The 2013 season is important for the Dolphins.

It's the 40-year anniversary of their last Super Bowl win. It's the year we're supposed to see Ryan Tannehill become a franchise quarterback. It's the year Joe Philbin is supposed to have enough horses to win. It's a make or break year for general manager Jeff Ireland.

And this is how it is going to stack up according to NFL and media sources:

September 8              at Cleveland Browns                    1 pm

September 15            at Indianapolis Colts                     1 pm

September 22            Atlanta Falcons                             4:05 pm

September 30            at New Orleans Saints (Mon)           8:40 pm

October 6                  Baltimore Ravens                           1 pm

October 13                 BYE

October 20                 Buffalo Bills                                   1 pm

October 27                at New England Patriots                  1 pm

October 31                Cincinnati Bengals (Thurs)                8:25 pm

November 11             at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Mon)        8:40p

November 17             San Diego Chargers                            1 pm

November 24             Carolina Panthers                              1 pm

Dashi, Wow, You got to be two sheets to the wind.
How long have you been drinking today?

8 straight wins to end the season Dashi??

That would be sweet.

Cant really tell you if Miami likes Jarvis or not. Kevin Coyle seems to favor players with history of high turnover ratio on defense. Im not sure if this exactly rules out defensive players who do not meet Ireland's "prototype" mandate.

Last season's was primarily an "offensive draft", except for Vernon pretty much. We'll see if anything changes with defenders drafted this year.

We are tied for the 8th toughest schedule for 2013. I don't think the schedule is all that bad. Many of the AFC teams have taken a step back. The offense has to be ready out of the gate to put points on the board. Luck, Ryan and Brees will a great test for Tannehill.

WhoTH is named Gildo these days? Gilda, yes, especially a red haired One.

That Is Dashi The Homer Talking. This Would Be After The Draft. Right Now The Fins Are 10-6.

When You Look At The Schedule The Farthest The Fins Travel Is Cleveland On Opening Week.

Not Bad.

We Also Don't Play That Many Games In The Cold. Which You Need For A Pass Heavy Attack.

Newsome is the best GM in the game. He will draft a WR (Allen, woods, hunter) to rpl Boldin and hit on more picks than he misses to rpl the others. If u think Baltimore will not be formidable this year (just like they are most every year).......I want sum of what your puffin!

Lots of teams going to regret passing on Cordarelle.

This looks like 0-5 at the bye week.

I'll hope for the best but prepare for the worst.

I think the schedule looks tougher than it really is. Our record will depend a lot on the remainder of our acquisitions at OL, DB, defensive line, & TE. Obviously we can't fill ALL the holes this poor team ended up with last year. I like what we've done so far but we're still a pretty holy team as is.

We need T-hill to shine in the worst way.

Rick,

Yes. 8 wins To End The Season. Dashi Was Going To Put Another Loss To The Patriots. But We Are Going To Split The Series 1-1.

It sounds as if you've got a pretty sweet Valhalla.

You must be new to the blog. He has had the same two hotties for over five years now, Righty and Lefty.

Phillie,

I read the other day that the Ravens are pretty high on Tommy Streeter to replace Boldin.

Dolphins will only be favored in 4-5 games. YIKES!

Ha!

Still only three posters here talking to themselves.

yeah no doubt rick, ill be there

Cleveland - W.

It's Cleveland. That Should be Enough. They Got Bigger Problems Than Football Games Right Now. They Probably Are Going To Be Owned By Someone Else. On Top Of That The Fins Have A Better Team Overall. At Every Position But LT. The Irony.

Indianapolis - W!!

Without S. Smith or K. Dansby. This Win Should Almost Be A Guarantee. But It Would Be Close. A. Luck Is The Truth.

Atlanta - W

We Will Beat Matt Ryan. And Beat Him Bad.

New Orleans- L

The Saints Will Be Pretty Good With D. Brees And Payton Back Together. This Game Will Be A Shootout. Our Defense Will Still Be Gelling To Face Such A Potent Offense.

No one seen the team play 1 game, but we are predicting wins and loses.

Just like Oscar said, we are the unknown.

I see 10-6 this year so far. I believe they'll be good but could be even better after the draft. We were 2 missed FG's away from 9-7. So adding one win from that isn't too big of stretch.

rg3 gets 5 prime time games :)

11 of 16 games we face above to upper echelon qb's, with the exception of Cam Newton and Josh Freeman being he only two in the 11 not being playoff qb's.

Our only reprieve is facing Buffalo and the Jets twice, then Cleveland. We'll definitely find out pretty quickly this year if we have a pass rush and secondary.

and predicting before the draft even, comical

Yeah, about 39 other bloggers said the exact same thing for the last three years.

greg d,

*Miller, Thomas, and a draft pick will run the ball.

