Congrats to Manny, I just hope that when he makes it big he shows a little love to FIU.

Why would he show any love to FIU? He never played here, we were just his third option.

Quijote, same way A-rod donated to UM and he never went there either. It's more of a thank you for the recruiting process and tax break. A guy drafted that high could of gone anywhere he wanted and fiu was second choice... should be made an honorary GP...
Anyone read Loux's carreer might be in danger..arm problems.

Didn't see that, sucks for Loux as he is a really good pitcher.
I am all for making the guys that signed with FIU into honorary GP's. They may not have played here, but they committed here, and should be made to feel like they belong.

Mike Lowell is making $12.5 million this year. Perhaps we can name the field at FIU after him.

If anyone wants to give a check with two commas to the FIU Baseball team Im pretty sure they will name the field after that person.. It just requires a nice rounded 7digit number..
I have NEVER heard of Lowell giving back to FIU in a big way.. For someone that is very loved in Miami and the FIU community you would think our Baseball field would be named after him..
Go FIU!!!
