The Marlins have just announced that Alfredo Amezaga is returning to South Florida from the World Baseball Classic in order to have his sore left knee examined by the team doctor.
Amezaga played in Mexico's loss to Australia on Sunday, going 2 for 5 with a home run. But the Marlins said he was heading back to Florida because of "stiffness" in the knee.
The Marlins' super sub missed several spring training games due to knee soreness before receiving medical clearance and leaving for the WBC.
More details as we get them.

I cannot believe that the Marlins let him play less then a week after hurting his knee... This just sounds like an ACL or some sort of tear... Everytime you hear "knee stiffness", it is usally bad
