Travel day buffet of topics to discuss

PHOENIX -- Today is a travel day for me.

But I'm giving you plenty to chew on. If you check out my column from the NFL annual meeting, you'll see where the Dolphins stand and how they feel about a handful of intriguing players.

You'll see where Miami stands on Osi Umenyiora.

You'll see where Miami stands on Elvis Dumervil.

You'll see where Miami stands on John Abraham.

I believe it is a fairly complete roll call of the top pass rushers currently available in free agency and it shows the Dolphins want to upgrade the pressure on quarterbacks in 2013.

But there is more than one way to skin a ...  well ...  a quarterback. You'll also find out the name of a darkhorse candidate already on the roster -- other than Olivier Vernon -- the Dolphins think might become a good pass rusher based on what they saw in practice last year.

And you'll find out why such veterans as Umenyiora and others now consider the Dolphins as they wind down their careers when in the past they might not have.

You'll find out that defensive tackle remains a "want" for the Dolphins (Remember, they go by "musts," then "needs," then "wants" in the order of priority additions.)

By the way, the column doesn't mention Dwight Freeney as an option. That's not because he's not, but rather I simply forgot to ask about him. Why?

He's older than the veteran ends the Dolphins are more seriously considering. He also wasnt quite as productive last year. I suppose he should be on this list, but my gut tells me he's definitely not at the front of the line.

The column also does not discuss OT. The Dolphins have scheduled a visit with former Chiefs and former Texans right tackle Eric Winston today. First order of business is a physical for him and then he'll meet with OL coaches. He visited last year after being cut by the Texans and has multiple teams interested.

The Dolphins are looking for a tackle after losing Jake Long in free agency.

ALOCO HAS A NEW GANG HE CALLS THEM THE GANG OF H O M O S.

((BUFFETT OF QUEENIES))

I THOUGHT THIS FOOTBALL BLOG. WHY ALOCO OSCAR AND YG MAKING THIS GAY MESSAGE BOARD. TRY CRAIGSLIST LOSERS

We got plenty of ammo this year. Tyler Eifert at #12 would be great too. Best TE in the draft, we would have our version of Gronk and Hernandez with Eifert and Keller. How about Jonathan Cooper, athletic strong zone blocker that can open holes for Miller and Thomas. It's not as sexy a pick as Austin, or Eifert, but we all know the battle is won in the trenches.

I SEE THE "FILTHY AMIGO GANG" HAS ARRIVED, GOT TO GO TO WORK SO THE UNEMPLOED CAN POST ALL NIGHT LONG.

TO BE
OR
NOT TO BE.

ALOCO SAY HE GO TO WORK AT 6 THIS MORNING. NOW HE GOES TO WORK AT 6 TONIGHT?

YESTERDAY HE SAY HE GO TO WORK AT 10 OCLOCK AND THEN 7.

UNLESS ALOCO IS "SELF EMPLOYED" ON THE CORNER OF SW 15th Ave. and SW 8th Street, I THENK SOMEONE IS BIG GAY LIAR.

JUST WHEN HE MAKES PROGRESS AND COMES OUT OF CLOSETS HE GOES BACK IN DENIAL.

TO BE GAY

OR

HIDE IN CLOSEST

Lol @6:49. What's up guys, glad to see everyone is still getting along nicely.

The Fins bringing in Guard Brandon Moore in today tells me that they want to replace Jerry. I have never been a John Jerry fan and I don't think that he is a good fit for Philbin's OL. Even if Moore does not sign, I am thinking the fins may take a Guard early in the draft.

If the fins do not get any additional OL help in FA. I could see them taking G Chance Warmack first and then OT Menelik Watson in the second or OT Lane Johnson and then G Barret Jones in the second. This would be similar to what the fins did under Shula with Webb and Simms.

Go fry your meatballs and French fries little boy.

Except for Millner, I don't like any of the other corners going in the first round. I know that it is a huge need but I rather look to BPA first and then need. Here are the best possible first round choices for us:

1. Lane Johnson
2. Chance Warmack
3. Jonathen Cooper
4. Ezekiel Ansah
5. Jarvis Jones
6. Bjorn Werner (maybe)

You want that first round pick in the draft to be an impact player. The players referenced above will have an impact early and Johnson, Warmack, and Cooper will be perenial pro bowlers. Taking Rhodes with that pick is a big stretch; he looked like a pretty average player at FSU. You can take an average corner later on in the draft.

