Is Jordan still suffering from a chronic and permanent shoulder injury that will render him into nothingness?

just checking.

Mando what happened to BREAKING NEWS: JORDAN IN DOUBT FOR WEEK 1 ACCORDING TO MY SPECIAL SOURCES?

Damn you ProGolf, you had me come here and now I'm back to thinking about the team too much...

Latest random musing.
The irony that comes from the fact that I can legitimately argue that every position-group on the Defensive side is stronger this year, but they've potentially gotten weaker in multiple spots on Offense.

Now that's not the worst thing in the world. I've always argued that you're better off creating actual positions of strength, as opposed to trying to be "solid" across the board, but it is a bit depressing since improving the offense was such a priority this off-season.
It still could improve, but the bulk of the responsibility will squarely be on Tannehill's shoulders...With no more built in excuses.

And now I'm back to rambling posts...Okay, I'll shut up now.

Ryan, the offense will be ok heres how I look at it. You are right though, the D is better at every position.

WR is a huge upgrade.

QB will be in a upgrade with Tannehill having another year to learn the offense and improve.

O-line will be an upgrade. LG, C, and RG are the same. Martin is a year better. He should be solid at LT or at least much improved. Remember Long missed 4-6 games last year. At RT Clabo will be better than Martin starting his 1st few games or Garner.

RB is a question mark it could be a downgrade, but it could also be an upgrade based on if Miller and Thomas can reach their potential.

TE might be a little worse or the same. It would've been much better if Keller was healthy. If Egnew and Sims can step up it still might be improved.

Special teams is also better with Sturgis being better than Carpenter, specifically on getting touchbacks on kickoffs.

Its gonna be a good year.

Quick - Spray the field with Injury Bug B-Gone.

Go Dolphins!!!!!

I remember Ireland had "many chips" in his pocket last year with the 5 early picks and cap space.
The result?
Same OL minus Jake Long
Same TE minus Fasano(our best TD receiver)
Same WRs plus Wallace
Same RBs minus Reggie Bush

Same DBs minus our top CB(Smith)plus Grimes.
Our 2 best LBs gone, unproven guys replaced them.
Same DL plus Jordan(hopefully not a bust and healthy)

At least he didn't cut our MVP Brandon Fields.

Somehow I am not impressed by the result, also not surprised.

In response to Nemo above:

I do tend to agree, not a doom or gloom type situation....As I said, just a random thought.
I actually did understand the decisions when it came to guys like Long and Bush. It's just the realization that side of the ball is still where so many of my questions remain, and the realization that right-or-wrong Tannehill is going to be held accountable for those answers.

Also on a couple of those areas:
Admittedly TE is due to injury. Keller was a potential upgrade.

I'm of the mindset that anyone that says they know what to expect from Miller (as a lead-back) is crazy at this point. What I do know is that he has flashed enough to earn the chance to show us...
And if the pre-season was any indication Bush may be better off in Detroit anyway where they can fully utilize his talents.

4 consecutive losing seasons is the worst Dolphin team ever. Thanks Ross and Ireland.

The Dolphins need to improve in two stats for a winning record in 2013, one is an offensive team stat, Red Zone scoring ratio TDs/FGs,the other is mostly a defensive team stat turnover differential.Turnover differential which for the few if any on this blog that dont know is simply getting more turnovers from your opponents than turnovers you give away to your opponents.
Turnovers are stats kept almost on any site that covers the NFL.Red Zone TD/FG ratio is not.
I will be keeping that stat myself this season and after each game will list both stats for the games on this blog.

Jordan participating fully? WTF happened to all of the doomsday Jordan can't play this season stories? ha

Hopefully nothing is lingering and he's fully healed. They did baby him along so crossing my fingers. Good night guys.

Unproven yeah right
Ellerbie just came from Super Bowl lol

Jamar Taylor seems like a bust

I will illustrate the difference between winning and losing with the use of just THESE TWO STATS.
Sometimes the difference between the two teams will not clearly determine the winner of the game, but I believe over the course of the complete 16 game schedule it will provide the data that exemplifies the difference between being a winning team as opposed to a loser.

Our 2 best LBs gone, unproven guys replaced them.

Say what?

Didnt Phins78 say goodbye 20 minutes ago? I told u guys he doesnt leave!!!!!!! He lurks!!!!!!!!LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Same OL minus Jake Long"

Huh? Didn't we draft a guard and just sign a former first rounder? Was Tyson Clabo on the team last year? Nope

"Same TE minus Fasano(our best TD receiver)"

Co0me on now. It's obvious you are not a fan, you don't know the first thing about the team. Great try though. Actually not really, it was bad, it was a really bad try.

