Complete Dolphins schedule right here

The 2013 season is important for the Dolphins.

It's the 40-year anniversary of their last Super Bowl win. It's the year we're supposed to see Ryan Tannehill become a franchise quarterback. It's the year Joe Philbin is supposed to have enough horses to win. It's a make or break year for general manager Jeff Ireland.

And this is how it is going to stack up according to NFL and media sources:

September 8              at Cleveland Browns                    1 pm

September 15            at Indianapolis Colts                     1 pm

September 22            Atlanta Falcons                             4:05 pm

September 30            at New Orleans Saints (Mon)           8:40 pm

October 6                  Baltimore Ravens                           1 pm

October 13                 BYE

October 20                 Buffalo Bills                                   1 pm

October 27                at New England Patriots                  1 pm

October 31                Cincinnati Bengals (Thurs)                8:25 pm

November 11             at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Mon)        8:40p

November 17             San Diego Chargers                            1 pm

November 24             Carolina Panthers                              1 pm

December 1               at New York Jets                                1 pm

December 8              at Pittsburgh Steelers                          1 pm

December 15             New England Patriots                          1 pm

December 22             at Buffalo Bills                                    1 pm

December 29             New York Jets                                     1 pm

Who are these tough temas we play early? I will give Atlanta but NO is mediocre, baltimore is depleted, and Indy we should've beat last year with a worse team.

How is it we play in Indy two years in a row? Seems odd.

Get into many confrontations at games, DC? haha, I almost got thrown over the top of the Ralph once in Buffalo when I was like 20 years old. People are stupid at NFL games and security is nonexistent. Simply not worth messing with inbred retards.

I will be going to the Pitt game with my wife to be's cousin who is a big Steeler fan. Went to NY the week of Hurricane Sandy last year to watch the Steelers play and he was crazy vocal after some bad calls against the Steelers. Crazy fukker has no fear. "I know you guys had a natural disaster here this week but that is no reaason to try to steal this game from us .."

Why is our home game against Atlanta at 4pm??? BOOOOO

I See Alot More People Saying 10-6 , 11-5. Than Last Year.

At Least The Troll Hasn't gone on His 4-12 Rant.

Or Draft Matt Barkley.

Whatever Happened To That Blasphemous Statement?

The Fins Are Moving In The Right Direction. We Just Need To Fix The O-Line And Everything will Be Copacetic.

I think they beat atlanta. Falcons aren't the same on the road.

I can easily see us going 2-3 or 3-2 in opening five games. Don't hate so hard.

I Believe The League Wants To Create A Rivalry Between Luck and T-Hill. They Know A Bunch Of Future AFC Championship Games Will Be Decided By These 2.

We Also Play B. Weeden. I Knew That Guy Was Going To Be A Bust.

I think I'm going to try to make it to the Colts game and maybe the game in Buffalo.

Schedule is tough to be honest. Still, this team is on the rise. I really think they can take the AFC East with a good draft. Looking forward to this year.

I'm sorry. Anyone charged with keeping the cap on the deep defense needs more speed than Vaccaro. You only draft him if you think he is better than Jones. I don't think so.
Clemmons speed makes him worth keeping. It also makes it hard for anyone to beat him out in training camp.

New Orleans Will Be Better Than Atlanta. They Got Their Coach Back. I Know Some Don't Understand The Importance Of Coaching. But The Coach Is The Most Important Person On The Team.

Reason I Believe The Dolphins Are In Better Hands. Philbin has That I Know What The F' I'm Doing Look. He Makes Everyone Around Him Better.

I can't tell who we might beat because I have to see what we get out of the draft

With the team we have right now

I can't see more than 8 or 9 wins.

We need play makers.

Tds win games.

If we get anyone besides Patterson or Austin. We are done until we get more weapons.

LOL Mark. I actually do get into "altercations" from time to time at sporting events. Once got in a shoving match with a group of Redskins fans (but I had some backup with me, and it turned into Redskins vs. Redskins).

Two years ago went to the Giants/Dolphins in NY, wore my jersey, had some playful banter with some of the Giants fans (they weren't as bad).

But I get it, we're getting older. Fighting isn't as fun as it used to be. It's cool, as long as we win, we'll get the last laugh.

I agree with fixing the o-line just not with the first pick.

Dolphins and Falcons are two EAST COAST teams but their Game is at 4PM.....R E A L L Y ?!?!?!?!?

Stephen Ross Apparently has 'requested' this to sell tickets.

What happened to the South Florida Heat Advantage ????

O-linemen d-linemen don't fill seats.