*Pouncy,Cogs, Martin, Albert or draft pick, Jerry or Louis will block.

*Hartline, Keller and Bess can get open.

*Grimes most likely will start the season. If not Patterson or Marshall will along with a top rookie.

*Clemons will have competition.

* Some of the best kickers last year were rookies.

9 of 11 games are against playoff caliber qb's. Even two of those 11, could be playoff caliber qb's(Newton/Freeman).

I definitely don't want to be in the win-loss prediction club face any of these 11 qb's this year. Oh yeah, 2 Brady games counts in those 11 qb's.

dusty and oscar same person?

Very happy with this schedule!!

Finally last game is NOT in Foxboro!!!

Right my only concern is that FAT D-BLIMP from KC coming here!!!

Please tell this is isn't going to happen!!!

This schedule should allow for an **EASY** 9 wins.

That's being swept by the Pats and losing 3 straight too the Falcons, Saints and Ravens. Which I don't thinks happens no way, no how. Being conservative, I'm counting San Diego as a loss too. Though, again, I don't think it happens. That's the CONSERVATIVE prediction and 9 wins would be considered improvement.

Putting that out there, optimistically speaking and with a few breaks and lucky bounces our way, I could see us doing really well against this schedule.

11 wins isn't out of the realm of possibilities. And I sincerely believe this to be the case, without having seen the results of an 11 pick draft. We've had our problems in the past and MORE than our share of bad luck. I think that's over now. With Philbin and the new staff, I think we've turned a corner talent wise and philosophically speaking as well. I think we get at least 9 wins on **Karma Alone-LOL**

With this Free Agency Class, the 11 pick draft helping on the slightest and this new Coaching Staff righting the ship, I have no problem with an 11 win prediction!

Valhalla!!!!

From PFT:

But the Dolphins can at least talk to Albert’s agent about working out a long-term contract. And if they can agree on those terms, don’t be surprised if the Dolphins end up sending a second-round draft pick to Kansas City. And don’t be surprised to see Albert in a Dolphins uniform.

We Are Playing The Team, Not The QB.

Ravens
Chargers
Panthers
Bucs
Browns
Colts
Steelers

Are Not Real Good Teams.

Or The Jets Or Bills.

Only Real Good Teams The Fins Will Face Are

Falcons
Pats
Saints
Bengals

We are still on our longest losing season streak since the teams inception and look at some of you donkeys celebrating already.

greg d,

answers + responses

who is going to run the ball? Miller + Thomas
who is going to block? Everyone
who can get open besides wallace? Bess, Hartline, Gibson + Keller
grimes may not even start the season Says who?
clemons won't touch the football more than twice Ha!
we need a kicker Ha!

odin said all that in 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009. So what happened? Why is this year different?

He has more hotties this year!

10 Wins IMO. Schedule starts off very difficult, but get's easier as the season goes.

However, my first reaction to the schedule was "Well, obviously Stephen Ross asked the NFL for no 1 pm kickoffs in September"

Yes, I get the business standpoint of this. BUT if that Falcons game is a 1pm kickoff instead of 415pm, I think it's a win. The Heat is def a game changer. Mr. Ross just doesn't get this. Sad

0-5 going into the bye week...

Jon, Ross doesnt care about winning.

They will still be in there black jersey's and tho, not as hot as the 1 o'clock games will still be pretty warm. They are coming from Atlanta which is hot also, not Canada. Games are won and lost on the field, not because it was 1000 degrees hot or because there was a nice fall breeze blowing in from the bay!

Ravens just won the super bowl... lmao

Should be noted also that Baltimore and Pittsburgh have taken big steps back (at least on paper). Pitt is old and capped out, Balt lost half of their defense and yes, don't forget about the Superbowl hangover and the fact Flaco just got a huge check and may not be quite as hungry as last year.

how about 7-9 seems to be a popular number with this team

Be back a little later gents....My gross ugly scag just arrived! Time to 'go to work' ;)

Valhalaaaaaaaaa!

Despite all the "Alleged" upgrades we're going to have on the O-Line, I think it's still too early to give up on Big John Jerry.

He's responsible for his own weight and his own play on the field. Having said that though, like a lot of YOUNG Players on our Team, I think he's suffered somewhat from Poor Coaching and Development.

Having said all that, I wanted to repost this from earlier in response to B33:

Jerry has already showed up and according to Cogs is buying in fully with a great attitude... Doesn't sound like the same player as last year at this time.

Posted by: B33RCA53 | April 18, 2013 at 05:33 PM
================================================

That very well could be.

