Live blog: Dolphins vs. Panthers

It's all there for the Dolphins today.

No, really, by the end of the day the Dolphins could find themselves alone in second place in the AFC East, only one game out of first place if the following scenario happens:

The Dolphins beat Carolina. The Jets and Pats lose games they may very well lose.

But ...

The Dolphins have to do their part. First. Foremost.

They must beat a team that has won six consecutive games.

The Dolphins inactives today are no surprise: C Mike Pouncey, G Danny Watkins, CB Dimitri Patterson, QB Mike Gillislee, QB Pat Devlin, and DT Isaako Aaitui.

So Nolan Carroll starts at CB. The offensive line is the same as last week with Sam Brenner at left guard and Nate Garner at center.

Wow, a lot needs to be fixed and hopefully it starts in this order, get rid of GM and coach, bring in players to fit the system or change the system to fit the players we have. Wallace is not a good receiver, just a burner who needs a perfect ball every time or he can't go up and snag it (a body catcher), and couple that with the fact that Tannehill is not an accurate deep ball thrower and you have a poor investment in Wallace. The RB's are the worst I have ever seen in Miami since Sammie Smith or Marc Logan or Troy Stratford etc. Very one dimensional and even though the line sucks, the rb's lack any vision or tackle breaking ability or moves. The offensive line is abysmal, Pouncey is a keeper, rest must go. Ellerbe and Wheeler are not physical enough or strong enough at the point of attack and are easily blocked and pushed back. Sturgis is a rookie finding his way and struggling and Tannehill might be able to improve with time and experience but his lack of pocket presence or awareness is maybe not something that can be coached? The interception he threw on 1st drive should have been a run for 5 yards and 1st down, but he continues to make bad decisions as he doesn't know when to run, when to side-step, when to tuck it and run, or when to just throw the ball away?!! Lot of work to do and maybe with a new staff and an overhaul of the offence, Miami could be relevant again in 2 or 3 years? Until then, please stay out of the playoffs, because if you can't run on the road in the playoffs it will get ugly and a blow-out is inevitable.

Sometimes sports aren't fair, both the Eagles and Bears have 2 QBs I'd rather the Phins have than Tannehill
