Miami Dolphins defeat Patriots, 24-20

Well, the dynasty isn't exactly dead ... But the Dolphins put a significant dent in the New England Patriots armor this afternoon.

Dolphins 24. Patriots 20.

It ended when Michael Thomas, signed last week, intercepted Tom Brady on fourth down with mere seconds to play. The Patriots in typical fashion had driven from their own 20 to inside the Dolphins red zone.

Ryan Tannehill, meanwhile, outdueled Tom Brady. He engineered the drive for the go ahead points. He hit the go-ahead TD. He finished the day 25 of 37 for 312 yards with three TDs and no interception. Tannehill's rating was 120.7.

Yes, this is the Dolphins biggest win under Joe Philbin.

Dude got destroyed as he was throwing but Brian expects him to hit him in stride...get real dude...Tannehill won the game...deal with it...

Bill,

Dashi isn't testing your Blog Cred. I Believe what you say. You have shown to be a person of integrity. You stand behind what you say.

Plus, My only problem is with the Big 3 here. They know who they are.

And Dashi is Dashi. I don't post under another name.

@Dashi

I may stand corrected. I was one who was questioning Tannehill (for Moore, definitely not Henne). Maybe I'm wrong! I sure hope I was/am!

agree jack was hit as he was throwing

I,d like to see him connect to Brian but on the deep ball to Wallace today he was back peddling because the rush was in his face.

franchise qb has arrived, all shiny and new

WOW, way to ruin a great win today by turning on each other. KIDDIES RULE!

I completely disagree that the 4th and 5 call was a "brilliant" play call...they got VERY lucky on that suspect call... 5 wide no one in back filed was weak all day...IMO to call that on 4th and 5 was a terrible play call...thank god Clay picked it up...other than that good game plan from Sherman...I am also so glad to see Coyle go to press on the last 2 drive2...if they didn't press I think the outcome would have been different...Brady was eating the off zones lunch all day...kudos to Coyle for the adjustment...but I think the fact that both Starters went down had more to do with that...

LOL, Montreal! Amazing how some people want to lose games to be at the top of the draft. Yea, that way they can be the Cleveland Browns, to picks every year and still suck.

We all needed to hope for Tannehill to show that he is the real deal and for some of these players to show that they belong. You want to go into next year with momentum and knowing that you are a couple of players on offense and defense away from being a contender. You don't want to get a top 5 pick in the draft, that just shows that you such and that you need a ton of players.

not sure why i put myself through this garbage every time we play these guys. why even watch

Posted by: dusty bottoms | December 15, 2013 at 01:56 PM

Are you sure you're watching?? Because you're ALWAYS WRONG about everything... Maybe you need glasses? When was the last time you got an eye exam?? LOL!!!

2014 orland is the year we take over, east is ours

Corona and Jack Daniels time!!!!!!!
Yes Winnnnnnn BB

We have no secondary to be a playoff team. Edelman and Amendola did whatever they wanted with our secondary today. They were wide open all afternoon. We won by a hair and because Tannehill really played uo to his draft position. The kid has become a 2 minute drill menace. His only mistake today was under throwing
Mike Wallace once. Tremendous first day for newly acquired Thomas. Let's see if he keeps it up. Gutsy call by Philbin going for a 4th down and 5. That call was a winning call. We are going to need some more of these to get to the playoffs and win.

The IMMATURITY by some posters here is simply PRE K. They know who they are too.

I'm out. Enjoyed a great victory and maybe you should too. That is whenever you're rescued from your sandbox.

agree sam peace out brother big win

Vaseline to Brady and Bilicheat

This team is NOT ready to play with the ELITE TEAMS.

Posted by: Alex | December 15, 2013 at 01:57 PM

Another stupid post by a clueless blogger. Not ready to play with the elite teams? We defeated Luck, Dalton, Roethlisberger, Brady...Came very close to beating Newton...Not ready?? LOL!! What an idiot..

Will be nice to shut the THill detractors up for a few days. The measuring stick of 30 games that's been put out there by NFL types has him right on time or a little ahead of the curve. Anyone who can't see this kid has something is either blind or just can't give credit where it's due.

FinsUp!

To be fair to dusty I wasn't feeing very good either until RT drove them down the field for the score at the end of the half...When that ball bounced off Fields head and NE drove down for the score...I thought our goose could be cooked...Tannehill won that game...WOW!!!

HALLELUJAH!!!

Statement game?
The statement is that the DAAAFINS suck.

Posted by: Neil's ghost | December 15, 2013 at 01:58 PM

Another stupid post by a clueless blogger. They suck?? A lot of teams would like to "suck" like the Dolphins right now. 3 wins in a row in December. Yeah, we suck. Moron. LOL!!

Calm down. Even Henne had a couple of good games. Tannehill will revert to HenneHill in a blink of an eye.

no doubt jack. to overcome that horrible start was huge

I could never understand the love for M.Moore. Except that most Miami Fans are sympathetic. They cheer for the underdog. They love watching sport movies.

M.Moore as a QB is below average at best. C. Henne is actually a more talented QB.

I believe that some have taken their hate of Henne and transfered it to loving M.Moore. Thus blinding themselves to reality.

Love how the media is all hanging from Tannehill's sack now. He is being mentioned in player of the week and player of day everywhere now. They act like he just learned to throw the ball - all as he is already breaking some of Marino's records.

Philbin will never beat BB. Simple minded

Posted by: Bert | December 15, 2013 at 01:58 PM

This dude "Bert" again...Never beat BB? Need I say more??? 2 words for you bro...SESAME STREET. Fukkkkin idiot. LOL!!!

Lenny and the jets

If the Defense had played up to the hype...or expectations...this year...that game would have been for the division lead...2 games back...2 to go...hmmmmmmmmm....

