Garrett Wittels will be interviewed on Sportscenter tonight at 6:15 p.m. after extending his hitting streak to 50 games this morning.
Like I posted on "Why GW is Sun Belt Player of the Year", GW is just the third player in baseball history to reach a hit streak of at least 50 games. Only NCAA leader Robin Ventura (58 games) and MLB leader Joe DiMaggio (56 games) have more.

Umm, I wouldn't say '3rd longest in baseball history', you'll sound like you don't know what you're talking aobut.
There are many minor and lower college division streaks which are longer than these 3 you're referring to above.
Thanks for the heads-up on the GW interview though.

Yeah Pete FIUFan's right. Garrett's not even close to reaching the all time record for major, minor, or college baseball.
Joe Wilhoit of the 1919 Wichita Witches is saddened by your appreciation for his 69 game hitting streak.
