DBs decommit in the wake of firing

Carol City defensive back Simeon Thomas and North Miami defensive back Troy McCollum announced their decommitments from FIU via Twitter Friday. Last night, I heard that Belen's Xavier Hines, a third member of what would've been a strong group of freshman defensive backs for FIU (according to ratings of South Florida recruiting types, including our Herald people), also is out.

Panama City Bozeman defensive end Chandler Burkett is in a holding pattern with his committment. North Palm Beach Benjamin tight end Jonathan Pavlov told a Palm Beach reporter he's sticking with his verbal until he meets the new coach.

Good luck to kids that decommitted. Hopefully they change their minds with new coach tha comes in.

It's a mistake to fire Cristobal. Pete Garcia will regret this.

Everyone remember the firing of Thomas and the player walk out, the transfers, etc...

It happens. The new coach will recruit and we will move forward. And if Mario isn't completely full of BS than we are "loaded" with the best three recruiting class as seniors, juniors, sophomores, and red shirt freshman.

Nobody will regret that Mario is gone, he is a bad coach. If you want him take him to UM when Al Golden takes the Wisconsin job.
