Dolphins beat Colts, 24-20 to stay unbeaten

INDIANAPOLIS -- This is what fine teams do. This is how good teams close.

The Dolphins and Colts engaged in an wildly entertaining and close game. And it came down to the final minute. And the Dolphins emerged victorious, 24-20, to improve their record to 2-0.

Feels good, right?

The Dolphins did it on the road. They did it in keeping Andrew Luck from authoring one of his trademark comebacks.

They did it throwing the ball to Mike Wallace and Charles Clay and showing just enough of a running game to make the offense balanced.

Sturgis > Carpenter by a country mile.

Sturgis is a weapon. Great pick by Ireland to replace Dan.

Oh and one more thing, Obama is still President you teabagging morons!!

And he got his ass kicked by Vladimir Putin over Syria.
Bhahahaha!!

HEARTS BUMPIN' WILDLY ALL THE GAME WITHOUT RESPITE.

BEST DUEL OF THE WEEKEND I SAY :)

Props as well to Clay today. Has at least for this week eased the sting of Keller's absence. Think it was a career day for him.

Wow..Soliai out for season?....Holy krap!!! That's a bummer....

How about the game by Clay. He got me 26 fantasy points.

Soliai is fine.

He already stated his knee is healed.

Trolling morons

Tannehill was 23 of 34 passes for 319 yards, a touchdown and a 107.4 quarterback rating.

Luck was 25 of 43 for 321 yards, a TD, an interception and a 79.7 rating.

Not bad for a kid who played only 1 year in college as a starting QB. Not bad for a kid who 'sucks' and has 'accuracy problems.' Not bad for a 'bust.'

THILL is the real deal!!!!

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly 25m

Paul Soliai said he's fine after the knee injury.

Okay...someone who KNOWS please tell us if Soliai is okay or not.....

Miami "D" should've had Luck sacked number of times. Someone gotta teach them guys how to finish! What's up with Dion Jordan....he afraid to tackle and slam a QB to the ground?!?!?!

=======================================================

Well said!

Great win because we can auto-classify ourselves now as a good Team equal or better to what Indy is now and was last year.

Hey moron, last i checked Romney got his sorry Moron, err Mormon, behind kicked last year. Still crying about it, wingnut?

Voter fraud.

So some puussy troll who plays with little boys at the bus stop uses my name to talk about Obama. I talk football on a football blog puussy. To scared to use your own name?? Go hang yourself off the bridge and do the World a favor.

2 afc road wins to begin season. hugeeeeeeee

One of the goals was to get 2 or 3 wins in the first 5 games. We are in really good shape now. 2 of the next 3 at home. If we can hold serve at home we can be 4-1 with the worst part of our schedule done. If we can stay healthy and take care of business I look for great things from the fins this year.

I completely agree. We all knew going into the year that if this team could be 2-3 or 3-2 at the bye-week they would be in a good spot.

Now we have the following tough games to play.

In Miami against Atlanta - put up huge passing numbers today but horrible running game today.
In New Orleans - Looked good last week but we may see them come back to earth today.
In Miami against Baltimore - just barely beat Cleveland today and their D looks horrible.

They should be in all these games.

Craig M is 1000% correct!! Fire Ross, Monte, Walt, all the same TROLLS who have never ever been Dolphin fans. They are J E T S Trolls who have nothing better to do but play with themselves all day. FINS ARE BACK!!

Let me tell you fools something, I don't want to hear anything about Playoffs ok? We need to set our sights higher. I'm talking SUPERBOWL BEETCHES!!!!

a win is a win but..."COME ON MAN"
the #3 COME ON MAN is courtesy of a bystanding TYSON CLABO who did simply NOTHING when colts defensive end waltzed right by him to maul tannehill.
the #2 COME ON MAN is courtesy of BRENT GRIMES who really took the offseason theme of "more turn" overs to heart by forgetting that simply knocking the ball down yields similar results in critical situations(the t.y. deep conversion)
(get ready) the #1 COME ON MAN comes courtesy of none other then our #3 overall pick in this years draft DION JORDAN...with the clock and game slipping away in the fourth quarter, DION JORDAN was WELL within reach to put his money where his mouth was and deliver a demoralizing monster game changing sack, but all dion jordan did was LIGHTLY push the oversized QB who then scrambled for a key first down..COME ON MAN!!!
p.s. with being the 3rd overall pick in this years draft, and then to totaly forget what your job is at such a critical time this play is EASILY monday night's #1 "COME ON MAN"

SOLIAI IS FINE

READ OMAR KELLYS TWITTER YOU IDIOTS

The 'tea baggin morons' are not on this blog making complete fools of themselves. Just sayin.
Go phins! Awesome win. 2 and Ohhh!

People here get pissed on lost bets in LV and Fantasy then take it out on other posters. We know.

...any definitive word on Soliai? I didn't hear the announcers say anything , then I read here he is out for the season. If a blogger doesn't know, or worse, is fabricating, that person should say nothing....to do otherwise is utter stupidity....

..what's that ...they are just like children.....really?

REGGIE BUSH IS DONE

KNEE JUST GOT BLOWN UP

budtki, tell me how Tannehill had the worst QBR rating of any QB this week. If you don't love the Dolphins right about now, then you should f*cking off yourselves.

