There won't be a third FIU-FAU men's match.
As the tiebreakers fall, FIU, the No. 10 seed, will open their Sun Belt Conference tournament against No. 7 seed Western Kentucky Saturday at 8:30 p.m. FIU split with Western, blowing them out in Bowling Green and losing a closer defensive struggle at The Branch.
The women's team's first Sun Belt Conference tournament game will be against Louisiana-Lafayette at noon on Saturday.
FIU's women finished third with 102 points, six points behind Sun Belt Conference indoor track champion Middle Tennessee State and five behind runner-up North Texas. The men picked up only 12 points, ninth among the nine teams competing.
