The Marlins whittled the roster this morning, trimming four pitchers. Foremost among those was Rule 5 draft pick Zach Kroenke, who was returned to the New York Yankees.
The Marlins also optioned RHPs Dallas Trahern to Triple A New Orleans and Chris Leroux to Double A Jacksonville, and re-assigned LHP Aaron Thompson to minor-league camp.
