Walt Aikens signs with the Dolphins

Walt Aikens has some work to do with the Dolphins.

The fourth-round draft pick today seemed to labor through practice and eventually left the field early, escorted by a trainer. It seems the heat might have gotten to him or he needs to get in a bit better shape. A source close to Aikens said the defensive back suffered from dehydration and that he hopes to get back on the field tomorrow.

But at least he's signed.

Aikens just now agreed to a four-year deal with the Dolphins, making him the highest draft pick to agree with the team so far. Aikens is also the fifth of eight draft picks signed.

The unsigned draft picks are first-rounder Ja'Wuan James, second-rounder Jarvis Landry and third-rounder Billy Turner.

THE JAGS NEEDED AN OL SO THE SIGNED ZANE BEADLES SUPER
Bowl starter.
The Jets needed an OL so they signed Giacomini a super bowl starter.
The Dolphins needed 3 OL after they signed Albert so they signed Fox & Smith 2 career backups, and then fortified that with the 6th best and 12th best OL in draft.
Good thing Hickey is smarter than Caldwell and Idzik otherwise I would suspect that he was making the dolphins worse not better.

ExposingTheFraud,

Thank you again for introducing me to this blog. you told me that once i started squandering all of my time in here that my life would improve and it has.

NONE OF THE PLAYERS WITH A CHANCE TO MAKE THE TEAM HAVE

Signed. All of the players with no chance to make the team have signed.

Most of those undrafted rookies are just human hitting bags.

Have any of you guys looked at the roster and thought.... Who the F"CK are these people.

give hoot don't pollute

Yeah marco. I guess you didn't see the list of last years pro bowlers.
There's a 5th round corner Philly drafted that is pretty good.
I didnt hear anyone here crying when he wasn't drafted.

This blog is a freak show.

Fck face playing Center if Pouncey is suspended.

This blog is a virtual enema.

Believe it or not, some years back this used to be a very good blog. Several bloggers here would go at it almost nightly, but good, legitimate debate. Entertaining, educational.

Now?

It's turned into a poo poo fight among children. Nothing worth tuning in for. I thought it would get better one day, it's only gotten worse.

The statement about the jets signing a FA vs the Dolphins signing draftees misses two points: 1) you want to build your team from the draft not FAs; 2) this was an incredibly deep draft and getting a starting guard and a starting tackle from a 1st and a 3rd draft choice would be a coup.

Or a human centipede.

Some of the things you've posted lately a made for pretty good reads under this screen name.....

I think Aikens has a very legit shot at making the team given he's a Bigger CB than the ones we have right now. He was a Div 1-A player before getting the boot for theft at Illinois which has had some good D's over the Yrs. since Gators DC Ron Zook took that job. We dafted V.Davis out of there (Should have Coached him up instead of trading) the draft pick we got as compensation we used on J.Taylor. If Aikens along with last Yrs. CB's step up we should be good for sometime given the Vet Depth we have today. I'm hoping Taylor wins the RCB Pos. and either Aikens or Davis step up pushing Grimes giving us size at CB again.

I also feel Jordy Tripp makes this team and pushes Trusnik (Worthless player WHO COUNTS to much against CAP#) out the door! Unless Egnew steps up big in T.C. I think Lynch boots him as well so there are a couple of guys here that can make the team and if everything holds true Aponte ha everybody in Camp signed by the end of the weekend.

I'm coming home. I'm coming home. Tell the world I'm coming home. I know my kingdom awaits, and they forgiving my mistakes. I'm coming home, I'm coming home.

Cleveland 2014

I'm back where I belong......

The word Fact in the dictionary means one thing.

On the blog it means drivel dump.

The Herald and the Sentinel already reported Aikens and Tripp are a lock to make the team.

So ff4life has nothing better to do than to respond to the likes of FckFace.

How sad is that?

3 peat please. Then you can go. No one would care.

signed, Piss poor Miami fans

It easy to complain.
Its harder to innovate.
if you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem.

Who does the LB send to the waiver wire?

Come back home LeBron, We love you here!

We love you Bron

IN 1979, ON LONG ISLAND, I WENT OVER MY BOY RAYMOND

Harrison's house. I walked in without knocking like I lived there. I saw his father sitting on the sofa drinking a Schmidts and I said, "Hey Mr. Harrison".
He replied, "You don't have to call me Mr. Harrison. You can call me Bob or FckFace".

I recalled this incident last week and immediately changed my handle to

The Heat dont need Lebron to win championships. Lebron needs the Heat to win championshps. Remember Alonzo Highsmith and Shaq and Hardaway and Dwayne Wade?? Riley gets the best!

