Latin Band provides soundtrack at Marlins Park

Who says Marlins games are sleep inducing?

The Marlins Park "Pachanga Band" makes sure that doesn't happen -- at least when they're hired to come work. The band performed during Friday's game against the Phillies.

Last season the Marlins hired them to perform 26 times and then a few more during the World Baseball Classic. I went downstairs to record one of their performances tonight as they sat in left field near the foul pole.

He won't sell before 2016. Even if no one shows he makes money .
Any wasted starting pitching performance . No hitting , poor bullpen .

It's one thing to lose. It's another to have the game virualllly won but lose out because Pierre didn't run in an obvious running situation with our fastest man on first base. Either Pierre is hurt...then why is he in there...or Redmond held him up. A glaring tactical blunder. Great starting pitching again.

Flav C.

It was mentioned on the radio that Redmond does not hold base-runners (the few that actually reach base).
Interesting that Pierre had 1 steal attempt for every 3 times he reached base last season.
This season? 1 steal attempt for every 5.5 times.
I love JP, but even his bunt-attempts have been pretty ridiculous.

Juan Rodriguez (sunsentinel beat reporter) tweets that Stanton is getting MRI tomorrow. He's been feeling discomfort since last Sunday.
Get ready, folks.

I agree that Pierre should have run tonight when he had a chance late in the game, but this catastrophe of a season has made everybody on the team timid. When you know you can only get three or four base runners in the entire game, you're scared to take a chance. If Pierre had run and been thrown out, everybody would be saying what an idiot. I don't think Pierre is hurt or lost his speed, it's just harder to find an opportunity to run when you're always behind, which wasn't the case with the Phillies last year.

Funny tweet by Joe Capozzi:

"John Buck has 19 RBIs this season...3 more than the entire Marlins".

Grand Slam for that son-of-a-#$@$& today against the Twins...

Who's on first base

Turner lasted 2.1 innings tonight at AAA. 5 hits and 1 ER. I'm wondering if Turner too got injured.