LAST NIGHT WAS AN EPIC NITE.........

THE MASTER VS THE DRUNK ........

THE MASTER WON

Orlando Dolphan, I'm not a big fan of taking a guard at 12. Actually, Warmack doesn't really excite me either. Kinda short 6:2 and I think that will eventually take its toll. Rather have a playmaker at 12. Vaccaro, Rhodes, Millner, Eifert, Anash would be my pick if any are there. BPA IMO

It's pretty interesting that ALoco "goes to work" and suddenly most of the sign in names from the last 2 hours all disappear.

Coincidence? Yeah..........Right-lol!

Anywhoo........I'm so glad that Jeff Fisher has absolutely NOTHING to do with my Miami Dolphins.

I just saw Fisher on NFL Net explaining the new Helmet rule. Two things came to mind......

1. Fisher is a weak, lost individual.

2. He should be unceremoniously DUMPED from the NFL's Competition Committee.

I feel some empathy for the Rams Fan Base and more so for their players. If this wasn't so pitiful it would be hilarious. Mark my words, Fisher LOST HIS LOCKER ROOM and the season hasn't even started.

Think about that. How can he look his players in the eye, knowing that they know he was a "Leading Proponent" of this ridiculous Rule change.

After his failures in Tennessee and now this, Fisher just signed his own Death Warrant as far as being a Head Coach.

Thank God Fisher wasn't hired here. Can you imagine if we had to watch our own Head Coach on the NFL Net trying to sell everyone this sissified Rule Change?

The saddest day I've ever had as an NFL Fan was the day I heard of Coach Shula's so-called retirement.

With this ludacris Helmet Rule, this is EASILY the 2nd saddest day ever in the History of the NFL!

(PS: Please help flood NFL.com's website with all of your opinions on this. Speak up and be heard. Post your distaste with this idiocy anywhere and everywhere that you can think of. I am!)

More like the master-bater won if u ask me.

Marino losing to Montana was pretty SHHHYTY!

ALoco, you're boyfriend is no master. Well, not here on the blog, what you guys do in the privacy of your closet is no business of mine.

Amywhoo........your boyfriend was wrong in his posts. Then he got caught lying when he tried to hide the fact he was WRONG.

Other than that, he squealed out a bunch of name calling(some Master-lol).

Nothing more, nothing less. It's all there in black and white.

(I have to say, I do admire your devotion. Stick by your Man at any cost. I imagine you'd make a fine woman. Of course, I'm sure your so-called master tells you that all the time-ROTFLMAO)

I'd put that over Shula retiring and this pansy rule change.

go finsssssss

odin no use in trying to convince others out of what they saw with their own eyes. You were toasted and fried last not. You didn't even compete, only made yourself look more foolish...something you are good at anyway.

By rescinding the "Tuck Rule", the NFL has ESSENTIALLY admitted to cheating fro Brady and the Pats.

With all these new rules of the past 10 years, especially the newest helmet rule, the NFL is giving officials more and more power to manipulate the outcome of games.

We've all seen how Brady and the Pats get all the calls and preferential treatment(among a few select others). These new rules allow for more and more "selective" officiating by NFL crews.

This is just one more step in the march to make the NFL just like the World Wrestling Federation. It's all about the money. And the WWF is one GIGANTIC cash cow.

Can you imagine the NFL with **32** gigantic cash cows? That's what it's coming too. Flood the websites with your protest! Do something.......Unnnnnnnnggggggh!

Odin.....

Interesting take.....

ROTFLMAO!!!!

Ya just figurin this out now slowpoke?

Yeah, make them run early.

Lamar Miller will become a star this season

I can see us drafting lane Johnson at 12 overall

Do people really believe adding ROTFLMAO to their post convinces anyone of anything?

I say it makes them look desperate for someone to laugh with them....even though nothing they said was even funny.

People who routinely use ROTFLMAO were totally brainwashed by sitcom tv and laugh tracks, so they have no clue what is funny, they need to be told when to laugh.

Certainly the Heat have given Us a lot of Pleasure. So have the Marlins. The Dolphins, not so much.

