Wake out of game with knee injury

The Dolphins and Falcons are locked in something of a shootout and perhaps one reason is the Dolphins have been without defensive end Cameron Wake for most of the first half.

Wake, Miami's sack leader, injured his knee on the Falcons first possession of the game. He tried to return the second possession but had to leave again and even went into the tunnel that leads to the locker room and X-ray machine at Sun Life Stadium.

The Dolphins officially have Wake as questionable to return.

The team initially substituted Vaughn Martin in for Wake. Then left end Olivier Vernon moved to right end while Derrick Shelby came in at left end.

The most effective substitution, however, was when Dion Jordan came in the game at Wake's spot. Although coaches are concerned about Jordan's run-stopping, he was allowed to play several early downs and even made a key third down stop on a run at Miami's own 3 yard line.

That stop forced the Falcons, who have 15 first downs, to settle for a field goal instead of score a TD.

Wake, meanwhile, has been prowling the Miami sideline trying to stay loose and obviously hoping to return in the second half.

3-0!!! RT17 and The dolphins have arrived!! watch out NE!!

Great final drive by Tannehill. It however concerns me that the O-line can't block and the defense can't stop the run. needs to get better but for the first time in a LONG while I have faith in this team and coaching staff.

There are a few things for the normal naysayers to chew on again this week, but also can chew on this: 3-0!!!! Say it again every one! 3-0!!!! I would love so much to be partying in the city where the heat is on, all night on the beach till the break of dawn. Hope all Dolphin fans everywhere totally enjoy this huge statement win with a few beverages of their choice. I'm still trying to figure out how we won this game, but WIN WE DID!!! Everyone please totally enjoy this evening and savor this very, very big win. After tonight we get back to work, correct the mistakes, and get ready for 3-0 Miami at 3-0 New Orleans on Monday Night Football. Naysayers, please keep doubting us. Us Dolphin fans are too busy partying and enjoying this 3-0 start. AWWW RIGHT MIAMI!!!! GO DOLPHINS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gotta give the D some credit holding the Falcons to a field goal attempt on their drive before our td. They got a lot of improving to do but it's evident we have some playmakers.

Next will be a tough against the Saints in New Orleans on Monday night. I will try and take it in stride. Considering how tough that game will be and all of the injuries on the defensive side, I don't think we can win that game. It is OK, I don't expect us to go undefeated. Let's take care of business at home and go 500 at home and see where we stand.

Peter King is looking better every week with his Pats-Seahawks SB prediction.

My biggest concern for the rest of the year is the health of Ryan Tannehill. Our OL is awful, Clabo, Martin, and Jerry are terrible and will end up getting Tannehill hurt this year.

Ireland has built a great defense. I know the D gave up a lot of yards today but half their starters were hurt. Ireland also found the franchise QB, and some pretty good weapons on offense (Hartline, Gibson, Wallace, and Clay). The only area left to build will be the Offensive Line, we need three new players on the OL. In 2014, we should sign Albert in FA to play LT, draft a RT in the 1st round, and a RG in the 2nd round. We are an OL away from having a real contender in South Florida.

It's over for Sea World if the Falcons score.

Burning a T/O, bad coaching.

True to form, no matter what Sign in name you're using, you do not fail to make an idiot of yourself.

With the Browns you weren't too sure, so you only stuck your foot halfway down the pie hole.

With the Colts you thought you had us! But YG......ah.......I mean Fire Ross(ahem-Right ;), you deep throat-ed that Foot. I guess that equates too: "In Yur Throat!" LOL.

But, NOW......with The Falcon's, you were SO - SO SURE we would lose-LOL. You made the biggest idiot of yourself too date......TODAY! You were so POSITIVE the Falcon's would put one on us, you were here EARLY spouting your "Utter Nonsense".

So ah.........how does it feel, now that you've proved beyond any doubt WHATSOEVER, that you're the Top Ignoramus ever......OF ALL TIME.......here on the Blog?

Go back and look at all the idiotic posts you made today-ROTFLMAO! Especially when it looked like the game was getting away from us-LOL! You would pump it up to a fevered pitch!

HILARIOUS the way Tannehill, Thanks in large part to a wounded defense that kept us in there, spectacular the way Tannehill engineered that come from behind win, against one of the best teams in the NFC!

HILARIOUS the way **TANNEHILL** made you EAT all your dumb ass words and posts, Dont'Cha Think-LOL?

I guess there wouldn't be a more appropriate time to say: Shut Your Pie Hole, you've made yourself look stupid enough for One Day!

There also couldn't be a more appropriate time for one of my patented:

**Bhwaaaaaaaaa Haaaaaaaaa Haaaaaaaaa!!!!**

AwwwwwwwwwRiiiiiiiiiiiight MIAMI!!!!

(PS: Oh yeah, almost forgot: What'd I TELL YOU BOY? 3-0 Baby!!!!).......

