Brady's doing it, but Tannehill and his WRs working also

The NFL was aflutter for about a day this week when the University of Southern California athletics department tweeted a photo of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady working out with new slot receiver Danny Amendola at the USC facilities.

Somewhere, Peyton Manning probably got to thinking about flying to see Wes Welker and matching Brady throw for throw.

Everywhere around the NFL fans were both impressed and depressed -- the first with the idea that Brady is already working on his craft four months before the start of the preseason and secondly, that their hometown QBs might not be keeping pace.

I know some Dolphins fans got worried.

I got emails from a couple.

I had some ask me on twitter if Ryan Tannehill is also working with Miami's receivers or whether he's vacationing and playing tennis as he did last week.

Well, relax.

Someone asked Tannehill about Brady putting in work and Tannehill responded:

"Been having throwing session (sic) w my wideouts for weeks now," Tannehill tweeted.

Within seconds of that tweet, one of the receivers apparently joining those sessions jumped into the fray.

"Ya! Check yo self!" Brian Hartline added in some unremarkable English.

(Just kidding, Brian).

And although I cannot tell you how many Miami receivers are involved in these sessions, or how frequent they are or whether new additions Mike Wallace, Dustin Keller and Brandon Gibson are involved, at least you can know that folks aren't just standing around watching Brady gain chemistry with his newest receiver.

By the way, Brady on Thursday did a session with Terrell Owens.

I would be surprised if the Patriots are going to sign Owens, 39 and two years out of regular-season action, to a contract. And I know the Dolphins aren't going to do it, either.

I say this because I expect those are the next questions someone is bound to ask.

A new QB would be nice. Matt Barkley or Geno Smith.

That's why my wife kicked my ass out till the draft

I am hoping that Montgomery slips to the 3rd round and that we take him (unless we take Ansah in the first round). He was projected to be a first rounder and the fact that he indicated that he took games off hurt his draft stock. However, he was just honest about what most players do in college football. I actually like him better than Mingo.

For real

I am living in a shack in the woods

Capitalism is based on the concept that Nothing is easy.

Ok it's really a cottage

Capitalism is a wonderful thing

Tannehill to Wallace TOUCHDOWN MIAMI

Good one between Syracuse and Michigan...

I prefer drafting most players out of the "sec" who shine...cause their more proven to me...the sec if by far the most physical conference and most competitive every week, every year! Alabama develops and produces best offensive linemen, always solid runnning backs and defensive players...

Michigan not playing well right now...

And we have no RB's.

Ok, forget any idiots who think west virginia slot wr austin will be drafted by miami dolphins!! We have two slot guys in gibson and bess now...we need more outside help still..with size, speed, his names patterson, a taller percy harvin! Enough said...

"Patterson" can put up "points" on the score board! Enough said....be tuff for any corner to cover patterson, more less patterson and wallace....go four wide with :
1)wallace
2)patterson
3)hartline
4)gibson

Tight end dustin keller....

Crazy gooooood.....don't know any defense capable of stoping all these play makers!!!!! No defense!

marko, the only way I see us taking a WR is if they trade Bess...If not, why would they spend a first rounder on a WR? Makes no sense...

Anyway, good night all...I'm out.

So With Capitalism...Is it ALL or NOTHING.

Can we construct a simple, yet structured environment that allows everyone to pursue wealth ?

Are you considered a communist or a socialist if you advocate rules designed to deter dishonesty ?

In other words...If we want to be Capitalists....must we all agree to embrace a significant amount crooked guys who spend all their effort trying to rip ignorent people off, Callude to fix prices with their competitors, and bribe those who are supposed to regulate them?

Just a Question.

WHO INVENTED MONEY ?

Ah Aloco !!

I'm pretty sure that (from a US perspective) it was James Madison.

How was your dinner ?
.
.
.
.

Actually... I meant to say Alexander Hamilton.
.
.
.
.

Mr. Hamilton basically funded the construction of New York City.

.
.

There were no Superbowls when Alexander Hamilton was alive.
.

.
.

WHAT DID YOU EAT FOR DINNER ALOCO ??

ARE YOU SURE IT WAS HAMILTON ?

MY DINNER WAS;;;;

LAMB BURGER WITH ,ONION RINGS AND SWEET FRIES ..

RUBARB HONEY CRISP..

