Looking a little gloomy at the Shark Tank in more ways than one. Dark clouds are hovering, befitting the mood surrounding the Marlins. The Rays aren't just going for a series sweep this afternoon. They're going for their eighth consecutive win in South Florida. The seven previous games have been decided by a cumulative score of 68-19! Ouch.
Here are the lineups:
Marlins: 1. Emilio Bonifacio, 3b; 2. Jeremy Hermida, rf; 3. Hanley Ramirez, ss; 4. Ross Gload, 1b; 5. Dan Uggla, 2b; 6. John Baker, c; 7. Cody Ross, cf; 8. Chris Coghlan, lf; 9. Josh Johnson, p.
Rays: 1. B.J. Upton, cf; 2. Carl Crawford, lf; 3. Evan Longoria, 3b; 4. Carlos Pena, 1b; 5. Ben Zobrist, rf; 6. Jason Bartlett, ss; 7. Akinori Iwamura, 2b; 8. Dioner Navarro, c; 9. James Shields, p.

Agai, don't mind Coghlan in the lineup but what in the H E double hockey sticks is he doing out in LF? We can have Gload out there as he has proven to be able to play the corner OF positions and have Coghlan in first. Also, give me that bad news that Fredi is back just to make what has already gotten off to be a terrible day to put the icing on the cake to a terrible, horrific weekend.

shut up paolo. gload doesnt play lf and coghlan doesnt play 1b. nice try though idiot

While I never like to back Negative Nancy, Gload has played 517 inning in the OF. On the flip side, Coghlan hasn't ever played any 1B, and it's not nearly as easy as Paolo seems to think.
The truly obvious solution is actually putting Coghlan at 3B, which is his natural position, and Bonifacio in LF or RF, where he's played a bit in pros and played a good bit in ST and Dominican Ball.

See, if you would watch some games you would know that Gload has been sent out there a couple times. For us, he has played 1st base, right field, left field and of coursed pitched for an inning.
Need I go to the great Clark Spencer to confirm this for you so we can put to rest that I am an idiot and really the only idiot here is you. Coghlan is a second baseman and that is the only spot he should be playing if need be to give Uggla a break, not LF.
Again, your the idiot. Thank you and good day to you young lady.

I am with you Rab. I am not saying it is easy at all because it is truly not.

Paolo, please remember that Coghlan is not only a second baseman, he's a natural third baseman who was moved to second because his bat didn't project for enough power as a 3B.
Please remember that you should know what positions your players can play before insulting someone else for not doing that.

Rab, yes I know he is not only a second baseman and was drafted as a third baseman accroding to cbssports.com I am aware of the facts.
