Dolphins at Bills: Live blog plus inactives

Creeping closer to game time today and here's what's up:

Cornerback Dimitri Patterson is active for the first time since Week 2 against Indianapolis. He still is not starting. Nolan Carroll will continue to be the starter.

Middle linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (shoulder) is out today as expected. Jason Trusnik will start in his place.

The other inactives are Pat Devlin, Michael Gillislee, Josh Kaddu, Will Davis, Danny Watkins and Dallas Thomas.

If you haven't done so already, kindly catch up with my column today that should offer perspective on where the Dolphins are today despite the fact they haven't had a lot of success lately. It's good.

I don't see a lot of obvious changes or tweaks from the Dolphins other than, as I reported earlier this week, there should be quite a few screen passes today. At least that's the plan.

And as always on game day, there's a live blog. Join me inside the live blog.

Jets & BIlls passing the Fins .... NE still way ahead - cellar dwellers in the AFC East here we come.

Tired of seeing these Fins lose the same way each week. QB can't make a play, poor play calling, D unable to make critical stop .... critical turnovers

The season rapidly fades away.
3-0. What a joke, we fans knew iit was just a mirage. We're on track again.
This team is killing my lever every game.
This team has endless imaganation to loose games.

6-10 would be a reach.

Let's start chatting up that top 10 pick we'll get in April ... although our 3rd overall pick really had an impact on today's game ... oh that's right he didn't make any plays. Great trade up Ireland we didn't need any OL help

Why should any of this be a surprise. The team fails to properly address one of the most important positions, the offensive line and now we see what a horrible decision that was. For 3.5 quarters it was looking like the bye week helped but same old same old. Said it before and i will say it again. You gotta be solid upfront before you look at other areas.

Team will be in this morass until it is sold.

Bill A. Sherman is a big part of it. Look even if he runs the ball at mid-field with 2:57 left gets a yard it puts us 3 and 8 with 2:20 to go to the next snap. You try one of those cute screen passes on 3 down as an incomplete pass and punt take you over two minutes. Then with under two minutes you make a rookie injured QB go 50 yeards to win the game away from home. Philbin is such a weak dumb ass coach with zero balls or passion for this team. Please leave and go back to O line coaching and take Clabo with you as your assistant.

Philbin hired Turner, the O-Line coach. Another of those by the book characters with no feel for today's game.
Sherman and Turner need to go, if not now, at the end of the season.
A REAL QB coach needs to come in and school Tanny on the long ball,. There HAS to be a way to make that throw more consistently GOOD.
We miss Keller. Clay and Keller would have been so great that last drive.

Finally, what is it with Philbin that he doesn't trust guys like Gilleslee, Simms, and even Dion?
Dion should be in every play in situations like the Bills final drive.

next coach...you KNOW that's coming, needs to be young, from a winning program, and not a Philbin, who didn't call his own plays. BTW, the Packers have had a horrid O-Line for the past 3 years. Coincidence?