Guys!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited about that I just wet myself!!!!! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!

Guys!!!!! I'm such a moron I was just over in the other blog talking to myself and when Phins called me out on it I immediately came over here to make fun of him as a deflection!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guys, guys!!!!!!!!!!! Pals?! Buddies?! Laugh with me!!!!!! it's so funny!!!!!!

Okay this time I mean it. Got to go, have a great night, even you weirdo.

I thought we were told 'from sources within the team' that there was next to no chance that Jordan would play Sunday?

Did somebody give him the magic sponge like they do with the players in soccer?

Reggie Bush is gonna get Wally Pipped by Joique Bell this year in Detroit.

TFK

Okay this time I mean it. Got to go, have a great night, even you weirdo.

Phins78 when you never do what you say you are going to do....its you thats the weirdo.

Did Cameron Jordan and Jordan Cameron both end up in Cleveland?

They came out in the same draft and I liked them both. The Tight End I liked better than the DE, but both of them showed a ton of potential and upside.

I knew the Browns drafted the Tight End. Above, Mando mentions LB/DE Cameron Jordan. Are they BOTH on Cleveland's roster?

I think I pulled a groin just reading this drivel.

Before you go please name the fins top TD receiver last year since you are such a fan.
The guard they drafted looked atrocious against scrub competition and the 1st rounder you mentioned was a bust on a team with the worst OL in the NFL, be real dude.

I prefer to be wrong and that you are right, but with 5 early picks all we use to fix our offense is a guard in the 4th or 5th round?

We went 7-9 last year with a rookie 'inexperienced" Qb who had no real weapons to throw to. A defense with apoor secondary yet led the league in "redzone" fewest points defense. Despite that had it not been for Carpenter ans Sean Smith this 7-9 team wins 10 games. Despite starting a rookie on the Ol(Martin). So now the Qb is more experienced, the defensive secondary has improved, we now have 3 very good weapons to throw to. So with that said why should we(dolfans) not feel like we won't be a better team ? We are but it comes down to just what King Shula said "Turnover ratio" win that battle sunday and this year and this team barring any major injuries wins 10/11 games easy. Good Qb play and good defense is a recipe for success and we have that.
Dolphins 27 browns 13.. Go fins !!

LMAO, please drive into a concrete pole doing 80
Then we can all LMAO knowing your gone

Cameron Jordan plays lfor the Saints clowns

L'Shana Tova to you and yours!

rym.....don't know if you picked up on that last blog but keep rambling! Good stuff

Welcome to Club Mando!

Jordan is playing. We try to foucs on negatives here people so we can sell to the national media.

This is why no one in the national media is picking us...but hey, we have to earn a living too you know!!

Every year the same thing happens. In anticipation of our season opening game against the Browns, I'm already starting to hyperventilate!

I'm getting hyped Big Time. I'm through worrying about Ireland and any last second moves. I'm tired of all the upside and potential "TALK". I don't want to hear about any sore ankles or bruised knees!

I DO NOT need to hear any more half-truth Excuses!

1. I want to seem some INSTANT EVIDENCE of Sherman's prediction on Tannehill's IMPROVEMENT!

2. I'm ready for Lamar Miller too PROVE he's a capable upgrade to Bush!

3. I'm ready for Clay to benefit from Wallace's prescense, exploit the middle and score some TD's. That......OR.......Quit being a Pretender and Simply get out of Sims way.

4. I want to see Mike Wallace Beech Slapping all the DB's dumb enough to get within range!

5. It is TIME for Cogs, Pouncey and the rest to reaffirm or establish themselves as the Toughest, Meanest, most Physical O-Line around!

No more excuses! This Defense will set the tone early as one of the BEST there is. Meaning that all of the above is not ONLY possible, but PROBABLE!

Yes indeed Ladies and Gentlemen.............

**IT IS TIME**

ValHalla!!!!

(The Browns......? Pfsssssssssssssssspt!!!!)

I knew the Browns drafted the Tight End. Above, Mando mentions LB/DE Cameron Jordan. Are they BOTH on Cleveland's roster?

