Miami Dolphins defeat Patriots, 24-20

Well, the dynasty isn't exactly dead ... But the Dolphins put a significant dent in the New England Patriots armor this afternoon.

Dolphins 24. Patriots 20.

It ended when Michael Thomas, signed last week, intercepted Tom Brady on fourth down with mere seconds to play. The Patriots in typical fashion had driven from their own 20 to inside the Dolphins red zone.

Ryan Tannehill, meanwhile, outdueled Tom Brady. He engineered the drive for the go ahead points. He hit the go-ahead TD. He finished the day 25 of 37 for 312 yards with three TDs and no interception. Tannehill's rating was 120.7.

Yes, this is the Dolphins biggest win under Joe Philbin.

Tom Brady is acting like a little CRY BABY BEEEYOTCH!!! HAHAH!!! WOO!!! Great day for the Dolphins and their fans...Cry Brady Cry...try not to WAKE up with nightmares about #91...

Yeah Jack + QB coach but Zac probably goes with Sherman anyway

Orlando,
I agree about Ireland. Coming into this season I wanted him gone but he won me over. It's coaching I've been most concerned about but I actually think Joe equaled the master today. Just one game but it gives me hope.

He played very good games last few weeks ,no int`s today he lucked out once or twice but then so did Brady he could have 1 or 2 more then he threw if we`d of been more alert , just hope they get the long ball corrected by next season , then he`ll be a great QB that`s honestly the only knock I have against him , but maybe Dan will come in and teach him how to teach him how to lead a receiver and thread the needle deep , pisses me off all these guys that broke his yardage records should have asterick next to their yardage most of their passes for 60 and 80 yrds were really 20 yard west coast offense passes the rest was YAC, Marino actually threw the ball 60 and 80 yrds into the end zone threw the air , big big difference , these guys aint fit to sniff his jockstrap , let alone say they broke his records

It looks like Grimes was only out of the game with cramps. That is great news. The secondary has been completely depleted and an injury to Grimes was the last thing we needed. Carrrol hurt his knee in the game, not sure how bad it is.

I thought Grimes would have gotten some fluids and been back maybe shoot some muscle relaxer in agame this big it looked like he was just cramping up

LOL Po, yes. We've all been fooled before but not this time.

Hey Jack 10.6 what's up bud?

My Pats fan brother is crying every excuse in the book right now. "If we had Gronk", "you were lucky", " see you at the Razor in January".

Lol

The best part is when Cam Wake broke Brady's vagina on that sack. Lol.

If only Marino had an Adrian Peterson , or a Roger Craig, he`d have a couple rings on his finger, never understood why they kept him one demensional all those yrs , Elway was the same couldn t win a SB till they got him a horse then he won two

Great win by the Fins today. If i had any doubts about RT they were put to bed today. He is coming of age before our eyes and just needs to work on that pocket presence alittle better. Cant blame him on the deep ball to wallace. He was getting hit just as he threw so impossible to assess that part of his game. While i feel great about todays victory this defense has to start to play more up on the WR's. Too many times these guys were 10 yds off the ball. All day long Brady going on slants and WR screens. Still all in all a great day for fans of this team. Whoever found Michael Thomas and signed him. Give that guy a huge raise and promote to head of scouting

Right d29; he could not step into that pass...

The deep ball will come; soon as he has some faith in the Oline..

Hard to throw the ball deep when you have been put on your butt more than any other QB in the NFL...

That was driving me nuts as well the corners playing so far off the line. I don't like giving Brady the whole field to work with.

We win the game and you crackpipes sit there criticizing the coaches. They won. How you win never matters.

Brian.

Marino could have used a defense as well. John Bosa, Eric Kumerow, jackie Shipp to name a few wernt going to win Marino anything. As far as a whole career. It really shows you how one man overcame no running game and defense to take miami to where it got to year in and year out

Yeah dolphan29 was screaming at tv , get the hell out of that prevent defense Olividotti used to drive me nuts with it , play man to man and bust Bradys puddy, thats how we got the couple 3 and outs

Brian

There was no attempt or fear that brady was going to stretch the field today. He didnt have anyone to do it. The attack should have been obvious to Coyle. The whole game should have been man and press coverage. Brady took what the D gave him and thank goodness for Thomas in the endzone

That play by Thomas was the season defining play and he's been on the team for one game.

Well he had the no name defense which was good for a couple yrs , but yeah to know hes going to throw the ba,ll almost every down and still beat the double coverage , one game against the jet he threaded the needle so tight two Jet defenders ran head on into themselves and knocked each other damn near out while Duper was loping into end zone

Story book win today fellas...

Cant wait to hear em talk about us on Footbal Night In America...

Gonna be sweet...

I love it when I'm wrong.

Even Egnew had some nice plays.

