Miami Dolphins defeat Patriots, 24-20

Well, the dynasty isn't exactly dead ... But the Dolphins put a significant dent in the New England Patriots armor this afternoon.

Dolphins 24. Patriots 20.

It ended when Michael Thomas, signed last week, intercepted Tom Brady on fourth down with mere seconds to play. The Patriots in typical fashion had driven from their own 20 to inside the Dolphins red zone.

Ryan Tannehill, meanwhile, outdueled Tom Brady. He engineered the drive for the go ahead points. He hit the go-ahead TD. He finished the day 25 of 37 for 312 yards with three TDs and no interception. Tannehill's rating was 120.7.

Yes, this is the Dolphins biggest win under Joe Philbin.

I'm out. Enjoyed a great victory and maybe you should too. That is whenever you're rescued from your sandbox.

If this isn't a classic YG misdirection post. I don't know what is.

He gets exposed, He concocts some asinine idea, Then says he is leaving. Except he isn't, he is just taking a breather to come back using another name to cause havoc. Since "Someone is already acting childish".

(Quotations used for sarcasm.)

It's funny reading some of these post. People that were on the game blog saying the game was over in the first half. Now look at your words . Stay positive real fins fand

so pathetic, man i hate this bs every year

Posted by: dusty bottoms | December 15, 2013 at 02:02 PM

I know, I hear you. Doesn't it suck to be in almost every game, win 3 in a row in December, making a push for the playoffs, playing so much better since that stupid "bullying" scandal...Yeah, I agree...Hate that "bs"...LOL!!! God could you ever be more stupid...

Jack, I love it. You don't like it, well, sorry. It sucks to be you today I guess...

Posted by: nyfinfan | December 15, 2013 at 05:36 PM

Don't hold your breath on hoping that the fin fans will fill the stadium week 17 against the Jets. I expect the Jet fans to come in droves for that game. They always do. It will be 70-30 fins to jets fans (at least). The fins have lost their home field advantage with all of the failures the last few years. They will come back specially if they can make a playoff run this year. That is just the way it is down here. There is just too much to do. It is a show me now type of city. Again, most of the patriot fans you see are fake. Where were all those fans before Brady?

Where's all those eternally optimistic fans that were so excited when we barely beat a crappy Pittsburgh team? Where's Odinseye and Geometry? Phucking losers. Told you not to get your hopes up. Phins will inevitably phuc it up.

Posted by: A Realist | December 15, 2013 at 02:04 PM

Yikes...Talk about looking like a real idiot now...LOL!!! Realist?? Please...Moron is more like it...

Ape your all alone fire ross has disappeared for this game, yu gotta do better Ill throw some bananas in your cage. All the goody too shoes fans have come out in force to say I TOLD YOU SO.

Dashi,

It's actually kinda funny..

So many on here who hated YG/DB, after so many hateful posts by him, yet take to him so easily as Sam.

Tannehill is not the QB of the future. Better start praying for Winston.

Posted by: A Realist | December 15, 2013 at 02:05 PM

Wow...dusty, I think I'll take that title back from you...You're no longer the "king of clueless bloggers" anymore.. This "Realist" dude is now the man...Way to go bro...LOL!!

Could we just enjoy the biggest win in years and QUIT asking people"Where they are?" I can perfectly understand why many people have grown restless over the past 40 years with no Superbowl wins and very few playoff wins. Therefore let's relish this but realize there is more to do like not letting down in Buffalo and winning a first playoff game in over a decade. I LOVE the Dolphins but let's not also put Ireland and a few other clowns into the Hall of Fame.

R

The DEFENCE won the game you morons Eh?

Posted by: Ape Tamer | December 15, 2013 at 05:24 PM

Yep. Scored 24 points they did. And it's DEFENSE dummasss!

Tannehill has missed him in stride all year!!!!! every phucking time Wallace has had to stop and wait for the ball, hes accurate 20 30 yrs out , but he couldnt hit the ocean from AIA

It just feels right.

How depressing

Posted by: Franchise Of The Fallen | December 15, 2013 at 02:05 PM

I hear ya. 3 wins in a row. Bring on the MEDS!!! LOL!!! What a dummy...

