Ricky D in for Isles

Rick DiPietro is out there for the Islanders tonight it appears, the formerly injured goalie getting the brunt of work in warmups.

DiPietro, you may recall, had his season shortened last year because of hip surgery. He later had knee surgery, and that, apparently, has been the source of his problems. DiP only played in one preseason game (a 6-0 loss to these Panthers at the Bank) and this will be his first start of the young season.

-- Also, same lineup for Florida that went Thursday. Yep, Michael Frolik and Anthony Stewart in the pressbox with me (and Brian Biggane!)

George, Here's your minor league report: The Amerks are now 0-5. Matthias is a total waste of time and none of the other Panther "prospects" look like pro hockey players.

Don't be looking down here for any help. Nothing here is ready for the pros, no less the NHL.
