Just got back from practice (and lunch with Goldie at Pizza Time) where the Panthers worked out for a good little while before breaking for the day.
Nothing major happened, most of the team was back and working on the ice.
The exceptions: Stephen Weiss, Nick Boynton and David Booth did not participate because of their various maladies. Peter DeBoer says everyone is day-to-day and should be cool. Or as Cory Stillman said, "we may not have them all back by Monday, but everyone will be fine by Carolina.''
Said PDeB: "I expect all of those guys to be back for regular practice by the end of the week.''
Adds Booth is probably going to be back on Thursday.
-- Bryan Allen (knee) was back on the ice and participated in all aspects of the practice. Wade Belak was also out there.
-- There seem to be a few believers in the Panthers out there in the media. A couple of the hosts on XM Radio have picked the Panthers to sneak into the postseason with the eighth seed, with television analyst Eddie Olczyk calling the Panthers his surprise team in the east.
So they have that going for them, which is nice.
-- Panthers are back at Incredible Ice Thursday at 11 a.m. Practice is open to the public.
-- Our online contest kicks off tomorrow (well, late tonight). Here's the story: We're giving away four tickets in the ADT Club, a team signed stick, hats, Panthers backpacks and a limo ride to and from the Opening Night game.
More details tomorrow, but basically, all you have to do is check back here each day and answer my trivia question by email. Pretty simple. Contest opens tomorrow and runs through Wednesday at noon; you can enter once per day. Will let the Panthers know the winner Wednesday night and that lucky person will be contacted by the team on Thursday.
Tell your friends.
Sample trivia question: Which Florida Panther used to bring Anna Kornikova to games? Answer: John Vanbiesbrouck*.
Thanks for playing.
(*) -- Everyone knows that Beezer wasn't romantically linked to the former Russian tennis star. The answer, of course, is Bill Lindsay.

I think you are referring to the infamous Dave Lowry or was it Joe Cirella that took Mrs. K to the games??

Hey, I'm a Florida resident in the military, stationed in California. Am I eligible? I may be able to fly out for the weekend if I win, and if not I can give the tickets to family or a fellow Panthers fan from the forums.
Any luck?
