Dolphins at Bills: Live blog plus inactives

Creeping closer to game time today and here's what's up:

Cornerback Dimitri Patterson is active for the first time since Week 2 against Indianapolis. He still is not starting. Nolan Carroll will continue to be the starter.

Middle linebacker Dannell Ellerbe (shoulder) is out today as expected. Jason Trusnik will start in his place.

The other inactives are Pat Devlin, Michael Gillislee, Josh Kaddu, Will Davis, Danny Watkins and Dallas Thomas.

If you haven't done so already, kindly catch up with my column today that should offer perspective on where the Dolphins are today despite the fact they haven't had a lot of success lately. It's good.

I don't see a lot of obvious changes or tweaks from the Dolphins other than, as I reported earlier this week, there should be quite a few screen passes today. At least that's the plan.

And as always on game day, there's a live blog. Join me inside the live blog.

This may be the worst 3rd and long D in, well, ever.

Moore was an interception machine all through training camp. Not the answer.

Answer is more talent on field, which we won't have with Ireland.

One legged running backs and a practice squad QB. The fins have hit rock bottom today. The worst team in the division is blowing them out.

3rd and 20, you know they're gonna screen, and you don't have the defense setup for it? Terrible coaching again.

The problems here are coaching for sure. And Tannehill is playing like crap. Two weeks of prep to come out this flat and offense is costing us the game.

Fire Sherm.

Well the first 3 weeks were fun, now it feels like being a Dolphin's fan.

Does Tom Brady have bad games ?

How about Aaron Rodgers ?

Peyton Manning ?

Drew Brees ?

Did Dan Marino ever have bad games ?

Add to this, Tannehill hasn't had any good games either.

You know what this spells ?

Tannereach is a bust.

Gotta have a stud at QB in this NFL.

Anything less just ain't good enough.

Paging Dr. Tannehill, Dr. Tannehill you're needed in the rectal exam room.

Philbin needs to fire Sherman at half time. He couldn't make it as a college coach. The Ravens fired Cam during the season and won a championship!!!

id say fire philbin and staff but they arent gonna 2 that 2 years in. but wow are these guys bad, how do we always get stuck with the worst coaching staffs in nfl

THE COACHING STAFF IS BAD GUYS..2 WEEKS FOR THIS PORFORMANCE...PHILBIN MUST GO BEFORE THE GOOD PLAYERS WE HAVE GET OLD...GET RID OF PHILBIN..WE NEED A BIG NAME COACH..ALSO BUFFALO ALWAYS BEATS THE FINS WHEN THEY HAVE A NEW COACH..SEE THE NUMBERS/.

I LOVE THIS BLOG ESPECIALLY WHEN IT GOES NUCLEAR

Another interception and you have to imagine they'll put Moore in there.

this defense is playing so soft today, third down and longs have been makeable for bills with nothing but screen passes to hurt rbs...thank god for 3rd and 20 cuz they only picked up 16 on that play....

Some how, what I'm seeing today doesn't surprise me at all. I mean, what's new?

When Tannehill begins committing turnovers, he does it in bunches right?

Oh lordy ...Tannehill is out there again.

At least it was good run by Miller.

Lol. Where are all the posters who loved Tannehill?? He just doesn't have it fellas. He sucks

Why all the Tanne hate? No QB can in the NFL can overcome getting hit like that. At that sack rate this was bound to happen and way overdue. Now it is entirely possible Ireland and Philbin have ruined what could have been a promising career. I hope not but once QBs lose that "it" and their confidence is shaken it is over.

this d couldnt stop me from running on them, sherman wake up and run the ball most of time

We will win the game.

Tuck your whining away.

Cannot blame Sherman for some of the passes that Tannehill is throwing. That last interception was terrible.

Yes! That's it.

Philbin won't fire anyone, he is scared of change. Ross won't make a change either because he believes this guys are good. Next year will even be worse with the accelerated salaries of Wallace, Wheeler, and Ellerbe. All you can do is hope the they better, that means everyone

Put Hennehill in the O-line, upgrade both positions.

eel bills are awful, no doubt miami will comeback but in the end this start will be to tough to overcome and we will lose a close one

Throw another pick Tannereach.

I have faith.

I'd call for Moore but he effed up the suck for luck campaign........let's tank so we an draft after Jax & whoever else smells as bad as we do.

Sherman is Tannehill's problem, because he isn't setting Tannehill up to win.

Trade Thomas. Why is miller not the starter again!!???

Same ole Dolphins. Run the ball, play good defense, and keep the ball out to the QB's hands.

That is why Miller should be starting, he EARNED it. Stop being stupid Philbin

Finally! Rolling out.

I agree. Thill is regressing because of the hits pressures sacks. Come on poor guy i feel bad for him. But. If they score they are right back in it.

Tannebust, Tannereach, Tannebust pick pick pick.

eh ... might as well run it up the middle ... you're going to get clobbered by the defensive line one way or another ...

We're watching the true side of Tannehill. I thougth he was a smart guy. Not anymore.
The defense spends more time on the field than referees. Thanks to T-hill. This guy has lot complete confidence in himself. Too sad for him and for us.
Lets see if he can bounce back. Too early to claim a defeat but playing this way it wont take too long.

Good, good.

Sherman's the problem that brought Tannehill here. That's about it.

TD Clay!!

Something to cheer!

14-7 and people are giddy lmao. 14-7 losers. The Dolphins aren't good. Any questions ?

That's it, Sons. Some inventiveness there.

Ecto--

you are right. THill = David Carr.........beaten to death by p**s-poor O-Lines early in their careers.

We will never know if THill is any good due to IRELAND not creating even a passable o-line.

this last drive cannot mask the truth

There we go! Now we're in it. Both my fantasy players too(sad as it may be lol).

THE TEAM BECOMES THE COACHES PERSONALITY IN IT'S SECOND YEAR..PHILBIN IS A WALKING ZOMBIE SO THE PLAYERS START THAT WAY...HOPEFULLY NOW THEY WAKE UP..BUT PHILBIN CONCERNS ME GUYS..ONE OF THE WALKING DEAD.

Does it look like Miller has separated himself now Sherman? Why haven't we seen Dion Jordan ?

I think they heard us, guys. A reverse, a draw.

Better. Now c Mon ffs

Dolphins lose today and they're staring at 3-5.

If Miami pulls it out everyone will forget about this shoddy first quarter, which is why this franchise never changes.

Look. I am not going to blame THill at all because when you get sacked hit pressure the amount of times THill has it just kills a QB confidence. I'm surprise he is not hurt yet!

Bills just need a FG here and it'll take momentum back. Tannreach isn't done throwing picks.

That TD was very well executed.

the least Miami could do is score a td after giving away two....just sayin!!!

Is T-hill warming up now?

There might be some hope for the Fins.

First reverse play and a roll out toss for a TD.

T-hill will have to roll out more to avoid sacks.

Sherman is a huge problem. The only years Packers have been bad recently have been while he was HC.

As soon as he was booted out of A&M, guess what, they got good.

Sherman sucks.

Even when RT has time, his biggest problem is inconsistency. Some throws are perfect, some are just huge jaw dropping disasters. Can't live like that. Oh wait....that sounds like Henne...

Charles Clay (nice 6th round pick by Ireland)! Ireland is not the problem. These coaches need to develop the players Ireland is drafting.

BTW- It looks like the fins just woke up. Finally, a TD.

Finally a tackle with urgency

3-5 Dolphins.

Go get'em now, boys.
