The status of four injured starters

CLEVELAND -- Although Dolphins coach Joe Philbin said quarterback Ryan Tannehill will play with the starting unit in Sunday evening's Hall of Fame game, the status of at least four starters is highly questionable to the point you shouldn't expect to see them.

Defensive tackle Jared Odrick (groin), defensive tackle Randy Starks (knee), receiver Mike Wallace (groin) and receiver Brian Hartline (calf) are not likely to play.

None are expected to miss significant time going forward, but because all missed practice the past few days and are still trying to reach 100 percent health, it seems to make little sense to play any of them.

Hartline, who is the closest to health in the group, wants to play because the game is in his native Ohio. But a source close to Hartline said it nonetheless makes little sense to risk an aggravation of the calf muscle in exchange for a couple of series of action in an otherwise meaningless preseason game.

Of the four, it is certain neither Odrick nor Starks will play. Although they are in the midst of a competition for a starting defensive end job and both have much to prove this season -- Starks because he'll be unsigned for 2014 and Odrick because he's being moved from DE to DT -- the competition was derailed temporarily this week when Starks first and then Odrick got hurt.

Odrick is day to day with the groin. Starks may be out a bit longer but a club source confirmed his injury is not considered worrisome.

Just cause your people don't think a lot of things are gay doesn't mean my people think the same way.

Sodomy is OK where you are from. Not on my Island.

The Pct. Of Gay Dominicans or Haitians is Lower than that of any Other Island in the Caribbean. Every Race has F'gs. We just have way less than you do.

Raping little Boys isn't prevalent in our Communities.

And, we may find out about the most boring competition in Training Camp...

Sturgis versus Carpenter!
(also known as Fish-boy versus the Construction worker from the Village People).

Hmm...maybe I should have said, "Caviar-boy".

You know being Gay was OK for you growing up.

Just look at what you like talking about. "In-ur-ass".

And you are constantly hitting on the Dashi.

Your Dad probably use to wear dresses around the House, growing up.

You use to ask for Barbies instead of G.I. Joes.

Had the Little Pink Corvette Power Wheel. With the Barbie Sunglasses to match.

The uneducated and the backard cave men still think badly of gays.

Okay, Dashi is done here with us.
Look for some of his weak posts here shortly.

Tracy,

If the Competition is a Fair one. And Carpenter actually trained this Off season. Carpenter has it.

I was expecting more from Sturgis.

But Agreed that is a competition worth watching.

Hey, I've got a question for all of you football gurus...

Back in the 80's (I believe) there was a quarterback named Tannehill that played for South Carolina. Is Ryan any relation? I haven't been able to find out. Just curious...

Dashi,

Why so defensive? Three long posts to respond to one tiny comment?

Doth thou protest too much.

Like I said It was OK being Gay for You.

I respect Gay people like the next person. I just Don't Accept it. You guys should keep that Gaychit at Home. I have no issues with Gay people that act Normal. I have a Problem with The Flamboyant types like you. That dress as Fairies even though it isn't Halloween.

My eyes were opened and I was educated about you F'gs at an Early Age. Some of you can't help it, you are born that way. Others, like you, Love acting Gay.

Has Ireland been fired yet?

WHERE IS OSCAR CANOLA?

I purchased tree lemons and one mamey fruit and one bag of walnuts and 14 seedless grapes and one jar of mango chutney and two red peppers and five roma tomatoes and one jar of Hellmann's Mayonnaise and one container of garlic hummus and 11 cherrystone clams and one veal cutlet and two boxes of Uncle Ben's rice and one half pound of baked Virginia ham and three whole nutmegs and one Cornish Hen and four deli pickles and one jar of Kimchee and two Heath bars and one bottle of Canada Dry diet cranberry ginger ale and one six pack of Negro Modelo and one bag of pistachios and two nectarines.

THESE WERE ALL PURCHASED FOR HIM!!

And I know my Gay joke about you hurt you yesterday. You have been crying about it, and are scared to put it up because you know everyone will just Laugh at you again.

I was just talking about your preference in Horses.

People who obsess over gay themes and issues usually fall into one of three categories:

Stupid, elderly, or repressed Closet Queen.

Nevermind,
I just found the answer to my question...

The kid was Steve Taneyhill from Altoona, PA and played for the Gamecocks from 92-95.

Apparently, no relation at all, just something that I had stuck in my head...

Sorry for the interruption...

Dashi

No worries. I don't think naming yourself after fermented seaweed broth is gay at all.

Not a bit.

Seaweed broth is very masculine. Those Japanese dudes are BUFFED!

