A play about identity

SheheThinking Cap Productions, a Fort Lauderdale company whose aim is to present socially conscious experimental work, has a provocative new play running at the Wine Cellar Restaurant through Saturday, which happens to be the Transgender Day of Remembrance.

Written by Nick Mwaluko and directed by Nicole Stoddard, S/HE is a piece about the personal journey of a man living in a woman's body.

Performances of the show are at 8 p.m. tonight, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.  Dinner precedes the show at 7 p.m., and the cost for the meal and performance is $32.50 (server's tip not included).

The Wine Cellar is at 199 E. Oakland Park Blvd. in Oakland Park.  For info, call 1-813-220-1546 or visit the Smarttix web site.
