Manager Fredi Gonzalez made a few changes to the lineup hoping to hit the combination that sparks the offense. Cameron Maybin is moving up to the 2nd spot, where he has hit .259 this season (compared to his .189 average hitting 8th). Cody Ross, who is slumping like pretty much everyone else in the bottom half of the lineup, moves down to 8th. John Baker goes to 5th.
"We're all pretty much struggling," Ross (.224) said of the lower half of the order, which also includes Dan Uggla (.196) and Jeremy Hermida (.239).
