The Sharks, like the Washington Capitals before them, have new life. Once more, this is a series that's a long way from being done.
Anaheim did a lot of good things in the first two games, and also did a lot tonight. The Sharks scored, Anaheim answered. But San Jose had a little something extra tonight.
This one is going to be a battle to the end, although you have to think Anaheim still has the edge. The Ducks have done this before, and they still have home ice. Anaheim can win Game 4 in SoCal, lose in San Jose and take Game 6 in the O.C. Should be a real good series.
-- Congrats to the Vancouver Luongos for their sweep of St. Louis in the opening round. The Cancuks won tonight in OT and are the first team to move into hockey's Elite Eight. Roberto Luongo, well, he was the difference. As if we hadn't heard that before.
-- Carolina blows a 3-0 lead to visiting New Jersey, only to get a goal with .02 seconds left to beat the Devils 4-3. Martin Brodeur didn't like that he got beat, but, he did. Like a rented goalie, not the Hall of Famer that he is. Marty, relax; you're heading back to Newark tied 2-2.
-- Looks like the Pens are going to rule the Keystone State once more. Philadelphia fans? At least you got the Phillies.