Tds do.

We need to be able to score a T's on every drive.

New England scores tds and we need to keep up.

Read some comments on CNN, this blog and the troll don't really seem that bad anymore...

People are insane.

Justin, New England actually has a very strong o-line and d-line in my opinion. The two lines just can't be ignored imo.

Cooz, Ross deserves the blame for that, I agree. Not sure he made that request this year (and not a couple years ago), but regardless, the NFL is still thinking we don't want 1pm games in Sept/Oct. I don't want to speak for the Season ticket holders, but I'd think they'd put up with the heat if it meant giving an advantage to the team. Sweating is worth a win IMO.

Everybody Knows,

That Is The One Major Improvement I Saw Last Year. The Safeties Didn't Get Burned. Yeah They Got Toasted In Pre Season. But They Played Real Well In The Regular Season. With That Said, I Don't Expect Another 90+ Tackle Season From Neither. More Turnovers? Yes. More Tackles? NO.

We Got Rid Of The Real Problem In Pass Defense. K. Dansby and K. Burnett.

To Many Times The Safety Had To Make The Tackle Because The LB Got Beat. Specially On 3rd Down Or In Crucial Situations Of The Game.

Yes, We Need To Score Some Points But We Also Should Allow Less. I Say About A 4 Point Difference Not Having Dansby Or S. Smith On The Team. From 19.8 to 15.8. Putting The Fins As The #2 Scoring Defense.

How Many Games Did We Lose By 4 Points Or Less? 3 Losses.

And If The Offense Scores More Points? Which It Should.

Fins Game Decided By 7 Points Or Less? 5 Games.

Week 3
Jets 23
Fins 20

Week 4
Fins 21
Cards 24

Week 9
Fins 20
Colts 23

Week 11
Fins 14
Bills 19

Week 13
Pats 23
Fins 16

At Least 5 Winnable Games. The Defense Couldn't Hold. Or The Offense Failed To Score 1 More TD. Last Year We Could've Gone 12-4 With Better LB Play and Better Offense.

Right Now This Looks Like A 9-7 Team. If Philbin and Ireland Get The Draft Right. Fix The Line and Add Overall Depth. Hit On About 5-6 Players. No Reason Not To Look At 13-3 or 12-4 As Possibilities This Season.

Would Love To See The Fins Shutout The Browns To Start The Season. That Is How The Season Should Start.

Dashi, we now know why Childress failed as a head coach. Tannehill at 23 was too raw but Weeden at 28 and not a finished product was worth a first round pick?? Pff. By the time Weeden catches on, his physical skills will be diminished. And that's it Cleveland doesn't give up on him by then.

Everybody knows ... I'm ok with Vaccaro but my favourite safeties are Eric Reid, TJ McDonald, and Shamarko Thomas. Shamarko ran a 4.42 while doing a face plant ... seriously though , flashes unreal atheltic ability and made a lot of plays at Syracuse. more of a SS than FS though but I think he could move over. has the speed and range to do so.

...Dashi..interesting post. In fact since 2010 The phins have lost 16 games that were 1 possession contests. 16! That is a remarkable number. On the other side..The Patriots(I know they get used a nausea, but until they aren't the barometer in our division..They get the props) The Pats have won 14 of these games that were 1 possession contests.

So it just show how close the NFL really is. The difference between respect, and anonymity is a few plays.

And imagine they punting to Austin with 5 minutes left in the game.

He catches it on the 25 and brings it to mid field.

Then we go 3 wide with a lb lined up over him.

Easy 20 yard play.

No huddle.

So again a lb is playing Austin.

Are you guys serious?

He's a match up nightmare.

If you catch a team with the wrong personnel it could be easy tds.

I'm Fixing The O-Line With The First 2 Picks. Maybe Even 3.

2-LG Or T. Armstead
2-RT Or B. Albert

Fix The O-Line For Good.

Cut Incognito And Jerry. I Actually Wouldn't Want B. Albert. I Want To Build Thru The Draft. Get A Rookie LG, RT or LT, and A RG. Let Them Develop Under Pouncey and J. Martin. Let The Coaches Do Their Job.

LT-J. Martin
RT-T. Armstead

This Line Also Gives The Fins Max Cap Flexibility. They Will Only Have About $8m Tied Up To The Line. For The Next 3-4 Years.

Meaning They Can Spend The Money Else Where.

Plus, The O-Line Can Develop With T-Hill.

Spot on Dashi @ 11:32.
The LB's and CB's were our weakness last year and that has been up graded. Looking at a 10-6 season.

That's why we need more weapons.

