Dolfans planning a MetLife Takeover

You have no nidea how many Dolphins home games I've covered where the other team's visiting crowd has become an embarrassment to the Dolphins' organization and actually a problem for the team on the field. (StubHub, quite frankly, is not a friend of the Miami Dolphins ticket office). Pittsburgh games come to mind. Even in the early 1990s, Buffalo fans seemed to turn late-season games between the Dolphins and Bills into something of a vacation.

Well, this weekend a hearty group of Dolphins fans -- approximately 760 strong -- will be taking over practically every seat in section 322 and 323 at MetLife Stadium while the Dolphins visit the Jets.

They're calling it a MetLife Takeover. You know the thing's a big deal when it has its own hashtag and Facebook page ... #MetLifeTakeover.

This is the second year that a group of NYC Dolfans get together to attend this game. Last year, there were 200 fans who participated. So the growth in the group is palatable.

The group will tailgate in Lot L before the game starting at around 9:15 a.m. The group is arriving in four buses as well as other assorted vehicles. Last year, team owner Stephen Ross visited the tailgate. No word whether he might make another appearance this year.

The Dolphins in many respects remain a national team. Fans who grew up in Dan Marino's heyday or got close to the team during the Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor era are buying tickets now around the country as well as in South Florida.

If you wish to join the event go to the Facebook page or find @DolfanNYC on twitter.

I'm sure Jets fans love this.

Consider the event in 2012

As usual Kris runs from a challenge. Oh well.

Friday night is calling...until next time.

Free Incognito!

Dexter to visit Martin!

The End

Hey Nat go post somewhere else.

Philbin should just call the plays from here out Sherman has to go after this season or before he has been horrible, the offense is holding this team back again.

Mc Kinney
Incognito
Puncey
Garner or Brenner
Jerry

Save the Season

Lots of excuses for TannePuke.....

Matt Moore

Save the Season

All gone home my friends ?

Scott,

Philbin has never called plays in the NFL yet my friend.

McCarthy called them between 2007-11 when joey P was in GB.

Ok, I know this won't be popular to say...but it's just a blog.

By the five year mark after the 2012 draft, I believe Tannehill is going to be the first or second best QB from his draft. I think Russell Wilson is the best right now, Luck is having a sub par year, RG3 has gone down hill for too many reasons. So between Wilson, Tannehill, Luck and RG3, I believe Tannehill will at least be second.

Time will tell.

wanted Pennington as Tannehill's QB coach..
Please Mr. Ross it is not too late.
Get Pennington.....

LMAO!

Please forgive me if this wasn't meant to be funny. But, Chad Pennington teaching teaching T'hill to throw the deep ball is like Yosemite Sam teaching Bugs Bunny to be a rabbit.

With his noodled arm, a 20yd pass was going deep with Pennington.

Xerxes

The Karateka?

No way

After 2yrs with Pennington, Henne became known as "Checkdown Chad". lmao

Checking down is not a sin. Brady and Peyton do it a lot. The bomb is just not there all that often....going for it too much is desperation.

We would be 2-14. Rarely do ex-players make good coaches. Dungy only won once with the best QB on the planet AND a damn good defense. No thanks.

Marino took an FO job with us once and quit after 3 weeks once he realized WORK was involved.

Dolphins Extends Incognito's Suspension With Pay"

With the approval of the NFL and NFLPA Incoginito's suspension will be extend with pay, pending the conclusion of Ted Wells investigation.

Sounds fair enough to me. Especially considering "the quitter snitch(Martin) has been getting paid since quitting on the team.

If Martin had an ounce of integrity left, he would at least only accept HALF his current salary for doing absolutely nothing!

Its jackass Incognito that shouldnt be paid.

Jonathan Martin has been STEALING $35,000 a week from Ross since quitting on and snitching out his team mates.

Jonathan Martin has ZERO integrity!

Martin is a good businessman. Just like Ross. You tend to attract your own kind. They are both shrewd.

Jonathan Marin hates Miami because he's never seen poor black people before, except on tv.

Jonathan Martin is a fully white and rich black man. Rich black people hate poor black people. It threatens there whiteness and confirms their blackness.

Its jackass Incognito that shouldnt be paid.

Posted by: Finman | November 29, 2013 at 10:11 PM

Hey Jon! How's the weather out in Cali? Enjoying your free pay checks?

Jonathan felt so threatened by poor black people he used the white Incognito as an airfare ticket out.

Even Martin sees Incognito as "white trash" and worthy of the scrap heap.

Incognito's been kicked off every team he's ever been on. Ireland didnt see the red flag? Are you F'N kidding me?

Jonathan Martin is a Stanford grad and is from a long line of "IVY LEAGUE" DNA.

Does anyone in their right mind really believe Martin felt threaten by the DUMB Incognito?

The bridge is still for sale for those who do. I'll accept cash payment only. Like Martin, I'm smart enough to know cash leaves no electronic nor paper trails.

@10:01

"You find find that any critisms of Thill will have the hounds of hell unleased at your door sire."

Of course, this has nothing to do with the fact that you are clueless when it comes to "what you see" when you are watching Tannehill. Like how you wanted to blame all on Tanny until Duper stepped in and set you straight. Clueless.

In all fairness though, you do feed the obvious trolls. I don't know why you waste your time and the blog's time with them. It only keeps them coming back for more.

Posted by: FYI | November 29, 2013 at 07:23 PM

Unfortunately they come back, never leave, or just change their names a million times.

So you brutally crush their nonsensical arguments, call them on their hypocrisy, and basically show them how insignificant they are as human beings.

