Marlins place Matt Diaz on DL, call up OF Jordan Brown

The Marlins have placed Matt Diaz on the disabled list with a bruised left knee and called up outfielder Jordan Brown from Triple A New Orleans to take his spot on the roster.

Diaz hasn't played a whole lot since receiving his call-up, going just 3 for 18 overall. But Diaz was 2 for 7 with a RBI as a pinnch-hitter.

Brown, 29, appeared briefly in the majors with Cleveland in 2010, hitting .230. With New Orleans this season, he was hitting .261 with one home run in 119 at bats.

In other news, the Triple A Zephyrs activated third baseman Kevin Kouzmanoff, who had been on the DL.

What happened to Lomo's buttbuddy Petey ???

Poo Poo Platter for Loria

4 months until history! The 62 Mets have nothing on this group of losers.

At least they're consistent at something!

boozer

Oh good, Jordan Brown.

Lou

I believe we should give this young man a chance. He may be one of those late bloomers.

Dear Poo Poo, I don't really believe they will pass the Mets in the record book. It is almost inconceivable that they would only win 28 of their next 118 games. 28-90---Contemplate that!!!!

PLUS we will soon have the left handed stroke of Logan Morrison and eventually Kotchmann will be back at 1B giving us at least 3 guys to play that position. With our trio of catchers we have depth at 2 positions rarely seen. Of coures Stanton might just decide to sit out rest of season to stick it to Loria, but who can say. All in all i say we stand behind our sturdy groop of gamers and watch them grow. With the impending explosion of talent getting ready at the minor league level we can soon be contenders as Mr Loria opens his wallet to augment all the talent about to burst upon the scene.

Let's Go Marlins!!! Let's Go Marlins!!! Let's Go Marlins!!!

Poo Poo-- These players are not losers, they are players who are trying to become pros in the bigs. I could say that the loser is the owner that refuses to help his club out when they need it the most. Shame on you Mr. Loria do the right thing and sell the team to a group that cares about the game. Don't disrespect your manager in front of his players either Mr. Loria.

petey

The left handed stroke of Logan Morrison is consistantly better in his bathtub ,than in the batters box.

BozoLomo

R U sayin Lomo's a better jerkoff than a hitter?..sounds about right