Stupid, elderly, or repressed Closet Queen.

The first and the last option there.

And Dashi can Suck and Swallow with the best of them.

So you are A Dumb Old Closet Queen which is Afraid to come out. Your Words not mine.

That likes to Rides on Top of Unicorns. Almost Forgot.

And Dashi can Suck and Swallow with the best of them.

dashi is nothing without odin. zero. nada. He is even talking like odin now, he chose odin as a role model!

How sad is that?

Posted by: Rope | August 03, 2013 at 11:29 PM

====

dashi is odin the best role model you can think of?

dude, get a life!

Or go back to DR and find a scag to fry your plaintains.

dashi is now talking like buddy odin??? Rainbow room?

That kid is searching for identity IN ALL THE WRONG PLACES!

Posted by: LMFAO!!!!! | August 04, 2013 at 12:22 AM

The worst is when those gay people move into a neighborhood and drive property values up with their big incomes, stable lives, and high degrees of education.

I even saw one of them park his Mercedes and walk uneventfully into his well-kept home with a bag full of groceries from Whole Foods and would you believe HE DIDN'T EVEN OFFER ANY APOLOGY FOR HIS LIFESTYLE?!?

The wife and I are going to have to move to Idaho at this rate. Or maybe Saudi Arabia.

Good morning gang,Odin on the blog early(Must have been a boring nite ) Who's ready for some Air-breathing aquatic action??????

Starks and Odrick shouldn't make much difference. I wouldn't have played them much if any anyways.

It will give us a chance to see a lot of Vaughn Martin, Kheeston Randall and Derrick Shelby.

I wouldn't play Wake at all. That of course means a LOT of Vernon and Jordan!

I'm really starting to Love what Philbin has orchestrated here.

Key players to watch for me:

Jonathon Martin.

Jonathon Martin.

Jonathon Martin.

Oh yeah, and Jonathon Martin!

Posted by: odinseye | August 04, 2013 at 12:40 PM

I was feeling the same way here but want to see alot of V.Martin tonight also want to see plenty of the rookie CB's and expect to see them get as much as a half of work. J.Martin will play the same amount of time as D.Ware, PERIOD!

I know the argument about him needing the work ect....

He gets plenty in Camp and there is no real back up plan should he sustain injury outside of waiting for Jerry to get back and claim the spot (he's played there for us and always wondered why he NEVER got more work at RT FRANKLY!)

The facts are players (especially OL) get hurt when thrown into game situations with different QB's (timing and rythm changes) aside from no cohesiveness with alternating players on the line, thanks but NO THANKS! Seen it happen to mny times to OL.

Your Infatuation with Dashi is Astonishing.

Doesn't Matter what Time of The Day. You just want to talk Dashi.

Dashi
Dashi
Dashi

How Old are you to be acting so Childish?

Football Starts TODAY!!

Give it a Break you Old Senile Hoot.

Dashi refuses to tell us what his job is, what he does for a living. He does not respond. He is still debating what fantasy story to make up.

This means he makes a pittance doing a menial job that any bongo can do.

How impressive.

Dashi, you left the "t" off the end of your name.

F4L
Will You be Watching the game 2nite????
And if so, will you be hosting a Party??
We will at "La Casa Da Pineapples"
Plenty of cold beers and cooking a whole pig right this very minute....

So you are one of the Quiet F'ggots.

What part of the word "FLAMBOYANT" didn't you understand?

I've had and probably have Gay neighbors in my Neighborhood. For a long while. But like I said they are the Quiet Types. They Don't wave their Flag on the Front Yard like You.

Now your need to be Accepted is Amazing.

Who cares you are Gay. Now move on with your life.

You sound like One of them FFs that think because other people aren't gay that it is a problem.

You are part of this new Generation of F-A-G. That wants to Scold Straight people because they are not Gay. And don't Accept the Gay stuff you do.

You know what would be HILARIOUS?

Seeing a picture of dashe and odin watching the game together!!!!!!

Hey. some people wanna be like Mike.

Dashe want's to be like odin.

So be it.

I was expecting more from Sturgis.

But Agreed that is a competition worth watching.

