Brady's doing it, but Tannehill and his WRs working also

The NFL was aflutter for about a day this week when the University of Southern California athletics department tweeted a photo of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady working out with new slot receiver Danny Amendola at the USC facilities.

Somewhere, Peyton Manning probably got to thinking about flying to see Wes Welker and matching Brady throw for throw.

Everywhere around the NFL fans were both impressed and depressed -- the first with the idea that Brady is already working on his craft four months before the start of the preseason and secondly, that their hometown QBs might not be keeping pace.

I know some Dolphins fans got worried.

I got emails from a couple.

I had some ask me on twitter if Ryan Tannehill is also working with Miami's receivers or whether he's vacationing and playing tennis as he did last week.

Well, relax.

Someone asked Tannehill about Brady putting in work and Tannehill responded:

"Been having throwing session (sic) w my wideouts for weeks now," Tannehill tweeted.

Within seconds of that tweet, one of the receivers apparently joining those sessions jumped into the fray.

"Ya! Check yo self!" Brian Hartline added in some unremarkable English.

(Just kidding, Brian).

And although I cannot tell you how many Miami receivers are involved in these sessions, or how frequent they are or whether new additions Mike Wallace, Dustin Keller and Brandon Gibson are involved, at least you can know that folks aren't just standing around watching Brady gain chemistry with his newest receiver.

By the way, Brady on Thursday did a session with Terrell Owens.

I would be surprised if the Patriots are going to sign Owens, 39 and two years out of regular-season action, to a contract. And I know the Dolphins aren't going to do it, either.

I say this because I expect those are the next questions someone is bound to ask.

Nothing suggested the pundits were wrong about Jamarcus Russel. Some of the top pundits said he had the best pro day they ever saw. Jimmy Johnson was already a TV analyst then. He said the Raiders need a QB and they have to take JR.

John Jerry started every game for 2 plus years he's a very good lineman and versatile also

Warmack is the highest rated guard in the draft. Cooper may be a little more athletic and more suited for zone blocking.

Warmack is a beast run blocker and does get to the 2nd level but he's a good pass blocker as well.

Both have alot of starts under their belts.

Seriously doubt Warmack will be there at 12.

Marc, I haven't given up on Jerry either...But he's a much better tackle than guard...I would let him compete with Martin at LT...Remember when Long got injured? Jerry stepped in and did very well...Even better than Martin did last year...

I think philbin and mr. Jeff know better than us what we need and who it will be all we can do is guess and I guess we trade back and take more picks

One has miami drafting west virgina wr treyvon austin...why would miami draft austin a slot wr after we just signed free agent wr gibson who plays slot also, and we still have slot wr bess....not happening!
If we draft a wr it won't be a slot wr, we need somebody else like tennessee vols wr patterson who has size, speed, elusiveness, hands, and the biggest upside of all wr's in draft! Runs a 4.2

"Wr" Patterson looks and moves shifty like percy harvin, only taller!!!! Can stop and cut on a dime, shifts gears lighting fast..this guys a big time playmaker!!!

I agree with all you are saying about Warmack. The Middle of our OL would be dominant with Incognito, Pouncey, and Warmack. That is certainly another option. This would enable you to wait until the thrid round to take an OT.

I saw a lot of Alabama games and Warmack's play just stands out. This guy consistantly destroyed the man in front of him. There is no waiting for him to develop. He is a pro-bowler as soon as he puts on a jersey. I am sure Lamar Miller would love this pick. We would finally have a player that can go one on one with Vince Wilfork. Warmack is definately a good option if available.

Drafts got depth for pass rushers, so I don't see first two picks being a defensive end...I see left tackle of wr...maybe corner..you can get a solid pass rusher deeper in this draft!

Orlando, I don't even know if Ireland will draft Warmack...I'm not going to sit here and pretend I know all the answers like a lot of bloggers do...I don't...But I love the guy...I also love Kenny Vaccaro...I mean...I love physical players...Vaccaro is not the fastest guy around but he can bring on the hammer...I remember a guy who wore #42...Ronnie Lott...Wasn't the fastest guy on the field but man...WRs and TEs HATED playing against him...The other guy I like is Eifert...One word why I like him...Red zone threat...We need some of those...Last time I checked Miami had a very hard time scoring TDs...

I think a corner and tackle are most important needs first, then defensive end and wr, then safety, tight end, running back..but what order we all will find out soon enough...

It is hard to say what Ireland will do or for that matter who will be available when we pick. My favorite players that could be available for us at 12 are in this order:

1. Ansah
2. Warmcack
3. Vaccaro
4. Cooper
5. Austin

The other players either won't be there or will be a reach. Let's take the best player available!

We do need another wr playmaker, cause when wr mike wallace is blowing past those corners,they will have to send help to try and cover wallace, freeing up other guys..and that will stretch field for rb lamar miller to have more field to run with...offensive coordinator mike shermans great offensive mind !

Ok, so you draft horizontally: like =, spread the Players manning a position along a horizontal line, I'm assuming beginning with the BAP for that position. Now, which position do you put on the Top line? QB? DE? Need? Ask Ireland, Armando. Also, there must be vertical rows in that Board, I guess by, 1st round, 2nd round, etc. Significance? Nothing is easy.

Out of the four I named two will go in the 1st,and 2 will go in the 2nd

I would draft the best player available as well but I have to admit I don't like our corners...But I would also love to give Tannehill another weapon...Many possibilities...

Miami can add a pass rusher in round 3 or later, plus we should allow last years defensive end from university of miami to prove he's improved...what's his name? Vernon? Forget....but would not spend first 3 or 4 picks on a pass rusher cause its this drafts strengths with plenty of them.
