Miami Dolphins defeat Patriots, 24-20

Well, the dynasty isn't exactly dead ... But the Dolphins put a significant dent in the New England Patriots armor this afternoon.

Dolphins 24. Patriots 20.

It ended when Michael Thomas, signed last week, intercepted Tom Brady on fourth down with mere seconds to play. The Patriots in typical fashion had driven from their own 20 to inside the Dolphins red zone.

Ryan Tannehill, meanwhile, outdueled Tom Brady. He engineered the drive for the go ahead points. He hit the go-ahead TD. He finished the day 25 of 37 for 312 yards with three TDs and no interception. Tannehill's rating was 120.7.

Yes, this is the Dolphins biggest win under Joe Philbin.

I'm gonna eat a big ole NY strip tonight and tomorrow when I take a huge dump I'm goin to imagine it is in some trolls mouth...

My lap dog will also have on his doggy dolphins sweater and his Lil bootsies!

For Miami to be 7-9 they will have to when two more games. Which ones?

Won't beat Pats, won't be Pitt, couldn't beat Buffalo at home much less in Buffalo, and won't sweep Jets. I see one more win at best, one of the two JET games.

Philbin will never beat Belichick.

0-4 after this year.

0-6 should he survive next year.

The former Green Bay game planning assistant can't play chess with Belichick.

Grandpa Philby is simply over matched.

did they showed the one play from the game that was when the patrots player have the football came out but the referes did not call it fumble but it was!! I saw it with my own eye and was no doubt a fumble!! but any ways they win the game but still it could have been a terrible call if not. do they show this on the espn ? I didnt see it

Bill,

Come back when you can write English.

Bill you have the intelligence of a stinky fart. Move to a trailer park and marry an aging tattooed lady with bad teeth and tattoos.

Dolphins 24 Patriots 20 eh?

did they showed bobble gumba kooko mama peepee kaka?

Tannehill outduels Brady eh?

Patriot homers are stupid eh?

Tannereach? eh?

Dolphins have now beaten 3 of the 4 AFC division leaders.

EH?

The Pats had no big incentive.

A tattooed lady with tattoos? Imagine that!

Steelers letting Bengals back in, WTF !!!

The Pats had no big incentive.

Posted by: Just Saying | December 15, 2013 at 11:07 PM

No?, except for home field advantage through the playoffs!

OOOOHHHHHH DUH

The Pats had a huge incentive in the form of homefield throughout the playoffs. You could almost say it was must win.

Forget the Cheatriots...this team needs to win out get into the playoffs...that means a trip to buffalo next...they may have made a statement today but the next game is just as important...

clabo should be released

Posted by: dusty bottoms | October 03, 2013 at 01:58 PM

WTF was that coverage.

The Steelers now show why they are so Shittt

The patriots did not care if they won today, and do not care about traveling to Denver for the playoffs...so the Dolphins victory is not a big deal.

Steelers need to to get something going here. What the hell are they doing playing conservative, their season is over.

The Bengals aren't going to pi$$ on our parade.

Go Steeler !!!

Tannehill will never be a franchise QB.

Bengals are calling their timeouts already.

Steelers need a couple of first downs and hold onto the ball for us, thats the least they can do, no ?

It was a big deal to Brady....

WTF,

Steelers almost giving the game to the Bengals, this sucks serious balls !!!

OK Bengals no TO's. Steelers need one more first down.

Looking at schedule, we should be able to beat the Bucs, but that's about it. Looks like 4-12 this year. Good draft pick, any good QB's coming out?

Uhhhh...Clabo got benched...one reason was because MAYBE he was playing like chyt and was a HUGE factor in losses to Buffalo AND Baltimore...he lost his job to the biggest P**SY to ever play OL...he got a second chance when the Big Weirdo pulled up its skirt...and Cogs punted it in the CU N-ext T-uesday...Big Swagga came in and fortified the left side and Clabo has since played very good football...in October??? Not so much...

How can the Steelers balls this up so bad.

Go Steelers !!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHHAHA

AND WE GAVE ROSS AN EXtENSION!!!!