Wrong again 2 twat how shocking...
lol
lol
lol
derp derp
lol
lol
you're such a joke

Omar Kelly ‏@OmarKelly 35m

YOU ALL ARE RETARDS.

LIKE JEFFY IRELAND!!!!!!!

For sure, BobbyD? Damn it!! That is not good.....

Patterson didn't even play today. Awful about Solial.

Crap.

Youre right.

SOLIAI IS CONFIRMED OUT FOR THE YEAR.

JUST SAW MRI REPORT

No tweets from Mando or Omar re Solial out that I see.

DERRICK SHELBY ALSO REPORTEDLY WITH A TRICEP TEAR.

OUT 8-10 WEEKS.

D-LINE IS CRUMBLING

This is better then most of us hoped for! No penalties and only 1 turnover! That's called not losing!

This isn't the day to talk about our shortcomings but a day to enjoy.

Isn't it terrible to be a Jets' fan these days! I'm feeling a little sorry for them! I'll do all I can to start looking at the draft projections for next April's draft. They need all the help they can get so I feel the obligations to help those who can't take care of themselves.

Well...it was a total team effort...we can feel good about the 2-0 record...definitely would have blown the lead if it was last year's squad....

GO FINS!!! BEAT ATLANTA!!!

MICHAEL EGNEW ALSO GOT HURT PICKING HIS NOSE!

THE INJURIES ARE PILING ON!!!

Great start

Who are you trolls who "saw the MRI report"?

Ghouls.

Thank god for our defense. We gave them 2 unnecessary chances at the end. Great win. But far from good enough. We had the chance to seal the game with near 5 minutes to go and they got 2 more chances to win. Says something about our defense for sure that we were able to stop Luck TWICE where other teams usually can't. But our offense should have won this one. Need more work. Please don't get big heads and let guard down next week!!!!

Dave in Davie, Whether he was or not is irrelevant you moron. You don't talk about a man's child when he's dead. You try to insult a man and all you can do is talk about he dead son, you're an idiot and a moron.

Why wasn't Luck flagged for intentional grounding late in the game? Twice on the Colts last drive he was wrapped up and on the way to the ground and he just blindly heaved the ball with both hands towards the line of scrimmage and no flag either time.

The Fins Suck Phins suck huh, you might want to change your name.

MRI CONFIRMS SOLIAI WITH RIGHT ACL TEAR, MCL TOO.

DERRICK SHELBY WITH FEARED TORN TRICEP, LEFT SIDE.

KOA MISI WITH A FEARED SEVERELY SPRAINED ANKLE.

Yes, Spud...FANTASTIC start!!!!

GO TEAM!!!!

He could have had an MRI yet. Bad post.

@ the fins suck: you suck.

Can anyone explain that first down by Tannehill being called back , the rule has always been if the they go under the hood to look at play and the evidence is inconclusive , then the call on the field stands , apparently up in Lucky Land where you can intentionally ground the ball all you want if you have a horseshoe on your helmet, they just take your first down move the ball two feet backwards re measure and give it to the Colts WTF was that??????

Dave in Davie, it's a tragedy you moron. Only a moron from, where DAVIE would think like that moron.

Yah ..and The Fins Suck with a feared missing brain...you dickhead!!!!

Mando,

"...this game between the Dolphins and the Colts will be a statement about the 2013 Dolphins. They win today and they are squarely and rightly considered playoff contenders and even AFC East contenders."

Honestly, when you wrote that you thought the Colts would win didn't you? C'mon man!

A sellout for the Fins opener? I'll be there. Free burgers and beer.

Dave in Davie, you're the only turd here moron

Can't wait until we play the JV Jets. Hahaha, you losers look like clowns.

You don't talk about a dead child period.

FINE DEFENSE GOING DOWN LIKE FLIES

SOUND THE ALARM

Nobody is reporting, as yet, that Soliai is hurt bad. I've seen NO reports on him!

who cares about OJ he has nothing to do with Joe Philbin and he's still alive.

LETS GET BACK TO THE HORRENDOUS INJURIES THE FINS HAVE.

WHAT A DISASTER.

TWO LINEMAN OUT FOR THE YEAR

OLB OUT FOR 1-2 MONTHS

WE ARE DOOMER

National media coverage of the Phins is an absolute joke. How could there be not more coverage and highlights of such an awesome game displaying two great new QBs. And yes RT is now part of that discussion, in fact you can argue as a passer he is ahead of RG3 and Wilson, and they have not even unleashed -wisely- his running ability which I think would be used if needed in playoff time.

It is uberly annoying and just plain unfair the amount of coverage a garbage team like the Jets get and they are not even as popular of a national team as the Cowboys are. It is the kinds of Peter King, Bill Simmons and Chris Berman who show ZERO professionalism exhibiting his biased opinion. Disgusting. You will see in a few weeks how that changes because we do have a team now.

And that leads me to a self reflexion. I learned that we know nothing about nothing. We love to be armchair GMe and question every single team decision but the truth is that we wre not as smart as we all think we are sometimes. Is this team perfect now? No way but we are undoubtedly headed inthe right direction and it seems that correcting those imperfections i this team could lead to something truly special by peaking at the right time at the end of the season. Phins up!

Just so most know.

If you take the plea bargain doesn't mean you done it.

It goes on your record but it doesn't mean you actually did it.

Great win. Go Fins
