Live blog: Dolphins vs. Panthers

It's all there for the Dolphins today.

No, really, by the end of the day the Dolphins could find themselves alone in second place in the AFC East, only one game out of first place if the following scenario happens:

The Dolphins beat Carolina. The Jets and Pats lose games they may very well lose.

But ...

The Dolphins have to do their part. First. Foremost.

They must beat a team that has won six consecutive games.

The Dolphins inactives today are no surprise: C Mike Pouncey, G Danny Watkins, CB Dimitri Patterson, QB Mike Gillislee, QB Pat Devlin, and DT Isaako Aaitui.

So Nolan Carroll starts at CB. The offensive line is the same as last week with Sam Brenner at left guard and Nate Garner at center.

bring the HEAT D

Thill misses on that one folks shame. Could have used that one for sure. ~Panthers on the ropes !!!

Thill was runnin for his life... Bad Oline...

Why is Daniel Thomas still in this team? He is useless.

Damn Cam is big.

Man, Cam should have been dragged down there !!!

You can see Newton has the hurt. Hit him harder.

That was all on Newton. Freak of an athlete. Wake needs to give him another uppercut.

Nice challenge Coach. Even if we don't get it, you're trying to help your team.

Agreed Thomas is so hot and cold, gives up sometimes, runs hard against the Chargers. Miller needs to get into the game for us.

Cam is not liking that Dolphin pass rush. We need to be bringing him down though he is slipping too many tackles. The game will hang on that today.

Thill rollout more, he is buying time that way.

Clarence is using lip balm today!

Correct challenge at last by Philbin !!!

He has only challenged three this year wow.

The Matthews catch on the sideline he should also have challenged earlier this year against the Ravens, but he missed it.

We don't have the oline to run against this defense. Especially with those same sorry plays Sherman has used before.

Cam was short there for sure.

Philbin deserves credit for that one. We're always quick to bash him but that was a good challenge.

Cam is not exactly Mr. Accuracy himself. Marco I agree with your criticism of THill but that was a tough throw for any QB not named Brett Favre, he was moving while he threw it.

I'm glad he threw it tho, that is why you pay all that dough for Wallace. This season would have gone much better if Philbin would have been more critical of Sherman's pathetic play calling.

Can we get another dude to return punts ???

RT simply cannot throw a long ball. He is terrible.

get a QB that can match this guys SPEED!!!!

Throw ball sooner TD

Nobody can keep up with Wallace's speed. I don't care what the idiot Wallace bashers have to say. He's not only open, he's open by 5 yards minimum for God's Sake.

Nice catch by Wallace, but if Tannehill led him more that was another TD. But Tannehill at least is getting it there.

That's great news. They have no more timeouis for this half.

Now they double team Wallace, and that leaves middle of the field WIDE OPEN!

Well all u Wallace bashers. Yet another deep ball he had to wait on. Wallace is killin it today. That should have been another 7 points. RT just doesn't have the arm or the confidence to throw it deep in stride

When will Tannehill OVERTHROW Wallace?

Wallace can flat out fly. Speed kills.

Another underthrow by Thill, that should have been a TD if it was on target the guy has been getting open deep all year.

The O should have called a quick call there and not given the Panthers a chance to get that Challenge in the Broncos and Pats always come with that quick hit after a questionable call on a turnover.

This one may go against us.

C'mon Tanne that should of been another TD

Great play by Wallce again.

Thill has to get the ball deeper.

Is Wallace injured ?

Thigpen rarely breaks a tackle.

wow are the jets bad. offense is horrible

Thill for Petes sake again !!!

We got points. Offense did it's job.

Great opportunity missed. Back to field goals.

Thill is not throwing the ball quick enough, that's the problem...

Man a bonehead call again.

Why throw that ball short you need only 6 yards for a first.

Thill is holding the offense back man.

FG is cool. We have to give our defense some time to rest. This game is on the defense today. They have to win this game for the fins.

marco the first one thill threw on run off one leg

Our front 7 has to keep it up. They have the talent, no doubt.

It IS a bad OLINE. But blame that on Ireland not the players. Should have drafted TE with 12th pick then an OL with the 2nd round pick they gave up for Jordan. Then another OL instead of Sims.

First half going Miami's way. Keep it up!

The stadium is empty.

marco u cant be serious, solid play call. thigpen has to break one tackle for first, he didnt

Nice job by defense in 1st half. Many here didn't expect 10-3 Dolphins lead at this point.

I projected 27-17 win for Fins today. Very possible, Panthers have NO Answer to Wallace deep. Tannehill/Wallace may get 1 more deep td today.

Why throw continually 3-5 yards short of the first down.

We don't have Reggie Bush or Sproles to get those extra yards.

Thigpen is much more sluggish than I've ever seen.

Dont let Ginn kill us.

So far the Ted Wells distraction has not affected the fins. They are playing well on both sides of the ball, especially on defense.

usually how it always is orlando, but mia has scored on 2 of first 4 poss vs maybe best d in nfl

Dion Jordan!

Newton, we're going to FU****K you up!!

realist who basically decided the game was over after the first play of the game, won't be back now unless the Panthers take the lead.

Biggest knock on THill pre draft was his small hands. It could be an issue on long throws that require more spin. He does not the prettiest deep balls for sure but neither does Rivers or even the great Marino in the latter part of his career. They overcame that with just brute arm strength. If THill wants (and really must) to improve his accuracy he mush hit the gym overtime during the offseason. Better protection would certainly help, more than anything with THill's confidence not to get whacked bc as Wallace just showed he does not need that much time to get open. THill does need to throw it quicker tho.

Thats what I stated a the top of the show.

Dion Jordan !!!