Posted by: Dashi- | August 04, 2013 at 01:17 PM

Quite frankly I think the fact Carpenter,Fields and long snapper Denney have stuck together in a little click ignoring Sturgis all together has gotten in the kids head a little. There probably isn't a more IGNORE & LONELY player in this Camp! During Pos. drills he's ignored and the guy whose grill Rizzi needs to get into is Long snapper Denney's. Who needs to give the kid the same attention and help given there's as much timing in the snap & hold in the kicking game as there is in any Pos. even if players don't respect the Pos. till the game result hangs on a last second (tick, tick, TICK!) Kick. Fact is this little click amongst the incumbents only hurts Carpenter given Philbin's great dislike of anything NOT about team 1st!

fin4life

Not sure I agree with that. This little click thing gives Philbin a chance to see what Sturgis is made up of. How tough is his mind, how resilient is he to adversity and distractions.

Dashi, Why "FEED" the trolls?????
Ignore and they'll go back to there Facebook page....
Just saying....

I think Carpenter is winning the battle. I'm not sure you chuck a kicker after one off season after many good ones. This Sturgis could be a wasted 5th round pick.

One advantage Sturgis has is a weird name. Caleb? It's a weird job and people with weird names have dealt with weirdness their whole life. Look at our great kickers, Uwe Von Schuamann, Garo Yepremian....weirdos for sure.

Plenty of cold beers and cooking a whole pig right this very minute....

Unforunately NO fiesta! The Queen at CASA DE FIN4 has to approve given she knows it turns into me and the Boys drunk screaming at a TV! If she can make it a swing digg with lots of her friends and kids running around it's all good but that ends up denting my pocket and this game isn't worth it! That right is reserved for the Div. games lately early given we've been out of contention by Mid-Nov. for a few but hoping to have UNA FIESTA in Dec. with PLAYOFFS on the line Vs. Jets or Pats!

Uwe, Garo, Caleb...sounds like a law firm from Pakistan.

Odin,
You can call me Mr. Gay if you like. But I will always respond with what fans around the league already know..."I'd be gay if I were a Dolphins fan wearing a gay logo."

My post wasn't tough. I enjoy being the barer of objectivity.

Thus far I've only posted about a half dozen things, and my only one liner was, "Tell Warren Sapp to pay his creditors." However in the future I'll try to post more one liners so you can keep up better.

Retarded ? Retarded is the person who uses propaganda terms such as "True Fan." Or a person who likes the Dolphins homosexual friendly new logo.

"Hartline was just off his rookie season when he played with Marshall."

Not in 2011, that was his third year of mediocrity. You don't even have your facts straight lmao. He played better "off" his rookie year than he did in his third year.

2010 43 receptions 615 yards and a season changing ONE TD !!! (Since when is 43 receptions "respectable" lmao, you must think it's still 1981)

2011 35 receptions 549 yards and another scorching ONE TD !!! (He was healthy all year btw, no td's in his last fifteen starts).

All of this against single coverages opposite Brandon Marshall. Yet according to you he's going to be unstoppable lol. His skin color is going to go from white to black. His two left feet magically coordinated. No more great white hope. He's white...he's limited.

There is no upside with him anywhere but in your fantasies...along with Jeff Ireland's. His season last year was not acceptable by a #1 WR because he's not a #1 WR...OR A #2. He will not be targeted as much this year. His numbers will decline. You're an idiot.

Your excuses for him in 2011 are priceless. They show how utterly clueless you are. Daboll's offense began clicking in the K.C. game that year...and the team finished 6-3 (that's a number that is respectable). You'd have to go back to the end of 2005 when the Dolphins finished the season 6-0 and Scott Linehan's offense was rolling with Gus Frerotte in order to find the type of offensive production that the Dolphins were getting during the second half of the 2011 season. Reggie Bush got his first and only 1000 yard season because the Dolphins were throwing the ball so well this opened up running lanes for him to make big plays. Your excuses for Hartline are almost as pathetic as your logic. Try harder next time d-bag. Btw, the offense under Todd Bowles kept clicking same as it had been under Sparano. Phins were 2-1 under Bowles...up 17-0 in their only loss on the road to the eventual AFC Champion Patriots (last year, "promising" Tannehill didn't muster a point up there).

DUH LET ME GUESS YOU FORGOT ALL THAT TOO...DUNCE.

2012 What do you know lmao ! Ireland is incompetent, so after 4th WR Hartline's failures as a #2, he promoted him to #1 where Hartline often disappeared for 2-3 games at a time because he couldn't get open against double coverage and at times against single coverage as well. He posted a game with zero receptions. Another game with one reception. Three games with only two and another scorcher with three receptions. Top notch work from a #1. All of this while being targeted as the #1 WR. His only big game in his career was the one against the Cardinals when he racked up big yardage against zone coverages. I already mentioned this, but you're obviously stuck on stupid.

I expounded upon your "facts" and made them irrelevant. You've posted nothing but excuses born of wishful thinking and delusions...and you've embarrassed yourself.