10.6

Montreal,

Why bother? We know they way the NFL is today every game goes down to the 4th Q and we've either won or lost by 4 or fewer points. Except I believe for two games. The Fins can play with anybody. It may not be pretty but the way this team is built they will have a chance against the second level teams. We need more seasoning with the like of Seattle, New Orleans. Everyone else we have a shot.

The DEFENCE won the game you morons Eh?

nyfin we are right there with saints, they cant beat anyone on road. seattle best team in nfl

WOW, way to ruin a great win today by turning on each other. KIDDIES RULE!

Posted by: Sam I Am | December 15, 2013 at 05:12 PM

Nobody turning on anyone YG/DB/Sam, just trying to keep you honest.

Are you kidding me elite teams we have beaten elite team you stupid dumb person

We are growing up idiot

Weather Channel reports that the high in Buffalo is expected at 28 degrees with heavy snow. That is a dangerous game. That loss to Buffalo at home could come back to haunt us.

The one thing that TICKED me OFF royally was to hear the chants by Patsies fans of Defense and cheering the first downs by them. Miami needs a bigger home crowd. We don't have a huge home field advantage.

We might be real good right now but what will we be after another draft

This win makes my day. Watched the game with a Pats fan and he had the nerve today the Pats always get jobbed by the refs when they play Miami. Are you kidding me!!

so true nyfin that pissed me off

The defense SURVIVED the game you simple minded APE...they in no way won it...

Ape,the Fire boys cmon yu can come up with something ask Dr Zhivago he knows the best place for fin soup in the keys.

All of you PASTY faced red neck lovers give zero credit to who actualy won the game and who always wins the games fr the Dolphns Eh?
IT'S NOT THE QB STUPID Eh?

Posted by: dusty bottoms | December 15, 2013 at 05:24 PM

We might be there with the Saints if the game is in Miami. But after they dismantled our D by picking on the WORST linebackers in the league, I don't think we can beat them.

I have a feeling the team and coaches are as sure that they are going to lose as we are.

Posted by: doroteo | December 15, 2013 at 01:58 PM

Another stupid post by a clueless blogger. They were "really sure" they were going to lose weren't they?? They came back and won. Hard to believe some people are this stupid. What the hell is doroteo anyway?? That tells us everything we need to know. LOL!!!

The DEFENCE won the game you morons Eh?
Posted by: Ape Tamer | December 15, 2013 at 05:24 PM

Did they score the winning TD? God you're dumb.

remember everyone! Bengals lost tonight is the same as Ravens lose tomorrow we need either team to lose to control our own destiny, want to clarify that!

The scary thing that I see is that when the Fins offense starts clicking it really clicks. We only had 1 bad drive in the 2nd half.

And I love that Wallace and T-Hill are connecting on short and intermediate throws. WRs need touches to be happy. I feel that they are building chemistry now. Chemistry isn't just connecting on deep passes. Chemistry is when a QB looks for you on a consistent basis. This was the first game I can say it looked like T-Hill was looking more at Wallace than to Hartline.

nyfinfan,

This is a transient and event town. There are a lot of people that live here that are from other states. Also, remember that there are a lot of band wagon jumpers and since the Pats have been so successful they have a lot of fake fans. The fins will eventually build a home field advantage but they are going to have to win fans back. They need to take some of those fake fans away from the pats.

nyfinfan, agreed. But they are getting better every week and that's what you want to see going in the playoffs. Very impressive.

Brian you forget that thill was hit on the long ball to Wallace. .. you also forget Moore didn't beat a winning team if I'm not mistaken. Also Brian it's funny how the 3rd team he is on gas him as a back up. What's also funny offs Marshall three Moore under the bus at the pro bowl. .

We keep winning the crowds will come...including me.

Good to see ya around Darkoak!!! GO DOLPHINS!!! Next up is the Buffalo Bills...this team proved last week what they could do in clod weather against a better team...so what does that mean??? BAD NEWS FOR THE BILLS!!!

Dusty.. I think we'd have to win 2 or more games in the playoffs for him to keep his job

not sure why i put myself through this garbage every time we play these guys. why even watch

Posted by: dusty bottoms | December 15, 2013 at 01:56 PM

Im with u my friend. I do it to myself every weekend like an idiot

Posted by: Cash | December 15, 2013 at 01:59 PM

Well, there you go. You both have one thing in common. You're both idiots. LOL!!!!

Detroit is in a must win situation now. They have lost the division lead to the Bears. It is a must win against the Ravens tomorrow night. Let's go Detroit!!!

Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | December 15, 2013 at 05:31 PM

Believe I know that Miami is a Front Running town. Whether it's the Heat or Canes or Fins. Everything has to be made into an event. I'm thankful Ross got rid of that crap with the carpets and such and let them focus on football.

I go down there twice a year to watch games. I stay with my cousin. Miami is South Beach and no one looks beyond there. Last time I went I looked around and saw the stadium half empty. It's really disheartening. IF the fans can't get behind them after this win and show up for the JETS game, maybe Miami doesn't deserve a team.

Just please do not let your guard down against the Bills or Jets. Must keep up the pressure. Go Fins!!

Auto correct. .. Marshall threw Moore under the bus at the Pro bowl

sad but true alex, i didnt expect to win game but iexpected a better showing

Posted by: dusty bottoms | December 15, 2013 at 01:59 PM

Who cares what you expect? You're ALWAYS WRONG anyway...Maybe you should just stop expecting anything...What do you think?? I know, it sucks, we're going to draft too low and we shouldn't be winning these meaningless games and bla bla bla bla bla...LOL!!

You are kind of being a douche #1 Fan...