Posted by: odinseye | September 04, 2013 at 05:49 PM

Funny you mentioned it because I was just thinking the same thing, I actually confuse them all the time as to whose last name is Jordan, LOL! I think Mando gets confused as well because if memory serves Cameron Jordan (LB/DE) was drafted by the Saints and given Mando listed LB Jordan Cameron (the backwards name of the other guy playing T.E.) he's confusing the two.

Getting ready for fantasy football on Sunday by the way odinseye, America loves the browns to beat the dolphins on Sunday. The dolphins will not be favored in any game til week 7 vs the bills :-):-):-) !!

King Shula...good thought. Big difference between 'predictions' and 'forecasts'. Forecasts are probabilities expressed in percentages. After the percentage is determined you can or not make a prediction. That prediction becomes an absolute. Over the entire season is a better judge as to the accuracy of a prediction. On a game to game basis a 'forecast' is more realistic. What percentage best describes the 'Phins changes of winning this Sunday?

You're right about one thing Odin: No more excuses. I'm sick of losing, sick of hearing excuses. Philbin, your honeymoon is over, show us.

The Dolphins announced injuries?? What, 3 hours late?

I prefer to be wrong and that you are right, but with 5 early picks all we use to fix our offense is a guard in the 4th or 5th round?

Posted by: Marios | September 04, 2013 at 05:52 PM
==================================================

We got Dallas Thomas whom I expect will be a very good to great Guard.......eventually.

We also got a steal in Tight End Dion Sim's. The 22 year old **KID** has Star written all over him.

Additionally, we FIRST addressed the Offense in Free Agency. Wallace, Gibson and Keller are nothing to sneeze at. The injury to Keller sucks, but they happen. I think it's outstanding that Ireland was able to land Sims to ease the pain.

Depending on how early and often Sherman trusts Sims, I fully believe that he can be the Best **ALL AROUND** Tight End Taken in this Draft!

In addition to this realistic view, we helped the Defense immensely. Which will, in turn, help out our Offense to NO END!

Could it have been better? Sure!

Could it have been worse? Sure!

Could it have been different? Sure!

Could it have been that we had tons of holes to fill in one short off season? Hell YES! All things considered, we covered a lot of ground and filled in a ton of blanks.

We Shall See Soon ENOUGH!

None of our interior linemen strike me as the shiniest cherries in the tree.

DAMN! I SECOND EVERY MOTION!!!!!

I N S P I R I N G!!

In anticipation I always NEED to hold off on the drinking, more than one opening week lost when my nervous anticipation gets together with life long pal Johnny Walker!

Yo Jeffy,

Is your momma a hooka?

Our O Tackles are smart and know their assignments but, if Incognito, Pouncey, Jerry have blown their blocking assignments on some plays, how on earth are they going to pick up the blitzes? Poor Tannehill.

Imagine that F4L agreeing with odinstank and admitting he has a drinking problem like his hero odin..

Have to agree that this week is more important then it would be normally. With the opening schedule this has to be a win, regardless of how we do it. We need momentum going into Indy. Without it the early season could turn ugly. And rebounding would be very difficult or worse.

Tannehill really took some serious shots from the blind side at the beginning of last Season. At least that proves he's durable and gutsy.

F4L, Tell us when you realized you had a drinking problem.

You and Mando are "The Clowns"......you "Protein Shake".

Mando wrote this:

Meanwhile, G Gary Barnidge (shoulder), WR Davone Bess (knee), LB Jordan Cameron (groin),

Cameron is obviously the Tight End they drafted in the 4th round(This is the guy I prefered over Charles Clay).

NOT the LB/DE that Mando lists him as in the injury report.

Odin, Did you take your kid hunting while high on morphine like you do every labor day?

Find to open game with 30 yard pass to Wallace

Make that 'Fins' to open game..,

SWEET!!!!

Everybody LOVES The Under Dog! Especially the Chicks.

It reminds me of my Career as a Bean Pole beating the Snot out of the Bouncers at all the Clubs we played.

(I ALWAYS thought it was GREAT PR when we could start riots at the Clubs we played. Everybody wanted to go see The Band that started the Riots-LOL)

I wonder how much Bellicheat paid for Keller's knee?

It is obvious that Armando has grown tired of everything and all and is searching for another Profession.

Imagine that F4L agreeing with odinstank and admitting he has a drinking problem like his hero odin..

Vegas says Pick'em.

We have to establish the run in the first half. If not, advantage Cleveland.

I'm not so sure how well our RB's can do against their dline.

Vegas don't know Cam Wake and Oliver Vernon!

When Vegas takes a snap with Vernon too his right and Wake too his left, you give me a Call!
