Jorge Cantu Named NL Player of the Week

            Jorge Cantu became the second Marlin this season to garner NL Player of the Week honors, joining pitcher Josh Johnson.

           Cantu put up gaudy numbers last week:

           -- .346 batting average

           -- 4 home runs

           -- 15 RBI

           -- .846 slugging percentage

           -- .433 on-base percentage

          Tampa Bay third baseman Evan Longoria received AL Player of the Week honors for the second time this season. Longoria and Johnson were POW recipients the first week of the season.