But I suspect it has more to do with Philbin not taking any crap from anyone.

That of course and the fact that Lance Louis wasn't on the team last year.

That's my take anyways!

Posted by: odinseye | April 18, 2013 at 07:48 PM
-------------------------------------------------

Jerry was allowed to get away with his weight ballooning and some other things. But apparently that's in the past.

He's got his weight somewhat under control, has a couple of years under his belt and got some quality experience.

The big thing I think is he's finally receiving some competent coaching and thanks to the staff, has some serious competition to help motivate him along.

All's Fair in Love and War. And us "Vikings", we Love War!!!!

Valhalla!!!!

9-7, maybe 10-6 if we can beat New Orleans.

TFK

I don't know what some of you see, but we'll be very fortunate to win 5 of the 11 games against those above average to elite qb's.

Then 2 against the Jets, 2 Buffalo and 1 Cleveland. We'll have to sweep all 5 of these games to go 11-5 and lose only one of these games to finish 10-6. But 10-6 does feel realistic.

The key to our season will be winning 5 out 11 games against the above avg to elite qb's, and not losing more than 1 game against the 5 game Cleve-Jets-Bills games. This is where we can really get tripped up.

Phillie,

100 Degrees makes a HUGE difference. Look at Miami's record over the past 20 years in September. It's something like a .750 winning percentage. No different than GB winning all those games when they temp is below 25. It makes a huge difference

Monte,

God forbid we start 0-5. May as well fire Ireland bye-week. 0-5 start and no way we make the playoff.

Cant enter bye-week not worse than 3-2 and have a legit shot at the playoffs.

Who Will Run The Ball?

L. Miller
D. Thomas
And E. Lacy After The Draft.

Who Will Block? The Whole O-Line. B. Albert, Incognito, Pouncey, Cooper, J. Martin. With Jerry, Louis, Samunda, Gardner and Yeatman as The Backups.

Who Will Catch Passes Besides Wallace ? The Same 2 From Last Year, Hartline&Bess, Gibson Is A Good NFL WR Who Caught 50 Passes At Least Twice In His Career. Keller Is A Good Pass Catching TE. Better Than Any Thing In This Draft. And Clay Did Catch Some Passes

Polian saying Albert is only an average LT and not worth a 2nd round pick.

He has more hotties this year!

====================================================

Just so EVERYBODY is clear(especially any new Bloggers), Phillie Chirinko has more Fake/Troll sign in names this year as well.

Philly is the same old Troll, same old shyt, etc, etc........

Your Welcome Blog ;)

Hey dolphin fans except for San Diego and maybe the Jets&Bills these games sre no gimmies !! Remember 1 playoff appearance in last 12 years, and if the networks really had serious faith in this team, you wouldn't be playing at Tampa or Cincinnati st home !! You be playing the Steelers Pats Ravens and Falcons on primetime. Sean Peyton is going to be of the focus on him and D.Brees at New Orleans !!

One of the best things about the schedule is that the away games are all short distances -- no west coast trips. The furthest the Fins travel all season is to New England. That's a huge plus.

Be back a little later gents....My old ugly scag just arrived! Time to 'go to work' ;)

Valhalaaaaaaaaa!

Jon,

If its 100 degrees at 1pm it will still be 95 at 4pm. And by the time the sun goes down at 7:30-8pm, it will still be 85-90 plus. Factor in the humidity, with a slight chance of precipitation and the fact is that Phil Ferro or any of those hot lil mama's flaunting there (+)(+) on whatever news station you desire are not going go beat Matt Ryan. Cam Wake and Tannehill are! Games r won or lost on the field, a 5 degree difference in the weather is minimal IMHO.

Just so EVERYONE knows, Nobody believes in odin's fantasies beside kris and dashe.

(Not even odin believes in them)

Odin,

Same name, every time homeboy! Too old with too many responsibilities (wife, kids, life in general) to be wastin time on here like you and YG, strokin each other up while you trash talk each other for hours upon hours!

HOOOOOOLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAA

Polian saying Albert is only an average LT and not worth a 2nd round pick.

Posted by: Hazen | April 18, 2013 at 09:35 PM

=======================================================

Branden Albert is a solid much better than average LT and a change of scenery and better coaching could improve on that.

What Polian said is "A 2nd rd pick is maybe to high but if you think he's a fit you gotta make the deal".

Rick. I was not in favor of trading for Albert but i agree, if u think that for 3, maybe 4 years that Albert can fit your scheme and protect your young investment in Tannehill, a second round pick is peanuts for that kind of peace of mind! Still rather give em a 3 and a 5 (or a 4 next year). Longer we wait, better 4 us, IMO.
