Happy Black Friday to Ya!

Blackfriday_3 Good afternoon folks, just got back from Circuit City where I spent five hours camped out in front of the store only to get inside and find out they don't even sell the Atari 2600 anymore.

And I thought I was going to get a good deal on it too.

Mattel But all was not lost. I ended up with the new Commodore 64 computer; It hooks up right to your television set! I got it all hooked up and have been playing this new game called "Donkey Kong" all day. I also picked up this little hand-held football game. It's from Mattel. I'm bringing that to the game tonight.

-- Speaking of big gorillas, the Rangers are in town. The blueshirts are playing real good hockey right now, even if it wasn't the kind of hockey everyone thought they would be playing. Rangers have won nine of past 11 games this season -- both losses coming to the Islanders.

Good crowd at the morning skate today, fans who came to shop at the team store allowed to watch practice. About 300 people there today, leading to some smart comments from Olli Jokinen.

-- Anyone watching this Colorado-Nebraska game? Cornhuskers can do no right in the second half. Hard to believe it was only six years ago this team played Miami for the national title. Yes kids, Miami and Nebraska used to be pretty good at football.

-- Cory Murphy out again tonight, his bruised shoulder really, really slow to heal. JM doesn't even think he'll be ready to play Wednesday at Washington.

-- Expecting a big crowd today so you might want to get there early to avoid all the cars in the Ikea spillover lot.

-- Photo courtesy of my pal Joe Rimkus Jr., my pick as "Least Likely Miami Herald Photographer to Wake Up at the Crack of Dawn to Shoot a Picture at Best Buy.'' But it was a good pic. Hope he got something nice out of it.