I will be here all season long laughing at you and the Dolphins.

I agree if the kid can say FOCK the clique I'm winning this competition. I'll respect him more and it shows his toughness

F4L...
LOL, I hear you........
Tough to have a good time when going to bed on the couch is the result......

That's it Clue. Those other players aren't really doing anything wrong. Competition and clique crap exists every where in all professions. You either sink or swim. This is the big leagues, not the boy scouts.

fin4life

Not sure I agree with that. This little click thing gives Philbin a chance to see what Sturgis is made up of. How tough is his mind, how resilient is he to adversity and distractions.

Posted by: Fo Sho | August 04, 2013 at 01:52 PM

In honesty expected this post from somebody and get it and that's why I posted my reasons regarding Denney's role in this. There should be a level playing field in the competition and the fact we haven't heard this even mentioned probably has to do with your point but "IF" we go with Sturgis do you want him working on his rythm with the snapper and holder week-1 of the Reg. Seaason? If they really plan on replacing Carpenter somebody has to get in Fields and Denney's grills about working with this kid given their the snapper and holders respectively!

Deflect all you want.

What do you want me to be today.

Yesterday, I Swept the Japanese Restaurant. Today, I Mop the BK by your House.

So you are making fun of me for being Poor?

Or are you making fun of me for being undereducated?

So you like to make fun of Poor People? Or you like to make fun of People who are dumber than you?

While we at it. Dashi has No car and uses Public transportation.

Now, if that is a reason to make fun of someone. When you yourself work for someone else. And aren't swimming in 7 Figures. Shows a lot about your Character.

Some of the Most Humble People I have ever Met are some of the Most Poor.

A Poor person is more than Likely to give you the Shirt off his Back even though he won't have another one. Than Most rich People.

What made Buddha and Jesus Great was that they didn't look at the Material things of a Person but at their Spiritual Wealth. That is what God looks at. That is what Dashi looks at.

I'm that guy who will buy a Plate of Food and give it to a Bum. Or give him $5 to $10 when I see a person in need. Even if they are a Junky. You never know what led them to where they are at. I've heard stories of people losing it all. Or a mental illness so strong that it destroyed their life. Or of a Soldier who came back with issues and everyone disowned him. I thank god I'm Bless and Help those in Need when I can.

But keep showing how your True Colors. You Self-Centered F-A-G.

fin4life

Philbin and Sherman and Rizzi have been through enough training camps to know what is the normal transition with these things. I'm sure they know when it's crunch time. I'll trust they will manage the situation correctly.

Dashi, most gay people have a lot of money and are well educated so I doubt you'll have to deal with them very often except when you are cutting their grass or changing the oil in their expensive cars.

Otherwise, they probably don't want to associate with people of your lower class and limited intelligence.

Lmao...Hartline had 10 receptions spread across 6 games in 2012. Sign that guy to a 12 million dollar deal. The Dolphins have been and will continue to be a losing team as long as Ireland and this type of logic are a part of the Dolphins football operations. Hartline doesn't even make some NFL rosters (Niners among others). He's a #4 on quite a few teams, but Ireland sees the guy as a #2 (three years) and a #1 (last year). A #2 should be able to take a 7 yard out and turn it into a 50 yard play. Receivers in the WCO are expected to be able to do this as well. Among other things, Hartline cannot do this. Ireland drafted Hartline, he's one of only a small number of players who haven't been a complete bust for the guy, so he's put the rose colored glasses on for him. The obsession with Dallas' waiver wire players is born of the same thinking etc... Favoritism reflects incompetent management in any area of the work world. The Dolphins will never be a consistent winning team as long as Ireland is making the decisions. Phins are garbage.

While we at it. Dashi has No car and uses Public transportation.

But keep showing how your True Colors. You Self-Centered F-A-G.

Posted by: Dashi- | August 04, 2013 at 02:10 PM

So let me get this straight, only a few months back you were ridiculing someone by saying they probably drive a red honda, yet you don't even have a car?

And at the same time you are saying people shouldn't be criticized for being poor, while you are slamming gays?

Dude you are really far gone. I'd say you need help but I'm not sure modern psychiatry has advanced enough to help you.

You are pathetic on all levels.

If Lil aloco were here he'd say this guy is a shoe-in for the gang of defeat......

In all seriousness, this dashi is one very immature individual. Not that it is any surprise judging by the way he writes, but he has confirmed it beyond doubt at this point. What a whack head. And he thinks he is smart? He sure doesn't have any results to show for it.

