3-star 2015 QB commits to FIU

Lakeland Christian's Christian Alexander completed 61.7 percent of his passes (127 of 206) in 2013 for 1,865 yards, 22 touchdowns and four interceptions. Alexander's 6-3, 210, the kind of size that speaks more of a pro-style quarterback FIU coach Ron Turner covets than the dual threat quarterbacks in vogue around college football.

So, count it as a plus for FIU that Alexander, rated at three stars by 247sports.com, Rivals.com and Scout.com, unrated by ESPN.com, announced his commitment to FIU Sunday via Twitter.

Good work by RT's Staff of getting two big commitments from QBs. Now we have to keep them till NSD.
#Panthers.

Hey DJN interestingly while Christian is listed by both 247 and espn as a pro-style QB he ran foe 152 yds and 4 TDs. Rivals lists him as Dual-Threat.

And his Junior highlight looks more like Jake Medlock's tough running style than a ProStyle QB. Apparently he plays Baseball and Basketball in HS too.

152 yards is just 15.2 yards per game. That's not a dual threat QB. But that's not what Turner wants, so it doesn't matter.
