Saturday's Practice -- Glass Sent Down

It was a short one today, the Panthers only on the ice for about an hour. Pete DeBoer apparently wanted to catch the Miami-FSU game.

Actually, he ran them pretty hard in the one hour and the team will take tomorrow off. Next workout Monday at the Bank, morning skate time. Panthers play host to Islanders in the final exhibition game of the preseason Monday at 7.

Pete said the team got good news on Karlis Skrastins, saying everything looks OK and Karlis has been cleared to do some light work. Pete doesn't know when he'll be cleared to practice again.

Everyone else was on the ice today, including Stephen Weiss. He's still questionable for Monday's game.

-- Tanner Glass is checking out of the Coral Springs Marriott, sent down to Rochester after today's practice. Tanner had himself a good camp and is going to be one of the top players for the Americans this season. We'll see Tanner back with the Cats sometime this season I'm sure.