What are you talking about #1... LOVE the win and the Dolphins as much if not more than anyone...and you know what??? I was upset during portions of the game and felt at times it was getting away from them...that doesn't mean someone has to copy and paste every post they(you) see that you don't agree with and be a dikk about it...you are acting like one of the trolls at the moment...not trying to be hateful...I just call it like I see it...focus on the positive...and let the trolls spin their tires the rest of the week...they don't need any help looking foolish today...

i agree marco, philbin sucks. but i get called names if i say that. give me a new gm and coach please

Posted by: dusty bottoms | December 15, 2013 at 02:06 PM

Absolutely. I say dusty bottoms for GM and the "Realist" for HC. Super Bowl here we come. LOL!!!

You have to admit this version of YG is better than the others. But agreed. He has fooled everyone with this persona.

Reason, I haven't given him any hell for it. He is actually acting like a regular person under this alias.

The answer is and always will be to win after three in a row they have gone away and are doing a rain/snow dance in their suburb caves so that it snows in Buffalo for the next game.they are not hoping for that playful snow like in pittsburg but snowplow S*it

Not trying to be hateful or be a dikkk about it Jack...Just calling it like it is...I'm a real fan...If what I post disturbs you I'm sorry...I really am...But I will put these idiots in their place...They will only be happy when Miami will lose...So screw them...

Am I the only person that never had any beef with YG around here??? I will admit though...he did really go off his rocker after the pre-season opener...oh well...

And Marshall would throw his mother under the bus , he had a good day , he onlky bashed Moore cause the phins let him go Im not a Tannehill hater , but again you pay 60 million for a receiver you expect a big QB like Tannehill to have the arm strength and accuracy to hit him just once in aseason in stride for a TD , he`s hit him for Tds but on short crossing routes where his speed got him in the end zone but Ill take it as long as were winning thats my only knock on Tannehill and maybe next off season he will work on the long ball and learn how to lead a receiver so he runs under the ball in stride

Posted by: Bill Arnsparger | December 15, 2013 at 04:08 PM

Bill get a life. I was writting during the game you fool, and backed Thill to pull us through from the start of the second.

You spit out garbage as always. Go and read the post's I put up in live action on the earlier blog.

You turn up after the game and start to attack people time and time again, sad, pathetic Bill A.

I look forward to youir apology pr!ck !!!

Now time to go...Great win today, have a great night Dolphin fans (the real ones)...And the trolls, well, sorry Miami screwed up your weekend...LOL!!! See ya!!!!

HUGE game tonight. If the Bengals lose, we control our own destiny. We will no longer have to look at what the Ravens are going to do. We just have to win our last two games.

That's cool #1...I hear ya...its ball good in da hood...GO PHINS!!!!

Dashi,

Let's hope so...He usually keeps this up for a while, then goes nuke.

Still surprised he fooled guys like MIT for so long.

Hm...not really sure how my first sentence ended up in the subject line...that's Jack! @ 558

Not subject line...you know what I am talking about...

I need to catch up. What alias is YG using now?

Sorry left off the 10.6 ...wouldn't want to leave off this teams season ending record...

I've had that up there all year BTW...

HUGE game tonight. If the Bengals lose, we control our own destiny. We will no longer have to look at what the Ravens are going to do. We just have to win our last two games.

Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | December 15, 2013 at 05:58 PM

Huh? They could still finish 11-5 and win the division. Then if Ravens win out they are in and we sit.

Rams are putting it on the Saints ATM...

Just gotta pray Miami don`t play down to Buffalo like earlier in the year , they have a knack for doing that , hope they shed that bad habit rest of season and into playoffs,Great win Tannehill played a great game , he made Brady pee all over his tampon , I love it!!!!!

Where is the fire Ireland crowd? I do not know about the rest but I am here.
Tannehill is the QB. I have believed that for a long time. And thst's one for Ireland.
But it takes more than a QB.
You have to credit Ireland with:
1. Letting Jake Long, Reggie Bush and Karl Dansby go.
2. Believing that Jonathan Martin could be a left tackle.
3. Completely busting on the 2013 Draft class.

That for me is enough to fire Ireland even if the Dolphins win the Super Bowl. I know he won't be but it doesn't mean he does not deserve it.

I am watching the Arizona and Tennessee game and Dansby has been dominant. We really miss him on the defense. They should have kept Dansby on the fins. No way that Wheeler can carry Dansby's lunch. This defense would be so much better if Dansby was still here.

Sam,

Are you still there ? You were posting live on the earlier blog my friend.

Good for you and what an amazing victory that was. Now I can't wait for the Monday Night Lions V Ravens.

Go Lions !!!

TomJeff,

If the Ravens win out that means that they will beat the Bengals (they meet at the end of the year). That would make the Bengals 10-6 (IF they lose tonight)and the fins would win the tie breaker. That is why the Dolphins control their own destiny if the Bengals lose tonight.