Feels good to be a Fins fan today.

Brian

He had a defense in 1992 and again in 1997 and 1998. Only 3 years out of 17. Bottom line is the man for the most part was a one man wrecking crew for his career. Its those reasons i put him as the best overall QB of all time. No man had less around him. No defense. No running game

John @4:40pm,

No fulling idea who you are, nor do I care. Never seen you post here before but now all of a sudden you're some expert on what happens on this blog.

How about you go suck a dikk, and leave football talk to others...fukking moron!

#1 play on the Sunday 7 plays; Thill to Wallace TD!

Sweet!

I still hope Sherm is gone after this season. That I firmly believe regardless of the win.

He will "retire" DO...

How about you go suck a dikk, and leave football talk to others...fukking moron!

=====

Craig a week ago you said how you always debate respectfully and that you and your jackoff buddies never call anyone names. Well in the last 24 hours here you are calling names, Phag78 was calling names, and Kris is hiding in shame about being wrong

Man I'm worn out. You would think I was on the field. This team has to learn to put teams away, I'm getting to old for this.

Btw since no one has mentioned him I have to give Brian Hartline some kudos. I think he has proved he is a top WR in this league. It would be great to have Gibson back as well.

Cant we all Just Get along...

We beat Tom Baby and the Pats!

Happy days are here again..

Hard to see your high ground here when you call everyone his "jackoff buddies".

10-6

LOL @ DO...

10-6 all day long BD12...

Hope so Bobby. Been a long time coming.

Yeah Mr MaGoo has cost us two or three games this year , then had the audacity to defend stupid stupid stupid calls, whats Bernie Kosar, or Chad Pennington doing these days, Bernie called Marino`s famous fake spike to save clock call,Fryer where great combo

Love the win had me worried the entire game. I remember when Henne was here we could be up by 2 1 and somehow lose. I am glad that crap is far behind. Looking forward to whats next. Still hope we get some better plays called on offense.

Damn even Rodney King came back from the other side to support the Dolphins...

Today is truly a day of miracles..

Hard to see your high ground here when you call everyone his "jackoff buddies".

I know, it is ok for your buddy to call others dikk and you defend him. Go back to chatting up your favorite trolls.

Funny both Kosar and Pennington didn`t have strong arms but both were least intercepted QB`s of their time, and both are very smart players , sure both would be better then Magoo

Wait until they put together an O-line. the sky the limit. Ya Baby\\ Great WIN

WHAT A GAME! WAY TO GO DOLPHINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thill is a better runner than either Penny or Kosar.

His deep balls to players other than Wallace are not too bad.

Short and intermediate, he is a weapon.

Go Lions !!!

The deep ball will come...

Im saying Penny or Kosar should be our next OC , both very smart ball players , am sure they`d both make great OC

...WOW!!! First off. What a game. Tannehill was nails today. Micheal Thomas..You made the best play on a ball a Miami defender has made in who knows how long. Jeff Ireland is a lot of things. Love him or hate him. The acquisition of Thomas this week, an acquisition that nobody talked about. Paid off in aces. That was a game saving play by a guy nobody here had ever heard of. Then the Int. to seal the game.

I was shaking like an alcoholic that last 30 seconds. Thank you to my wonderful girlfriend for not throwing a fit, and being cool about interrupting our trip to watch the game..

I've been saying all season, but we need a Eddie Lacy type next year.

Wow the Dallas D sucks.. Monte Kiffen not setting the world on fore either.

Or fire lol

Darryl if Thomas wasnt there the receiver had already ran past the ball with Wlson behind him ball would have gone through end zone, it was nice icing on the cake though to put exclamation point on game with int , but it didn tsave game

Ireland picks up a winner, ha ha.

JI, does us proud. The team looks pretty solid considering the amount of injuries we have had.

..Brian..I'm talking about the play 2 previous where Thomas knocked the ball out of Amendolas hands...Beautiful play.

Been waiting for you to get here. Great post.

Sucks Paterson couldn t get his Johnson in whack, him and Grimes on the field all the time would have been one or two more wins

Romo-ception! What an epic collapse... dez Bryant crying again.

Wow Romo really throws it away into the opponents arms so often.

DeZ Bryant a great player, but what a DIVA, he marches off the field in disgust.

Guess Flynn isn't that bad after all ?

Dez! That's my ho's boy!

..Sam I Am ...I have been driving since the final whistle. Finally checked into the hotel, and couldn't wait to participate on the blog.

Tannnehill:

3,627yds 23tds 14ints

25tds 4,000yds well within reach now.

T'hill now tied for lead with Russell Wilson(23tds) amongst 2nd year qb's. Great job T'hill!

I know right Mark.. I hate the Cowboys and have to feel a little sorry for them after that debacle. Finally somebody more snakebit than us.
