Greetings from Calgary

CalgaryCALGARY, Alberta -- Wish you were here.

But since you're not, I plan on being your eyes and ears here in beautiful Canada the coming days.

Just had a nice breakfast at the Westin -- where a little Elvis was playing -- so my day is off to a solid start. Heading to the rink here in a moment, and may have live updates once I get there. Have to see if they have wireless or not.

Will tell Bert, Mike and Noodles you all send your very best.

DAILY LYNX JR

-- Speaking of Mike Keenan, he likes the Flames' fitness level.

-- Mathieu Schnieder may be leaving the west coast and heading to the Southeast. USA Today's Kevin Allen says a deal between the Ducks and Thrashers may be in the works.

-- Henrik Lundqvist is having knee problems.

-- Apparently a lot of empty seats at the WestJet Center in Toronto despite the Leafs giving away tickets. We know how they feel.

-- Sad story out of Moscow as Jussi Markkanen's 3-year-old son falls out of a third story window and dies. Our heartfelt condolences to the Markkanen family.