Marshall couldn't do it alone. And Wallace can't either.

Hartline should be better now than with Marshall.

But you could never have enough players that can make plays with the ball in their hands.

Is it not improvement to "loose" a player that is no longer deemed an asset to the direction the team is taking. Salary, scheme, talent, age, physical ability are all issues to be considered.

its not loose its lose. God that anoys me

Hard schedule no matter where they put each game.

..What happens with Austin in a few years? What happens when he losses his burst? All of them do. How long can he withstand the punishment? And we should use a first round pick on him why?? So next year he can rip off a few big plays?

..Lets take Deshaun Jackson for instance.. Electric player. Awesome. What has happened to him? He has lost his initial burst. So that quickness off the line that allowed him to beat corners is gone..This will happen to Austin. Both aren't big enough to out muscle corners. They aren't big enough to take the beatings. Again back to Jackson. He gets punished. How many games has he missed due to injury from hits?

Austin is not the type of receiver that I would spend a top 15 pick on..Never. I would bet Ireland would say the same. Hopefully he shows this on draft day by passing on Austin.

5-11 in Irescum's 6th year?

Posted by: Mark in Toronto | April 19, 2013 at 11:37 AM

I Agree. That Is Why I Bring Up The Point Of Drafting Underclassmen.

If Ireland Has to Chose Between 2 Players and 1 Was 1-2 Years Younger. Would He? Because Of Potential?

Reason He Drafted 2-21 year old, Last Year. L. Miller and O. Vernon Would've Been First Rounders This Season.

If You Are Going To Take A Chance On A Guy In The Mid Rounds. Why Not Make Sure He Is 1-2 Years Younger. More Potential If You Ask Me.

But What Do I Know?

I Come From A Country Where 17 Is To Old To Sign. The MLB Likes Them Young.

If I Were To Draft Players I Would Only Look At 20-22 Year Old. With The Occasional 23-24 yr Old. But The Guy Has To Be Pro Ready Then. I WILL NEVER DRAFT ANYBODY OVER 25!! That Is Not Drafting You Are Signing A Free Agent.

So the online is going to give us more than 17 points a game? I think not.

We failed to get yards after the catch.

We dependent on field goals for points.

Our lines were OK but nobody was making plays.

I'm No Expert. But Even The Experts Know It Would Be Asinine For The Fins To Pick A TE Or T. Austin At #12.

Read Barry Jackson.

The Fins Already Plan To Go 4 Wide. Thank You For Realizing That Only Would Happen With T. Austin On The Field.

The Fins Can Get A Player Of Equal Value In The 3rd. He Is Called S. Bailey. Why Get T. Austin At #12?

When They Eliminate The 5 Of The 11 Players On Offense From The Line. Then Not Having An O-Line Will Be Important. Til Then It Is The Basis Of American Football.

Not Arena Football.

Real Football.

But now on the other end.

Steve Smith is that size and has been a monster his whole career.

Sometimes its one way or the other.

However it goes for the line ad well.

Long was going to be our Lt

Thanks Dashi. This has been my point of view since day 1.

He not only didn't make it 10 years he started breaking down after 3.

A few of you still seem to be "surprised" by the schedule every year. It's literally as if you have absolutely no idea whatsoever that the schedule is PREDETERMIED in advance based on the NFL's rotational system

You could have looked up the Dolphins 2013 schedule 10 years ago. Want to know who we're playing in 2041? Look it up.

A few of you are seriously clueless.

Yeah Dashi, I do like the idea of drafting young maybe unproven very athletic guys in the mid rounds. Roll the dice, you may come up big instead of taking some guy that is what he is and has no chance of improving. Sometimes you get Clyde Gates but sometimes you get Lamar Miller. Well worth it if one of your two 4th rounders becomes a year 2 starter.

Lots of empty seats to start the year after the poor start.

...Dashi..I still am going to call you on how much the Phins plan on going 4 wide. I just don't think we will see as much of it as you do. Philbin said it in his press conference. And Shermans offenses have never been 4 wide heavy..Go look.

Even Luke Joekel mentioned Sherman yesterday. He said the reason he went to A&M was to play with his hand in the dirt. That it was because of the type of offense Mike Sherman ran..This changed last year with the new system that A&M ran...Where they did go to a lot of 3-4 wide sets. That they hardly ever played with their hands in the ground..They were always up ready to pass block..Again..In Mike Shermans offense they played woth their hands in the ground. The ran 2 tight end set as their base..This was from Joekel right from his mouth.