And it's soooooo easy to do, I'm mean like shooting fish in barrel easy. Their intellects are not very well developed, I mean come on, most of them are Jets fans.

So you brutally crush their nonsensical arguments

But you don't do that. You feed their ego's.

Saving voicemail for nearly a year shows "intent" to use as an ace in the hole later, as part of a "carefully laced plan".

Even a man with no eyes can see that.

Sam.

You don't have to admire Martin's actions. I don't. But...what I see is a man shrewd at business, no different than any billionaire. There is no such thing as a billionaire that isn't shrewd. Ross probably admire's him.

Regarding Martin:

Until further notice, the Dolphins organization need stay far from drafting future IVY LEAGUE players.

There isn't anyone in this organization SMART ENOUGH to keep those kind of dogs on the leash.

But you don't do that. You feed their ego's.

Posted by: Jet Fan | November 29, 2013 at 10:29 PM

Sounds like I struck a nerve, not fed an ego. lol

Posted by: Ivan | November 29, 2013 at 10:32 PM

Hmmmm....

Jonathan Martin sounds smarter than any GM or HC we're recently had. Maybe Ross can make him new HC and GM.

Or should we even go there?

kris AND DASHI ARE BOTH BROWN DONKEY ...........

As usual Kris runs from a challenge. Oh well.

Friday night is calling...until next time.

Posted by: Frye | November 29, 2013 at 08:36 PM

This is Krissy's M.O.....he comes in here talks down to good people like MIT, SAM, Dashi, Phins78 and then when challenged with facts he accuses you of changing your name. The he disappears....pretty much the same M.O. as a troll!! People should just ignore his ignorant rants. He has hated Tannehill since we drafted him and makes his baseless comments when we lose.

Aloco is a brown donkey a lying troll?

I will be one of many Dolphin fans at the game on Sunday....don't really have good luck at the Met...well except that glorious fake spike game by Marino!! Its fun to abuse the bottom feeding jest fans.

Have fun at the game Bill!

Thanks Darkoak......what Armando post above is really not news. I go to Dolphin games allover the country and we travel very well. Contrary to what this article says we have way more than 760 fans at the Metlife Stadium. In fact in NYC and NJ there are many bars that cater to Dolphins fans every week.

Why are we listed below the Chargers in the Wildcard race? I think Wallace should have made that play at the end of regulation! I think that ball was in the air 67 yds. He threw it at the 33yd and it hit Wallaces hands at about the 1yd line. Why did Wallace spin? Dolphins 30 Jets 16

I'm jealous,wish I could be there too.

Flights are cheap?? Just saying.....most games I fly to see I don't stay a night. Fly in for game and fly back home!

Awesome! Now watch this horrific melt down by Tannehill and the Offense come Sunday.

Why do you have to be a jerk off?? I will name 3 in NYC and 2 in North Jersey? If you have nothing to say bro its really best to say nothing!

Kris is a phony dooshbag. He ran like a frightened chicken when asked to back up his word. See 8:30 tonight.

FYI...there are well over 15 20 in NYC and about 10 in NJ that are DOLFAN bars!! I will name the ones I have personally been too:
NYC...Manhattan ONLY
Slattery's
3rd & Long
Back Page
Blondies
The Sporting Club

NJ....North only
Miami Mikes
Mad Hatter Pub
Maggies
Bulkhead

Tru B Dat that's what Krissy always does...he runs away and hides. Certainly is a punk for the 6'3" 230-235lb former Marine tough guy she claims to be!

Aloco is brown skinned wetback! LOL

Because Krissy like to see where the info comes from. Dolphins are #10 last year in merchandise sales...this year with new logo we should be higher. Imagine if we were winning!! Dolphins have always been a international team. We have a huge fan base in London as well.

Well its dead here and Im working tomorrow saving NYC....Sunday prediction:

Miami 17
NY Jerks 10

Tannehill deep in last minute to Wallace....just for lil Krissy and Marco!

Aloco take a damn bath already you smell like a brown donkey! You haven't seen water since you swam over here from Cuba!

Not only that. I've been saying for years. Kris is one seriously dumb muddah fuh. Seriously. His posts are stupid. His logic is illogical. Let's face it you have to be an idiot or desperate to join the military and make a career of it. Kris is one dumb boner.

It's getting nearly impossible to pick my Dolphins over any team now, no matter how awful.

The longer the distant to convert 3rd/4th downs, seems the greater chance our opponent has of converting 1st downs. With Gino Smith, a rookie qb, there should be hoards of 3rd and long opportunities. But this is what scares me most.

I feel far more confident in our defense getting off the field on 3rd and 3, than I feel if it were 3rd and 30. Talk about playing backassward on defensive side of the ball.

Compounded with the absolute worst oline in the entire NFL during 4th qtrs. Once 4th qtrs. arrive, the oline can neither run block, nor pass protect, not one iota.

This makes it tough to pick the Dolphins if they were playing the New Jersey Generals, let alone another NFL football team.

In this, the offense and defense, are 2 heads of the same blasted beast. In crucial situations(3rd/4th downs) the offense can not stop the run or pass. In crucial situation(4th qtrs.) the offense can not run block or pass protect.

As Vince Lombardi would say:

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON OUT THERE!"

Final score should be:

Miami 27 Jets 10

Because of 3rd/4th down and 4th qtr oline woes:

Jets 20 Dolphins 13

Which it'll be depends on shaking our 3rd/4th down and 4th qtr oline woes.
