year and costed us a couple games! and then in round 7 and 7 we will go lineman some more! mark my words guys!

With the way the new Collective Bargaining Agreement makes young players much much much cheaper than they were, the logical strategy and the strategy Ireland is successfully following is to trade or dump older players who are not major playmakers and replace them with draftees THEN since all the teams basically have the same money, to focus the big salary cap money on playmakers.

The people complaining that we are not signing very good mid-range veterans while we are signing expensive high end veterans are missing out on the strategy.

Meanwhile in the draft I really hope we trade down a little to get Eifert and move our second round pick up some to get Ertz and give ourselves a first rate tandem of TE to compete with each other and give us great TE play for a decade. Or follow the same trading strategy including our #2 second round pick and get Eifert and Patterson with for our three first and second round picks.

The Dolphin's need to address also the CB.they can talk with Chris Gamble, Antoine Cason, E.J. Biggers, Tracy Porter, don't wait until is to late, TE. can be draft in April to

We can use both for depth this year. Injuries happen all the time. If liked Rhodes at 12 for some time now and it's starting to make more and more sense. It's starting to looking like most of our help at CB is going to come via the draft.

I’m impressed, I have to say. Really not often do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me inform you, you could have hit the nail on the head. Your concept is outstanding; the difficulty is something that not sufficient persons are speaking intelligently about. I'm very completely happy that I stumbled throughout this in my search for one thing relating to this. kliknij tu
