There was no easing into training camp for FIU basketball Friday, as Isiah Thomas held an intense two-hour session Friday night, the team's first official day of practice.
The Golden Panthers, with full attendance of their eligible players, went at it with end-to-end, one-on-one defending drills within the session's first hour.
Sporting new, all-blue workout gear, FIU's senior class began preparations for its final collegiate season.
That group included Alex Legion, who has transferred twice -- from Illinois and Kentucky -- and won't be eligible play until after this semester. Legion, a guard, played in 39 games at the schools, starting three.The Panthers have another practice scheduled for Saturday afternoon, with less than a month before its season opener against Florida Memorial.
