Former Panthers' forward Serge Payer's foundation -- which helps fund research for Guillain-Barre Syndrome -- is trying to raise money this summer and it's pretty easy for folks here in South Florida to help.
Those who would like to help are encouraged to drop off any unwanted cellphones (you know you have a beat-up old Nokia lying around somewhere) or printer ink cartridges at the Pine Island Multipurpose Center in Davie. They can also be mailed to the Serge Payer Foundation at 12911 S.W. 13th Manor, Davie, FL 33325.
The foundation will be collecting the items at the Pine Island Center starting Monday, June 4 through June 29.