Gonna be a quiet night and week from the trolls.

Go cry on your pillow fellas and tell us gain how 'Ireland doesn't know how to draft anyone'.

Bunch of doofuses!

Craig M, I told you to have faith buddy. Woot! Another win looks good on us.

Orlando. I disagree about our OL. I think they'll get the job done. Look at both 2 mins drives to finish off eac half; RT had the timeto do some damage.

The sacks came from blitzes that our RBs could not pick up or Tanne holding too long on the ball. The run game is a concern but we'll figure it out

Not pretty but a WIN!!! WOO!!! Where ya at BlackBird!!!

Good point Arturo on the running backs but the offensive line needs improvement and I believe that is our biggest weakness. However, I do agree that if our RBs and TEs do their job in pass protection and Tannehill learns to get rid of the ball quicker, the OL will not look as bad. I don't know if those blocking issues are correctible this year. Those players may need more experience and we may still be a couple of OL away from being a great team.

Lmao Dolphins are the real deal.
This is why I tell you people you're idiots.
They were lucky today.
Period.
The team clearly has issues.
...and now they have injuries piking up lol.
No Soliai, no Wake.
O-Line blows.
Ireland's LB's can't cover again.
Phins winning means Ireland gets to stay...
Enjoy perpetual mediocrity.

The **ONLY** thing you have to LMAO about, is all the Blather that comes out your Pie Hole-Now **I'm** LMAO and SMH at YOU!!!!

I EXPECTED you to post the above. I mean, come on now, lets be honest. It was either this.......or:

**Sorry everybody for running my mouth like a Blathering **Know Nothing** Idiot, I was Wron.......wron........I was Wron......wron.......

**I WAS WRONG........AGAIN**

ROTFLMAO - Indeed!!!!

Defense has me worried...they have made the play when it was absolutely necessary BUT look pedestrian for most of the game...same thing in Indy...ZERO sacks on Ryan...against a beat to shyt Oline of scrubs at T...makes me nervous...

Jeff Ireland is the main reason this team is where it is. He had the guts to pull the trigger on Tannehill with the 9th overall pick. He has built a great defense. He has drafted some great players (Jordan, Odrick, Jones, Misi, Shelby, Hartline, Pouncey, and Sturgis). Great FA signings (Wallace, Grimes, Gibson, Ellerbe, Wheeler, Incognito, and Patterson).

Great job Ireland!

That was an unbelievable throw from T-hill and an outstanding one hand catch by Sims.

I had these same two thoughts, but it didn't stop there.

I question and even criticize Sherman's play calling at times. But I (in this case)LOVE to give credit where credit is due.

That was an awesome play call, especially in that situation. Sims had his Pre Season moments. But didn't play much the first two games.

Putting him in there really helped sell the run and then the Run fake!

But calling his number too........?

An EXCELLENT play call by Sherman!

A good, all around team win. Actually, I should say: **ANOTHER** All Around Team Win!

ValHalla - 3-0 Baby!!!!

kick Omar Kelly in the A## for us Armando!! he can P$$@ on this!! LOL Go Phins!! Go Herald!!

True fans would not be so negative!

I quit watching the bloodbath, when Atlanta was in scoring position. I came back just in time to see, the Falcons hadn't scored and Tannehill march down the field, like Wellington at Waterloo. I wouldn't have believed it, Go Phins!!!!

After Wake went out. D-line looked best when Vernon played Wake's position and D Jordan played right side. Odrick woke up. I worry about Ellerbe and Wheeler. They don't stop the run like Burnett and Dansby. Grimes is a gift. Manna from heaven. Dion Sims is a MAN. Got held, (no flag) of course, but still made a great one hand catch. Tannehill may hold on to the ball too long, putting a lot of pressure on a not very good O-line, But he is really a gamer. Good WIN!!!

TAKE THAT DOLPHIN RAY!! NOW STFU!! FINS WIN ! FINS WIN! 3-0 AND WE DO HAVE A GOOD QB AND A DAMN GOOD TEAM!! ALL YOU WHO TALK BAD ABOUT THE TEAM BEFORE THEY PULLED IT OUT FU STAY OFF THE BOAT, YOU"RE NO DIFFERENT THAN THE FANS WHO WALKED OUT ON THE "MIAMI HEAT" THEN TRIED TO COME BACK. THEY HAD TO STAY OUT SO YOU GUYS NEED TO STAY OFF THE FINS BOAT.. WIN OR LOSE SUPPORT THE DAMN TEAM.. WE WILL TALK ABOUT THE FINS PROBLEMS STARTING TOMORROW BUT FOR NOW WE ARE 3-0 AND HEADING TO NO FOR MNF..WHO WOULD HAVE THUNK IT ?? GO FINS DAMN GOOD WIN !!

it has to be killing fire ross, truth, and matt that miami is 3-0
