Ugg UGGLA UPDATE

Dan Uggla did some light jogging and hit in the cages today at Coors Field and the second baseman says he feels good and is farther ahead than he thought he would be at this point.

Uggla said the swelling on his left ankle has not gone down completely, but he will try to take batting practice on the field on Friday.

Uggla expects to be back before the current road trip ends. The Marlins play 4 in Colorado, then 3 games at San Diego and 4 at Los Angeles before the All-Star break.

TANKS FOR THE CALLUP

Taylor Tankersley is big back in the majors and here in Denver with the Marlins after being called up Tank_2 from Triple A to replace Eulogio De La Cruz, who was sent down to Albuquerque after Wednesday's win over the Nationals. Tank pitched in 23 games this season for the Marlins and was 0-1 with a 7.16 ERA before being sent down. He gives the Marlins two lefties in the bullpen now with Renyel Pinto. With the Isotopes, Tank appeared in 12 games and was 0-1 with a 1.98 ERA.

kevin gregg is the biggest turd in the majors

Kevin Gregg sucks. He's killing this team!

I hope Uggla doesn't miss enough games to hurt his chances at winning the home run title, he really deserves it...
