According to Al.com's Wednesday report, Troy quarterback Corey Robinson hadn't been given medical clearance to take the practice field yet, much less play Saturday against FIU. It increasingly looks like Deon Anthony, not the passer Robinson is, will start Satursday.
FIU senior wide receiver Jacob Younger didn't practice again Thursday.
Saturday's 1 p.m. Eastern start suits FIU coach Mario Cristobal, who'd like more of those at FIU Stadium so the heat could help roast visiting teams as it used to for the University of Miami and the Dolphins. Once hardy South Florida fans tend to be almost as roast averse as visiting teams these days, however.

If so... it would be a great time to implement the "FIU beach" idea that was kicked around a few years back. Could you imagine the student section filled with a couple fake palm trees and bikini clad girls?

DJN,
Finally got around to reading your post game blog and must say it was incredible. Usually, I read it immediately after, but I've been down on the disappointment this season has been. In anycase, thanks for continuining to write like a professional. The "writers aka AB/JA" you replaced would stopped long ago.
Keep up the work. It is appreciated. As for me, I will continue to use my season tix and look forward to the improvement of the remaining guys. The coaching staff decisions that MC has to make as well as the impact this dreadful season will have on this upcomming recruiting class.
Thanks.