I think that we may evolve in to some 4 wide sets. Of course. I think we will see some situationaly. But it sounds like you believe this formation is going to be the bread and butter formation..No way.

....JUSTIN @12:07..Good point.

September 8 at Cleveland Browns 1 pm 35-14 win 12-4 season
September 15 at Indianapolis Colts 1 pm 28-24 win
September 22 Atlanta Falcons 4:05 pm 28-17 win
September 30 at New Orleans Saints (Mon) 8:40 pm 24-27 loss

Lots of "experts" chime in

Tough schedule, but if you want to be a good team, then you have to beat the good teams. Why complain! All you are doing is hoping for an easy schedule just to be embarrased in the playoffs. The good teams will endure a tough schedule and then be better prepared for the playoffs if and when the time comes. I am looking forward to seeing how the team does against NO, Ravens, Steelers, and Falcons.

I've Come Down From My Stance. We Need At Least 5 Good Wr's. Right Now We Have 4, With R. Matthews As A Possible 5th WR. He Could Develop Into A Red Zone Threat. He Has A. Boldin Type Skill. Real Physical WR.

Now I Can See Keller, Egnew Or Clay, Line Up Wide. I Can See M. Thigpen Play The Slot More. But All Those Are Coaches Decision.

And T-Hill Ran A Spread/Spread Option At Texas A&M. Sherman Has All The Plays. We Still Haven't Seen What This Offense Can Truly Do. We Know What It Is Capable Of Doing. I Believe Sherman Will Open Up Half The Play book The First Part Of The Season. And The Other Half The 2nd Part Of The Season.

I Don't Even Want To See The Fins Run The Ball In The Preseason. 75 Passes A Game. 30 T-Hill, 30 M. Moore, 15 Devlin.

Get The Wr's Some Work.

Good post dolfnman, hit the nail on the head. We will deserve to be in the playoffs, not because we backed in with an easy schedule.

Clyde gates was 24 when he got drafted.

Clyde Gates Is Older Than B. Hartline.

Clyde Gates Is Older Than M. Wallace.

C. Gates and D. Thomas was The Last Time Ireland Let Sporano Have Any Say On Who To Draft.

Brandon Marshall for Michael Egnew?? WTF?

...Dashi.. We have all put names of guys we would like to see the Phins take in this draft. I know that a few of you have been on the Stedman Bailey wagon. I would certainly be fine with him. The guy I would like to see. That I think would bring that Anquan Boldin type of receiver is Marshall Wr. Aaron Dobson. IMO he has Ireland prototype written all over him.

If you have the time, or feel like it. Check out some of the catches Dobson made. He has incredible hands. He is Big bodied. And has better then average speed. I'm surprised he is just a third round prospect...IMO my favorite receiver in the group after Clemson WR. Hopkins

Dashi stop your lying. Ireland drafted Clyde Gates and D Thomas.

Dashi makes up stuff to support his delusional agenda. LMAO!!

When Ireland squandered 3 picks for D Thomas the draft room broke out in hysterical laughter!!

..I think the game that is the go to game has to be the Monday nighter in NO. Saints games at the Dome are insane. Spend a weekend in the Big Easy. Chill at the Hotel Monteleone. Check out the Phins on Monday night. It would be epic.

It was Sparano that drafted Pouncey.

Dashi, Clyde Gates was drafteed on his measurables and 24 is young. About as old as you want to draft someone though.

To me the big dominant receiver in this draft is Da'Rick Rogers. Can't we please burn a 3rd pick on this guy? He may very well falke out but man those God given size and athelticism is just unwordly.

Hey Mark sorry bout them Leafs last night. Isles are only 2 points behind your boys now, better pick up the pace!

The schedule will likely influence our picks a bit. Ireland is likely out if they turn a losing season. That will likely lead to Philbin out as well. They need to win THIS YEAR.

Turning to the schedule:

Biggest issue....have to stop the passing game.

QB's facing the Fins this year: Brady (twice), Brees, Newton, Flaco, Luck, Dalton, Rivers, Rothlesberger, and Matty Ice. That is 10 games facing pretty tough QB play (in some cases elite QB play).

Some will argue tht Newton, Dalton, Flaco, and Luck are not elite QB's. Maybe but they can light up a scoreboard pretty quck.

Will our DE's, CB's and S's stop them? Really?

Dashi stop your lying. Ireland drafted Clyde Gates and D Thomas.

Why are you such a pathetic loser? That's all I want to know.

"That's why Starks is skipping the team's voluntary workouts as a message to the team."

He wants to stay in Miami but this isn't really helping. He had better hope they don't draft Star.