I HAD SALMON AU POIVRE LAST NIGHT WITH SUTEES BABY ARGULA AND RICE BILAF ,

That Lamb sounds good...

Yes...Hamilton is the reason for much of our system today.

He pioneered many banking funding concepts that are still used today

SUTEED BABY ARUGLA

Ah....I LOVE Wild Caught Alaskan Salmon !
.
.
.
.

CABTAIN LOU..THANKS FOR THAT INFO ..

NOW I CAN CLAIM TO THE PWOPLE I KNOW THAT INFO IS MINE ..CAN I ?

THE WORST SALMON IS THE FARM CRAPPY SALMON WHICH COMES FRON THE DIRTY CHINA,AND THE OTHER ASIAN PLACES .....

Do you remember when the Dolphins were relevant?
Me neither.

You must get Salmon that was caught in the either the Ocean or Alaska.

The polluted farm is poison.
.
.
.
.

...and in keeping with the above theme...

The crooked farm owners have bought the name "Atlantic Salmon" to trick everyone into eating their crap.
.
.
.

That's Right...We've been having discussions about S A L M O N !!!!

LOU,

WHO SAID THAT GOLD WORTH MORE THAN IRON ?

Aloco,

My guess is a guy named 'James Fisk'.

but I don't know for sure.

Anyway gotta go join my girl in our bed...

I actually like new phins helmet and logo better, that wussy helmet on logo had to go! Much improved finally without drastic changes...also love face mask on helmet is all white...waiting to see complete new uniforms...positive changes!

Yea...gotta order hat and t shirt with new phins logo, go rock it on draft day...hurry up draft day!

yea....first two rounds probably gonna draft a corner or two, tackle or safety next...or vise versa...add a pass rusher in 3rd or 4th round since its a deep draft for that..

This team has so many holes they could draft any position.

I saw a lot of Alabama games and Warmack's play just stands out. This guy consistantly destroyed the man in front of him. There is no waiting for him to develop. He is a pro-bowler as soon as he puts on a jersey. I am sure Lamar Miller would love this pick. We would finally have a player that can go one on one with Vince Wilfork. Warmack is definately a good option if available.

It seems like we heard the same exact things about DeCastro last year. We are still waiting to see how that pans out.

Big mistake Lou. The resident Troll here had/has such a hard time getting Women, he's opted out for Men.

I have nothing against any one's preferences, but The Resident Troll here does. Besides being a hypocrite, he goes bat shyt crazy at the mere mention of anyone having a Beautiful Woman.

He will stalk you and call you all kinds of liars this and liars that.

He had such a hard time with the rejection and all, he thinks it's near impossible for others to "Score" with the "Hotties".

All I do is tell him about my Favorite Brunette and I get out of his way. Like Pavlov's Little Be-Atch, he jumps through my Hoops and cries, whines, pisses and moans about how impossible it was for him to get any "Female Companionship". And how anyone claiming to have done so, must be a liar.

ROTFLMAO-It's hilarious the way he tells on himself without even realizing it.

Sit Boo-Boo......SIT!

**YeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaH MICHIGAN!!!!**

Matter of fact, she won't even wait for me to post at all tonight.

She's making me watch "The Fourth Kind".

She's Bossy sometimes. I just hope this isn't a Chick Flick-LOL!

Buh Bye Troll Boy!!!!

Why "just kidding" on the ghetto fab twitter?

PHINS 78 AND DOLPHIN RICK I CAN SEE YOUR POINT AND IT DOES MAKES SENSE AFTER YOU TWO BROKE IT DOWN. THIS IS A DRAFT WHERE THERE IS NOT A LOT OF SEPARATION FROM TOP 20 TO THE NEXT 20. WITH THAT I COME TO THIS CONCLUSION! SINCE THE FINS HAVE SCREWED UP THE 3RD ROUND SELECTIONS OVER THE PAST YEARS THAN YES WE NEED AS MANY CHANCES IN THE 3RD TO GET IT RIGHT!! NO PROBLEM TRADING DOWN!!