HAHAHAHA

THE ROOKIES HE DRAFTED DONT DO A THING!

NOT ONE PLAYER IS DOING ANYTHING!!!!

HE COULD HAVE TRADED FOR ALBERT TOO

HAHAHAHAHAH

5-11 IS WHAT I SAID EVEN AFTER 3-0!!!

5-11 AT BEST!!!!

WHAT A JOKE!!! HSHSHSHSHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA

The scary thing is, San Diego Carolina the Jets twice N.England twice and Cincy they can very easily lose all 7 of those games. Brady twice Rivers C.Newton A.Dalton is on fire now and a Jets young and very talented defensive front. With this cluesless coaching staff a potential 5-11-6-10 disasterous season looms ahead for this team !!
Posted by: mace taggart | October 21, 2013 at 06:02 AM

Yes.... Steelers force 4 and out against the Bengals !!!

You don't give up #1...persistant...

With the bengals lose we control our own destiny. Win the next two and we make the playoffs. At 10-6 we will either beat the ravens or the bengals for the 6th seed. If the ravens win out they win the AFDC north and we win a tie break over the 10-6 bengals. If the bengals beat the ravens we win the wildcard outright.

Steelers, do a nice job for us.

Now we win the next two we are in no matter what happens to the Ravens.

Hey Jaison

Marco! You came to?

Great win, and great progress from the team and Tannehill. Maybe the Fins have finally gotten things right!!!

Lol @ Craig M 8:21. Could it be that more than one person thinks you're a douchebag? Why, apparently yes! You are the only one who doesn't see it that way, though. It's all the same poster calling you out. Sure, Internet Tough-Guy.

NBC isn't here yet?

It was a big deal to Brady....

Posted by: The D firm | December 15, 2013 at 11:23 PM

Of course it was a big deal to Brady and the patriots! The post at 11:17 was a PURELY SARCASTIC reply to a previous post that said the patriots had little incentive to win.

Unsure if I'm prouder of Team, Win, Michael Thomas's improbable journey to Hero, or my measured reactions throughout the year to the roller coaster that has been The Dolphins' season.

One thing is beyond cavil. Unlike you Haters, Whiners, Doom-and-Gloomers, and back-to-the Bandwagon cowards, I never lost faith in this Team or its personnel.

You're Welcome.

I will say that the time cloud pared and then it was with clarity the Miami Dolphins began their ascent. Of course all is known I the future so until we are there it is still among the eternal mystery.

No. Ape Tamer is a certifiable moron. Eh?

Joseph, are you on LSD?

On my scoresheet the Dolphins won the Redzone 17-13 thats the 4 point difference in the game folks. The takeaway battle was even with no points scored directly off of the free chances(takeaways)
These 3 stats explain the games in an easy format easier than a baseball scoresheet. The minor changes I have made during this season are using takeaways so as not to comfuse fumbles with fumbles lost and Red Zone scoring instead of TD/FG ratio. If you convert Red Zone drives into TDs you will win the Red Zone.
The other 7 points scored by NE and Miami were longer than 20 yard plays both passes in this game a 24 yarder by the Pats and a 39 yarder by the Dolphins all this off the top of my head(my scoresheet made my memory of the game a lot more precise)

No. Ape Tamer is a certifiable moron. Eh?

Thought you never changed your name kris?

Feels great, but worry about Grimmes

I'm one of those who asked for Ireland to be fired in the past. I still think that this fellow should be out of this team next season or asap, regardless if the Dolphins make the playoffs or lose the last two games. Our last 3 wins are despite Ireland, is that clear ?
Philbin start learning how big games are to be approached.
But it's time to celebrate not to reply to some people that lack selfcriticism.
Go Dolphins !

I was thinking at the time the botched field goal might come back to bite us at the end, but just like last week, we had a little luck on our side. Last week brown steps out of bounds by an inch and this week an unlikely hero, michael thomas made 2 huge great defensive plays to get the win. Now lets roll on and beat buffalo next week. btw- i could almost hear mad dog screaming "all right miami!'
GO MIAMI!
