Live blog: Dolphins hope to make playoff reach

Tell me before kickoff ... Will the Dolphins show up today?

Will coach Joe Philbin have them well motivated to the point they play fast and jump on the Jets?

(Peanut Gallery: But Mando, if they can't get motivated for a big game like this, when can they? They don't need the coach motivating them.)

Dear Gallery, did you catch the Buffalo game last week?

Have you seen this franchise's recent history?

The Jets have not won consecutive games this year. They won last week. Just saying.

The inactives for the Dolphins today are: Pat Devlin, Mike Gillislee, Will Davis, Jalil Brown, Danny Watkins, David Arkin and A.J. Francis.

The O has really played as bad as they did in the Bils gam,e. They are the same plays and tannehill isn't even on the same page as his recievers. Miller is a joke. Sherman has to go.

Easy 3 yards...

Brandon Albert made the Pro Bowl. Another Ireland miss.
Who was the Fins 2nd round pick again?…oh, yeah.

I'll be pissed if we win the SB this year, that will mean Ireland stays.

Bad news. We cannot break through on the Jets for a score and the Ravens are beating the Bengals so far but it is early.

I think he meant on the punt wilson needed to grab that

Offense needs to get in sync. Not sure ho long the D will hold up.

Nolan Carroll again.

Okay ... THERE'S the Miami defense I recognize.

Od, yes it looks like the Ravens want it more and have a better coach.

Wow, the Jets are in scoring position. Ravens and Chargers are happy right now!

Dolphin running game proves that "running backs are a dime a dozen" is dumb philosophy.

Wake was held…as usual.

Orlando please don't waste our time reporting things we are all aware of. Do you think you are the only one with a tv and internet???

Geno Smith, makes the play and improvises, wish T-hill could do that.

OK, good hold by the defense!

We're one Brent Grimes short at the cb position. I'm not talking about height.

Ok offense the D is hanging in there. Score some darn points!!

Hope Sherman saw the roll out by Smith...

Maybe he might get the idea to roll Thill out...

Tannehill has done it many times this season against big competition. Obviously you are a biased negative nancy.

D has played well, have to say so. Sherman has to show some creativity. I like the Wallace short throws. He'll be open all day on that, unless Ryan has noticed Tanny can't hit the long one. Then, Cromartie steps in front, pick 6.
So, TRY A DEEP THROW?

Sherman takes his restroom breaks inbetween possessions.

Great play!

What are the odds on the O going in for the TD on this drive ?

Tannehill should run on this down give us a read option to keep the Jets of balance. Thomas is injured it looks like, Gillislee wont get his chance, why even draft him ?

Finally, Hartline makes an appearance. Crap, hurt?

LOL at Sam...

Miller's 1st instinct is always eat and west.

doroteo ... so far you've been spot on ...

go=pass
gogo=run

The defense has made an adjustment and is playing Odrick more at DE (in fact he started over Vernon. The defense is playing better against the run as a result. Maybe it is not all the LBs.

Why two runs in a row there??

Miller is garbage, why not use gillsee or jonas gray?

Geno Smith, makes the play and improvises, wish T-hill could do that.

Rick,

I like it that they are sticking to the run. You have to keep the defense honest.

Nice drive so far...

Truth,

You can have Smith. He sucks!

Truth do you comment when Tanne makes a good play or only when he makes a bad play?

Rhetorical question.

Bengals score!!!

many times this season against big competition

THAT'S A FLAT OUT LIE

Yay ... Bengals up on the Ravens now!

If Sherman runs a screen to the RBs today i'll run naked to wallgreens and back

Watch McKinnie on run plays. He blocks nobody on most of them.

Tanny under center!! Seems to work. Faster throws, no sacks. Makes too much sense.
Wish Sherman had the slant with Wallace, but it's clear Wallace wants no part of contact. A shame. No hurry up either. Where did THAT go?

Letting Ricky/Ronnie walk was horrible, when not brining in a vet rb to teach the young guys to pass protect and nuances of being a "NFL Caliber RB".

Why did we run?

Okay, everybody in the building knew Miami was going to run ... why didn't they do a quick pass?

That's fine Orando but it puts you 3rd and long and the Jets can pin there ears back.

Survived it that time though. Nice quick pass the to Matthews.

Oh no! Hartline has a torn ACL, according to Omar Keley!

Tannehill can't get going in the first quarter its a fact, his rating in the 1st all season is around 65, pathetic.

He is our only chance to win, he does have a great short to intermediate arm, so thats what we will ride on. I do call out great plays he makes, its just there haven't been too many.

OMG!

WTF?

RBs 9 carries for 9 yards.

Wow Orlando for OC. Good run there.

Forget they "Lincoln" play! LOL

Finally.

That helped! 12 yards by Miller.

Really, every single snap count:

go = pass
gogo = run

now that's pro football.

Come on TD!

Looks like the Jets DB's are a little early to me.

Take a knee. No need to risk it.

We need 7 or at least get a little closer so we can be in Sturgis range ... i'm thinking we need be inside the 5 for Sturgis.

Miller should have followed Clay....