Salmon is a fresh water fish you moron it does not live in any ocean!!!!!!!! Gee wiz go to the keys and try to catch a salmon hahahahahahaha

We should draft some of that ocean salmon!!!!!!!M

I believe we will draft a defensive end at 12 overall Dion Jordan makes sense he reminds me of Jason Taylor

Remember this when you have the chance to draft a true qb hunter and an overall menace you make the pick

jordan wont be there at 12

After giving this much thought and reading some rather humorous posts on this blog, I have come to the conclusion that the LT/RT problem is a GLARING problem. True fans that know the game of football know the importance of good OL play and they are starting to get nervous as the draft approaches that the position has gone unaddressed in FA since Long was not resigned.

Now, Im sure the Dolphins are well aware of this problem. For goodness sakes, they plan contracts out and know salary cap ramifications probably like 5-7 years out. All those numbers and small details and calculations! With that being said, Im sure they are WELL AWARE of the biggest problem right under their noses- LT/RT.

My gut tells me that the Dolphins made a strong push for Long very late before he signed with STL because Ireland's PLAN A must have fallen through. I dont know what plan A was, but it must not have worked, hence the late push for Long, albeit at a lower price($8 million) than Long thought he was worth on the open market ($10 million). I also honestly believe that the Dolphins will not just rely on the draft to fill out the position.

So here's the conclusions Ive come too: 1. The Dolphins are willing to trade for Brandon Albert but are waiting for KC's price to go down. They have the money to sign Albert to a long term deal (3-5 years) but dont want to give up a 2nd or 3rd round pick IMO. 2. The Dolphins are not going to sign Eric Winston- the reasons of which have been speculated but nothing concrete. Maybe its Winston's ego thinking he is worth more than he is, maybe its that the Dolphins that only want him for 1 year and he wants more than that. 3. The Dolphins are waiting on the KC deal to see if it is a go before bringing in guys like McKinnie, Clabo, or Gaither (I might be the only guy on these blogs who mentions Gaither). 4. The Dolphins will address the Tackle position in the draft- 4a. Johnson or another top three Tackle falls to them at 12 or 4b. they trade up to grab one.

Philbin's philosophy, so weve been told, is to not give up picks and build through the draft. The trade up scenario does not make sense because it would require giving up another high pick. I think they will give up a pick for Brandon Albert but they want it lower than the 3rd round at this point.

SO for those of us fans worried about the Tackle position, that is where I feel that the Dolphins are at. We will see what happens.

So here's the conclusions Ive come too: 1. The Dolphins are willing to trade for Brandon Albert but are waiting for KC's price to go down. Well I agree with your above statement. However the need is so great at the OT position with the options before the draft narrowing. So The Dolphins need to pull the trigger soon. They could always go LT in the 1st round but I'm sure Ireland and Philbin want to go either DE or CB in the first round to get someone elite at either of those positions.

they will make a trade with kc on the eve of the draft

Who's thinking Vacarro visiting is just the Phins doing their homework? I don't think Safety is the expensive position Mr. Ireland was saying he likes to draft.

Clabo is out there and available. It maybe wise to offer him the same terms as Winston.

Promichael and Dusty,

Agreed- pull the DAMN TRIGGER! Probably on the eve of the draft or maybe the night of the draft depending on who is available at the #12 pick. We could wake Friday morning after using our #12 pick on someone other than a Tackle and read a headline that states- "Dolphins trade 3rd or 4th rounder to acquire Albert"- hell even a 5th or 7th rounder(wishful thinking)would be even better.

every report here in kc is they want 2 picks but i think right before draft they will lower demands for him

I forgot to mention- the thing is I think KC needs Albert this next year and arent looking to give him away. They are going to draft Joeckel and still need that other tackle- hence they franchised Albert. They won't just give him away for nothing.

In that scenario- I dont want the Dolphins to give up more than a 3rd- max in a trade. One third rounder, this year only Hell- like I said in the previous post- I want it to be a 5th or all three 7th rounders- but Im realistic! No future considerations or draft picks in 2014! I will be pissed if Ireland gets swindled into giving up a second rounder or multiple picks. I will bet Joe Philbin will be pissed too if he covets keeping the picks the way he is said to.

Dadsmith,

Assuming the tackle position is addressed by something other than the #12 pick, GUys like Vaccaro and Richardson make sense as BPA because Clemons only signed for one year and Starks and Soliai same thing. The Dolphins consider the D line the team's strength and want to keep that way so I can really see a guy like Richardson or Lotueilei picked. Same for Vaccaro.

why would anybody live in KC?

good question yuck. ill get back to gulf side of fla someday
