Pete,

Please explain to me a few things.
1. Why is it that when I look to the sidelines at the FIU-UF game in Gainesville, I see our impressive coaching staff wearing the colors of the following schools (Arkansas, Arkansas State, Army, Central Florida, Cinci, Georgia, Houston, Iowa, Louisville, Missouri...) You get my point *BLACK* It is embarrassing that our coaching staff wears black and not Blue or Gold. Who makes these wardrobe decisions?
2. What was up with the play calling on two fourth and short attempts. An option...on the short side of the field...against one of the is not the fastest defense in the country!!!???
A Daunte Owens run up the gut with a defensive line that engulfs our sunbelt caliber O-line!!??
3. Lastly, Who does Antoine Walker think he is...I'm sorry wrong Antoine, I meant Antoine Watson. Does he realize that he maybe shouldn't shoot everytime he touches the ball? He is not 3-point sharp shooter like Antoine Walker haha but tried to be. .235 FG% & .200 3P% is unacceptable!.

wow... alot of hate coming from FIU010 lol..um i wouldnt be so worried about the wardrobe of the coaching staff.. that really doesnt matter much in the scheme of things... blue and gold would be nice.. but really.. not something that really matters... point 2.. i guess we could have tried a short screen against the UF D... however they were jumping that bubble screen to the RB all game (pick 6) and sending our WR accross the middle against spikes... askin for trouble.. but your right that play calling was a bit questionable.. monday morning qb moment .. point 3.. i agree.. this kid needs to start trusting his teammates a bit

Perhaps school officials are toying with the idea of becoming the Black Panthers of FIU.

All in all, after seeing how atrocious our defense has been all year long, to finish with one less win than we did last year would be a positive at this point.

I love MC and I'm not suggesting this at all, it's just simply a question to the rest of the FIU faithful: Would Pete Garcia consider making a run at Charlie Weiss if he becomes available?

if charlie weiss cant be successful at notre dame, what makes you think he can have an impact here?

CJ,

Love the response. I agree, the wardrobe will not effect the on field play but it is like a buzz saw to the affinity we are all striving for here at FIU, the Golden Panther Family. Also, I was just in a hating mood after an emotional roller coaster of FIU losses from Football, Volleyball losing the Sunbelt Championship for the 2nd year in a row and Men's Bball losing. All in all... GO GOLDEN PANTHERS!!!!

There is no chance Charlie Weiss will come to FIU. No way he comes near FIU. To go from the NE Patriots to ND to FIU is such an obvious drop off. Not even happening. Plus it would take a couple of million dollars per year to bring him in. Not going to happen.

I am very disappointed but lets give Mario one more year. He only has two years left on his contract anyway. but he has to find a better defensive coordinator and assistants. Scour the country. Search the american league, the national league, the negro league. but please find a new coordinator. (LOL. by the way this was an allusion to the simpsons, Mr. Burns).

Since we're on the topic of wardrobes.... has anyone else found it odd that the basketball team isn't using the new uniforms that they wore last year? Those has stitched letters and numbers and looked a lot more modern than the ones they are currently using. The one they're using now are from a few years back when we first changed the FIU logo to the new "angry" Panther.

Was wondering if anyone else noticed. And maybe if Pete had something to add on the subject.

I'm not sure how you reached that conclusion from my simple question.

You know, sometime back in the Spring I would've said the same thing about Isiah Thomas. You just never know, do you?

You guys are overreacting, I'm simply asking if Pete Garcia would entertain the idea. I'm not asking whether Charlie Weiss would actually accept the job. Much less did I imply whether he'd be successful as a FIU coach. That's just ridiculous.