And If You Are Gay Admit That You Are Gay Spo'!!

This comiing from someone who can't admmit he is wrong 95% of the time. Go figure.

WTH is going on here? Organize yourselves!

Now THAT was funny - **Bu-oy** - **ROTFLMAO** !!!!

How's the weather down there oscar

Stop it! Just Stop It!

Right now I'm only LMAO!

But if you keep this up, I'll be:

**ROTFLMAO**

And we don't want THAT now, do we?

Sign E.Winston And B.Moore!!

But Sure Go And Tell People How Dashi Only Wanted Jake Long Back. Might As Well Tell People Dashi Wanted A.Levitre Also.

But Agreed. E.Winston, B.Moore!! That Completes The Line.

And Trade The #12 For Revis!!

All The Must And Needs Are Filled!! If They Want To Go After A DE Or RB Early!! They Can.

Ireland Just Needs To Hit .500 In This Draft!! 6 New Players Starting Or Competing To Start!! And The Fins Will Give The Pats' A Run For Their Money!!

Philbin Wants It To Be 11!! So Ireland Better Get It Right!!

I know what's going on. They are pressing. Play your Game. Have fun with it. You do so, you'll win it. Guaranteed.

Loosen up, Man, loosen up.

Notice how the troll routinely turns odin into a silly juvenile monkey. Or maybe he is just that way.

Well, we'll see.

I don't think anyone cares who's proven wrong or right on this blog. Myself I hate having to wade through the nonsense to find someone's post that is actually about football that I can comment on. I saw that whole weird pissing match about Drew Brees last night and thought to myself "who gives a crap?"

I remember Csonka at the beginning of his carrer used to finish runs with his head and got knocked out often. Shula and Carl Tassef straighted him out teaching him to hit with his chest.

Heat down by 19 at Cleveland at the half. Kyrie Erving is not even playing. Wow this would be an ugly way for the streak to end.

Fukkk you, Orlando.

I Agree With The Leading With Your Helmet Rule.

You Are Taught Not To Lead With Your Helmet!!

2 Things!!

One You Can Break Your Neck!! For Leading With Your Head!!

And 2

When You Lead With Your Head!! You Are Looking Down The Whole Time!! You Lose All Vision!! RB's Need To See Where They're Going!!

Even When You Tackle!! They Tell You Don't Lead With Your Helmet!!

That Are What Shoulder Pads Are For!! Drop A Shoulder!!

Ask D.Thomas About Leading With His Helmet!! And Not His Shoulder!!

Who Here Has Seen Someone Lead With Their Helmet!! And Break His Neck!! And Have The Ambulance Come!! And Everybody Be Scared That Guy Won't Live!!

Or Guys Lead With their Helmets!! And Shred Someones Knee!!

This Is A Smart Rule!!

If The Heat Lose Is It Still The Longest Streak In 40years?

Or The Longest Streak Since 08!!

You no wanna think lose, Dashi.

Yes!

I can't believe the trolls that are roaming this blog. Armando it is time to clean up this blog or you are going to end up losing the bloggers that come in to post about sports.

Come on Armando, you know what to do.

You no wanna think lose, Dashi.

Posted by: oscar canosa | March 20, 2013 at 08:57 PM

Forgot To Change To ALoco And Write It In Capital?

Of Course Dashi Doesn't Want The Heat To Lose!!

I Blame Spoelstra If The Heat Lose Vs The Cav's!!

Fukkk.

Heat down by 24. It looks like the streak will end tonight.

I guess the Heat will start resting their players now. I guess the second best record is not bad but I thought they had a real shot at 33.

Orlando,

78% of the posts here are trolls or multi-name regular users. If Mando loses the trolls, he loses the blog.

Oscar Oscar it will be ok don't you worry yourself

Yes, The Second Longest Streak In 40 Years!!

The Longest In 5 Years!!

Worse things can happen in life , trust me

Yea you are probably right about Armando losing the blog without the Trolls.

Trolls truly suck

You no blame nobody when you lose, Dashi, you blame yourself(yeah, I know, you're the mightiest, Ho Ho).

Yea Marc,

The best thing to do is ignore the Trolls. Most are a bunch of cowards who hide behind a keyboard.

There is nothing worst than signing on and talking to yourself while the Trolls post. It is really annoying.