If your Josh Kaddu (Has spent 3 Yrs. teasing with potential yet it hasn't happened with a breakout performance to date) and Trusnik you bring your "A" games and pronto!

FckFace

Darky has to finish eating his peas and then do some chores. He'll be right with you afterwards.

your welcomed back here LeBron.

wade needed Shaq.

wade needed Lebron.

before Shaq= nothing

before Lebron= 6th seed

you see

We got the best years of Lebron. He's getting older and he wont win anything without the Heat.

Lebron so talented he took no names such as

Ira newble

Donel marshal

Dru gooden

to the championship against the spurs, who has wade taken?

Zo won championships.

Came away with one very important thing from Day 1 Rookie Mini Camp:

HICKEY > IRELAND

we miss you Bron

Alot of James endosments are tied into his time with the HEAT including the one which should net him the most money his new AT&T App. His association to Arison has grown his Empire through top notch marketing which I think means alot to him. Also no secret K.Erving wants out of Cleveland as well. That team has had the #1 overall selection 3 out of the last 4 Yrs. in a Sport were one player can transform a franchise yet are still cellar dwellers! They also play in one of the worst TV Markets in the Nation. All these things factor into any decision made by James when contemplating going back there. At the end of the day alot made of a response he gave to a question about what is his Home Town at the end of the day!

In what regard??

Lebron enrolled his kids into Akron Private schools as of easter. Coincidence? Anyhow, Lebron had many endorsements before leaving. And reports are false about K.Irving leaving. many reports say it would be foolish to reject a rookie contract extension. only one player has done that in the NBA.

I actually love that Fck face story, lol
I'm thinking Wheeler and his contract = waiver wire
And Trusnik

Got to: miamidolphins.com and listen to the "drafted rookies" post practice interviews.

These guys are all tough, smart, and play football with a "chip on their shoulders." Listening to them speak, they sound nothing like the players Ireland drafted.

Listening to Ireland's draft classes I never came away with the same feeling I came away with this draft crop as a whole. For the most part, Ireland's draft picks sounded and played like football deficient knuckle heads.

I know there's still far to go, but, thus far I'm really feeling this draft class. Not to mention 23 undrafted fa's with a decent chance to make the roster.

Sam, there is a reason your name rhymes with Spam.

Lebron's going nowhere, let alone back to Cleveland.

Get Sense! It would be 3yrs, in the very least, that Lebron could get a "rebuilt" Cleveland team to a championship game. That's ASSUMING(ass of you and me) their gm did EVRYTHING PERFECT.

So, more REALISTICALLY let's call it 4 YEARS before Lebron ever gets back to a championship game if he returns to Cleveland. Lebron's 29 now, meaning a 33yr old Lebron would then have to help them win a championship.

With injuries, bodily wear and tear, combined with other intangibles. That would be a tall ask for even Lebron. Also, other teams will have gotten better and emerged on the championship scene too.

Lebron's best chance for more rings is here in Miami, where he's both the caliber player and in a city that can attract other lucrative fa's. Great thing Lebron's much smarter than babbling fools of this blog.

23 undrafted fa's with a decent chance to make the roster.

Posted by: SAM I AM | May 23, 2014 at 10:20 PM

that just shows you how pathetic the team is

was supposed to be 2-3, not 23.

babbling fools of this blog.

Posted by: SAM I AM | May 23, 2014 at 10:31 PM

Only a babbling fool would frequent this cesspool.

In what regard?
Ireland = Clyde Gates
Hickey = Jarvis Landry
One is a real receiver
The other - not so much

Uhhh.....Landry has done nothing!

Sam hates every draft the day after then loves it a week later. He loved Gates and told us all his blah blah blah LOL

NFL Receptions

Gates 30

Landry 0

What?
Gates 30 catches in 3 years.
WOW!
Oh I forgot, he can't run routes and has questionable hands.

Clyde Gates

2011 = 2 catches - O TD's
2012 = 16 catches - 0 TD's
2013 = 12 catches - a ton of drops - O TD's

So....
You run a 4.2 and never sniffed the end zone

And according to Rotorworld - he shouldn't be in the league

NFL Receptions

Gates 30

Landry 0

Jordan Tripp looks like a smart LB.

Landry will have 30 catches by week 8.

Believe it or not the team's status has nothing to do with the quality of an internet blog.

It is a fact that none of our LBs last Season had the smarts to call the DLine alignments. That hurt us mightily. We might have found a smart LB in Tripp and a WLB at that.
