A Wednesday mid-week game for the Panthers before New Orleans comes to FIU for a Sun
Belt series this weekend.
Bethune Cookman (19-14) is here and they always seem to give FIU (19-13) trouble. The Panthers are coming off dropping 2 of 3 games at Middle Tennessee last weekend. Getting ready for the first pitch here shortly, time to go LIVE blogging.

No one is happier to see this blog up than one Adam Beasley. Ouch.

Damn another lose for the Golden Panthers.. This is not how you want to finish your last 20+ games of the season. If they don't sweep this weekend then I would say to hit the panic button. At this point 2 of 3 will not be good enough specially since they have some tough conference games ahead..
Im still hoping they finish among the Top 3 or 4 teams in the Sunbelt and play hard ass baseball during May!
Go FIU!

Very disappointing how they've been playing.

Wow - a crushing loss to Bethune Cookman while the crosstown Canes cruise past FGCU, how does that make you feel GPers? I will say this though, those home white FIU uniforms are really nice.

With all the big names in college basketball announcing schools and stuff I am not hearing much about FIU. I was lead to believe by this blog that FIU was a real player in college basketball recruiting for next year with like a top 15 class, yet I am hearing and reading nothing indicating as much.
Was it all just hype? Where is the FIU love from the media regarding our supposed amazing incomming class? Pete, help.

Regards. FIU basketball had already signed their 5 players for next year's team (2010-11)in the early signing period in November 2009.
The other ones being talked about, like Rakeem Christmas, Coleman, the African kid, etc., are recruits for the 2011-12 class. These kids can NOT sign until the 2011-12 early signing period in November 2010...or the late signing period in April 2011. Hope this helps understand.

The white uni's are nice, right??? Those paired up with the white cleats and white helmets are money... We too beat FGCU, but did not lose to Fordham, Manhattan, or UCF... I think the both of us are playing down right now.

***MIACanes -
I'm a 5th generation anglo-american and Miami native. You are a typical scUM spewing loser. I know you would never speak that way in public, because if you did that standing near me to someone else, I would crush your Jersey washout face into pieces making sure you never open your mouth like that again and sip ENSURE through a straw for months.
Eat $hit & Die !!!
