Day Off in Edmonton

BeachEDMONTON -- The sun is out and the tropical breezes have made for a glorious day here in Western Canada, although if you're going outside in shorts and sandals you might draw some funny looks.

The Panthers worked out in Calgary this morning, and should be headed north on Route 2 anytime now for a second meeting with the host Edmonton Oilers. Since I decided to stay in Edmonton and not make the trek back to Calgary, I don't have a whole lot to do this afternoon. Might head to the beach, perhaps hit some golf balls. Whatever.

Will check back in later, probably earlier than the past couple of days. Meeting the team at the arena and will pass along any news I uncover in our newest, latest LIVE! session from Rexall Place.

Now, off to work on my tan.

But not before....

G-MAN'S DAILY LYNX

-- Puck Daddy looks at the Penguins of Pittsburgh...

-- Steve Y wants to make the jump to NHL GM one of these days. As long as it's soon.