Anybody heard the extent of the Grimes injury yet???

Sat in the 400 and it was rockin'...great win for our Miami Dolphins. Bout time to send Patsies back home on a long plane ride.

The good: Baring a complete meltdown, we have found a quarterback. Finally after so many years, finishing reg season strong & looking forward to playoffs. No tricky formations (wildcat) needed. Patchwork o-line is surprising everybody by doing a decent job.

The bad: Coyle sucks. How can you NOT understand Amendola is killing you and not make adjustments? You have to play man on him...how hard is that? BTW, remind me who has the green (who's in contact with Coyle via speaker) dot on his helmet.

Good win Philbin but Coyle needs to go.

Bill A is gone. He isn't big enough to admit when he is wrong.

Not a surprise, but I forgive you Bill, you can't avoid attacking other bloggers, its just how you are my friend.

Come back when you've read up on the earlier blog.

Great win Phins. THill is coming into his own. He did a good job today and avoided the one turnover he seems to have each game.
The defense hung in there and found a way today. My hopes are up again that we make the playoffs, but if we don't, there is hope for 2014 after fixing a few things.
BTW I read that Grimes came off the field with cramps. I hope that's all it is.

Go it. Thanks, Orlando.

GOT it. Thanks.

I tried o tell folks that Orlando but everyone was worried about how much he made.

You can't always sign players to the perfect contract just like Wallace. When your in dire need you have splurge sometimes.

Ireland and Tannehill are linked...Ireland goes as Tannehill goes...you don't know if 2013 is a bust yet either...you were probably screaming 2012 was a bust too...seems this staffs philosophy is to red shirt rookies...and I am okay with that if they perform in year 2/3 as these year 2/3 guys currently are...

Matthews really made a beautiful catch from Thill.

Next year he will be big for us.

The deep ball to Wallace should wait until next year, there are other options deep, Hartline and Clay, even Matthews.

However Thills, short-intermediate is really getting the job doen and Hartline, Clay and Matthews are opening things up. Next season with Gibson back we should really have a nice set of WR's.

If you got a phins shirt, hat or Jacket wear it tomorrow! Fly the flag! I went out Xmas shopping with mine after the game and had a guy shake my hand; he said it good to see some support for our mighty men in south Florida.

ALL HAIL THE MIAMI DOLPHINS!

Thill ROCKS!!!

Gllmiaspr your an idiot letting Reggie Bush go was the biggest mistake Ireland ade its as big as letting WElker go , or choosing that black QB over Bree`s I can t even remember his name he`s been out of the league so long, you don t getrid of your # 1 scorer when building a championship team , you get more guys like him , especially when Bush said he`d take a pay cut to stay

What up JOE!!!

Thill took the next step!

Biggest game of his young career!

The didn't even need to play man cocoa...just press like they did at the end...it was out of necessity...but the absolute correct adjustment in crunch time...I am not sold on Coyle either...I think we should be looking for 2 new coordinators sometime in the next year or two...

Right Jack... Can give em a free release when they were runnin those quick short yard passes..

I spent $27 on a cap yesterday trash. Lol I had bought a sideline cap at the beginning of the season but thought it was bad luck and quit wearing it.

I think I'll wear this one to bed lol.

Hell yeah Rick!

Cant give em...

Sorry

F*ck I'm HAPPY! :)

Ireland great finds:

Olivier Vernon (3rd round), Charles Clay (6th round), Brian Hartline (4th round), Sam Brennar (undrafted rookie FA), Carroll (6th round), Clemmons and Jones (5th round), and Michael Thomas (pouched).

Great top picks:
Tannehill (franchise QB), Pouncey (top end Center), and Jared Odrick (a beast). And look out in the coming years for Jordan.

Top FA signings:
Wallace, Grimes, Wake, Gibson, and McKinney (actually trade).

Ireland has done a great job of building this team. One more off season in FA, and one more draft and Ireland will have a super bowl contending team. The Brady/Bellichick era is coming to an end. Thanks Ireland!

Yeah Brady wasn't going down the field with all of his down the field threats gone...Coyle should have recognized earlier that the only threats the Patsies had on the field were a bunch of slot and screen guys...almost too little to late on his part...IMO...

Hey Po, feels good doesn't it? Worried a few times but Tannehill kept doin' it...mark of a good QB

It feels soooo f*ckin good Bro!

Thill is cooler than a cucumber..

This better the Xmas when I was 7 years old!!
