We beat FSU one year during Rouco's tenure. It might've been his first or second year.

It was vacated.

We beat them when we had Almonte, I dont think we had to vacate anything in basketball.

Yes, we beat them during Rouco's first year, but per NCAA, FIU had to vacate some of those wins, apparently including the FSU win. It shows as a vacated win (not shown in our records, but an asterisk describes the vacated win) in our books, but it still shows as a loss in FSU's (and every other opponent of a "vacated" win) record books. That's a little lesson for today....

So, you could choose how to report the series record. FSU has no choice and reports it as FSU leading it 8-1: http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/fsu/sports/m-baskbl/auto_pdf/111810-fiu-notes.pdf

FIU, through its game notes, reports it as FSU leading it 8-0, but right after it there's the "vacated" win explained in parenthesis. This is what it says:

Series History - FSU leads the series, 8-0 (actual 8-1 - one game vacated by FIU due to NCAA sanctions. The last meeting between the two teams resulted in an 82-62 win for the Seminoles on Dec. 6, 2009.

Adam just ommitted the parenthesis information from the FIU Game notes, but officially for FIU it's 8-0 with an asterisk/parenthesis explaining it's 8-1 on the court, while for FSU it's 8-1.
