Lineups -- Marlins/Dodgers (Saturday)

Cody Ross is riding a 15-game hitting streak, three of the last five starters for the Marlins have pitched into the eighth, and the sky is not falling. John Baker is behind the plate for the third time in the last four games, which pretty much confirms him as THE catcher for now -- or at least until Matt Treanor emerges from the DL (which doesn't look like anytime soon) or the Marlins make a trade for a new backstop, whichever comes first.

Enticing pitching matchup between Nolasco and Kuroda, who took a perfect game into the eight in his last start. With a victory tonight, the Marlins will close to within 1/2-game of the Phillies, who already lost today. The Mets won their eighth straight and are right there, too. The Braves are heading in the wrong direction going into the All-Star break.