Nuff said.

Real Kickers can Kick under any condition.

I agree with that The 3 guys hanging together hurts Carp more than it helps.

Now Sturgis. Needs to do his Job. But I've Seen him miss some Clutch Kicks in College. It isn't like the Kid was a Beast In College.

Carpenter was a Beast coming out. Making 60+ Yard Kicks.

I believe Carpenter was just use to playing for Spo and Came to camp in bad shape last Season. Carp missed a lot of kicks early. But he was on Fire by the end of the season.

Carpenter along with everyone else has realized Philbin holds everyone to a higher standard than Spo. So they have to come to play from Day 1.

Uwe Von Schuamann, Garo Yepremian....weirdos for sure.

Posted by: Fo Sho | August 04, 2013 at 01:58 PM

Uwe? Really! Your either to young or read about him. Uwe missed 2 FG's inside 45 yards Vs. S.D. in the 1981 Playoffs after loss (HEARTBREAKING given monster comeback) there wasn't a person walking out of the OB that didn't want to string Von Shawmen up from a pole!

He missed one at Regulation and the other in the Double O.T. game which I hapened to be at! The Chargers Rolf Benirschke (wierd name and also hosted Wheel of Fortune for a few Yrs. which some forget) didn't miss his. To this day the credit for that win goes to Winslow and his game for the ages but again was there and saw the replay's plenty! Von Shamman didn't get enough ark in the kicks straight line like he was trying from 55 (a problem through career because of weak leg) Winslow's play non-withstanding!

I by the way ( parents were life long season ticket holders) was there in Marino's very ist start Vs. the Bills were Uwe missed another 40 to 42 yd. kick to win at the end as well going into the open endzone at the OB. Replacement Fuad Reveiz wasn't that much better missing a kick which hurt in 85 AFC Champ. game Vs. Pats were his misses help set a flat tone. You may remember this given after a miss Pats LB Don Blackmon asked Reveiz if he had smoked som pot before game were Reveiz smacked him pretty good on the field, again was there for it all!

Is there anything better than getting hammered on gin and watching porno on the computer?

God, I love it.

Ah, Mr. Gay, I can see my facts actually got too you.

Funny too, because YOUR FACTS were wrong my good Boy.

I said 2010, you know, that was Hartlines First year with Marshall. Hartlines second season-PERIODIO!

His numbers were off in 2011?

Well Gee Me. Gay, the whole team was off. Remember Henne and Moore leading us to 7 straight losses?

Remember Henne having to install Daboll's new offense in the strike shortened off season?

Remember our Lame Duck Head Coach getting fired IN-Season and being replaced by Todd Bowles. Yes, Todd Bowles.

Like I said Pun-ta, Hartline busted out with 74 catches for 1083 his FIRST year away from SpAzano's Dolphin's. His first year with Tannehill, Sherman and Philbin.

Listen up Mr. Gay, THESE are the FACTS. And all the ignorant blubbering you do ain't going to change them one iota.

U Get That....?

Here in the land of opportunity, smart people rise, while others basically sink go nowhere.

Do you think the smartest people or the dumbest people are running companies like Google, Apple, Intel, Amazon? Well many of them came from abroad too, many of them came here poor too.

They had smarts though and that is what got them where they are now. I'll bet some of them even drive red Honda's.

Ok, I'm no expert on Uwe, I was just having fun with their names.

Menance,

Dashi and the "circles-jerkers" have gone totally nuts in infactuation with me. However, Dashi/Odin has gone totally over the edge.

Many think I'm all of the screen names coming after or disagreeing with them. Just a shame their "fragile egos" can only interpret it has one poster, YG. They can not even comprehend it's nearly impossible for only 1 person to create so much havoc and still even have a smidgen of real life.

Doesn't bother me though, if they want to give me all of the credit or blame for this, then sobeit. For me its "whatever", because fools never change.

But as well I'm not worried about the coaches handling the kicking competition. Do teams ever keep two kickers? It would be a shame to have wasted a 5th round pick.

Great tune-up test for both teams tonite. Fins are coming off a 7-92012 campaign, and Cowboys 8-8. Both are looking to see if it looks 2013 changes thing or remains the same. Neither are expecting to see that things have gotten even worse.

Mr. Gay says the Dolphins are garbage.

In the same post he says he's going to be here all season.

Hmmmmmmmmm..........Trailer Park Trash, trying to pose as SOMEBODY BIG on a sports Blog. ROTFLMAO!

Your OWN comments expose you as the REAL garbage around here.

Be Gone Troll-LOL!
